So....I heard what I think is the darnedest thing I've EVER heard in the history of my WoW experience. I was told I have TOO MUCH crit (chance)! A death knight tells me that anything over 30% critical suffers a sort of diminishing returns in that one crits more often, but for less. Intrigued, because I'd never heard of this before, I Googled it some, searched on forums, but could find nothing saying this (and maybe I didn't search hard enough, that's possible). I am hesitant to buy into the thought, because feral druids hit 60% critical no sweat and rogues make 45% easily, and honestly speaking, it didn't take any effort for me to get up to my current unbuffed 36% crit.

So can anyone confirm or disprove a crit damage diminishing returns effect?

No such thing as "diminishing returns on critical strike chance/damage". A Critical hit for us is 2x normal damage, no matter what (and, actually, more than that, due to Impale + Meta Gem + Axe/Poleaxe Spec). The only thing that comes close is the "crit cap", but is a total non-issue for the overwhelming majority of Warriors (basically unattainable for us, except in extreme or extremely odd gearing situations). Also, casters only get a base 1.5x normal damage upon critting, but that is by design (DKs in particular are a special case, as they get 2x damage with all crits, if I remember correctly).

I'd call him on this one.

This was just a temporary issue. Ive been dancing around hit and expertise cap. even when they are capped, there is not difference in damage. Even if they are a few tenths of a percent off, aside from the extra crit % due to hit mechanics, a rage potion fixes the damage lost.

?!?! Why would you ever use a rage potion? You get significantly more out of a Haste, Armor, or Crit potion.

I hold Logitech products in general high on my list when considering new products. The last three mice I have bought have all been Logitech and they have worked beautifully. The mice they produce are wonderful.

This should be an easy question to answer but I can't find it anywhere. What percentage of passive armor penetration surpasses soft cap + grim toll in dps?

hello i just started to play warrior again after i had a little break im confused about if i should continue to stack armorpenetration even after i reach the soft cap? (grimtoll)
as for now i gem with str gems instead of arp gems. I can buy 2x t9 ilvl 232 atm thats 6% more armorpenetration from battle stance, but i feel they are such a small upgrade from my t8.5 so i rather wait for ilvl245

edit: should i take away grimtoll and get 2 x t9 for 6%armorpene and gem all arp? i should get quite a lot of arp then

I was wondering if since the two best trinkets in game right now for rogues were Deaths Choice (HEROIC) and Comets trail, Is using all that arp gonna be lowering your dps if you were to otherwise stack Agi gems. I know that unless you have a trinket like Grim toll or Mjolnir Runestone to get yourself to soft cap it is pretty useles to gem for arp. Please people try and help me out just looking for some solid information

Are there any versions of the spreadsheet with lower levels of gear?

It is possible to manually add gear to the spreadsheet by unhiding the "gear" sheet and creating extra rows for the items you wish to add.

I just want to ask several questions since where in the topic of gearing
1.> If the only t9 ilvl245 gear you can get are from VoA 25 would Aurora of Transcendence + 2pcs T9 ilvl232 + 2pcs T9 ilvl245 still the best dps gear for me ?

Trophies are hard to come by for dpser's in our guild, maybe if im lucky i would get 1 trophy but that would take a long long time before that happens thus im not counting on it aswell.

The 2 pcs T9 ilvl245 from voa25 is 50/50 aswell since voa25 farming is really hard because rolling is not a good way to farm.

Aurora of Transcendence is hard to farm aswell since our guild can't do 25man onyx due to connection issues, i could only do it via pugs, thus rolling is not a good way to farm the said helm since almost all casters would roll for it.

2.> Having posted the above statements, is merlin's robe worth getting ?
3.> If the T9 ilvl232 not good at all, what would be the best gear combo

Have been wondering why my dps fluctuates so much & read here that to get maxumum dps from Sniper Training you should be at 30 yards maximum range. This is the first I have read or heard of this requirement and nowhere have I seen this in any of the hunter topics being discussed. Where exactly does it specify this required range?
