I'm looking at the new dps spread sheet, and the rupture-free cycle and rupture cycle dont change my dps at all. Even in T8 gear or T9 gear. Is this happening to anyone else? On this spreadsheet i still see T8>T9.245.

What are the optimal stats for an arcane mage? I've heard stuff to get like 2800 spell power and 700ish haste, ignoring crit, is that true? what are the optimal numbers and why?

Well you're gonna want to have as much spellpower as possible. You can go Arcane at anypoint, don't need a certain amount of spellpower. Haste is all dependent on your mana pool really. On my mage raid buffed I have right at 31k mana and I have 812 haste rating. I could personally use some more haste to clean out the mana pool each boss fight. You should use a spreadsheet of some type to figure out the right amount of haste for your own mana pool. There is no optimal haste number. You want to convert as much mana into DPS as possible.

Hello I know a faster weapon in the offhand is better for combat for combat potency procs but my question is this:
How much less is a 1.5 vs a 1.4 weapon worth assuming they have the same dps. i know there has got to be a ep value placed on OH weapon speed but the only place i can find anything is on shadowpanther and i dont really trust it so much. TYVM for your time.

Well i see what you're saying. But It wasn't on a diff night, it was ToC 10 heroic and because our group is still having trouble with beasts, i actually did 6 fights with arpen gems and had agi gems in backback to swap and did ... and keeping rupture up was definitely a noticeable increase.

but hey i guess ill just blindly follow the spreadsheet no matter how uncomfortable that makes me.

The World of Warcraft Armory is my curent survival spec. I literally just replaced my helm and chest last night (got rid of my t8.5), so I don't know if this spec is still more viable than 0/15/56. I was messing around on femaledwarf and found that if I took Aimed Shot out and put 3/3 in improved stings, it would be a dps increase, but you need 15 points in MM to get improved stings. Now that my stings aren't doing 10% more damage, I'll have to run the numbers. Regardless, femaledwarf is showing me that taking out of resourcefulness or expose weakness isn't worth it for that extra improved stings point.

Scratch that last post. Since my gear change, 0/18/53 is a dps increase. Try it out, it's nice.

I'm leaning towards the crafted chest at the moment, guide me o' wise holy paladins.

As always, use rawr. set it up how you like and bingo.. gear choices made easy. Apply alittle common sense here and there of course with regards to gear, rawr can show gains of afew HPS in different gear but chances are you wouldn't even notice that kind of gain in a real fight at which point go with whichever is easist to get.

Recently, I'm finding that rawr is being weighted towards crit quite heavily. It's really just because it doesn't factor in overhealing, which would be very difficult to model effectively. So when it tells you that a crit/mp5 piece is better than a similar haste/mp5 piece, take a second to think about it before you follow it blindly.

Yeah Vengeance still isn't in the DB yet, he's prolly working on it now.

This is my first post and I was wondering if anyone had any input on my set up and spec. Also, should i equip Spiked Battleguard Choker or Might of the Leviathan with the nerf to ArP since im still under hit cap? As far as wepons, should i stick with polearm i currently have or go back to using Edge of Ruin?

So what is the verdict for 3.2.2?

Is flame shock back in for us? and which glyph do we replace?
Is Totem of Quaking Earth now the choice totem for 4p T9 instead of Electrifying Wind?
And has haste become the choice stat after hit/exp cap in 25 man raids?
