ok so i started playing wow in August and im a 80 lock well i got geared fast but for some reason my dps sucks i looked up everything there is to know about spell rotations and the talent trees but im still kinda new to wow so i dont know everything about it but its frusterating when people talk crap to me about how bad my dps was my locks name is raverfaba if you need to look at him to help me out please help!!!! thanks

Currently i'm stacking armor penetration rating and last night [Forsaken Bonecarver] dropped.

Since my off hand dagger does not give armor penetration rating, should i regardlessly go for the off hand sword for some extra armor penetration ?

Short version of the answer to that is
Frost: PVP
Frostfire: Best AOE spec
Fire: Single target DPS, good AOE
Arcane: Best single target DPS, not-as-good AOE

The specifics of your gear naturally influence the relative performances of each spec.

I still fail to see how Fire would out-AoE Arcane in any situation?

can someone give me a quick run down on enhance. Hit cap... what to gem with basic ilvl 219/heroic gear. glyphs totem and normal dps rotation.

The Spreadsheet I believe will be your answer. That rotation looks incorrect. At a high end gear level there will come a time (even for Agi hunters) that Ss will hit harder then Arcane Shot (due to crit bonus).

If a simple answer is what you are after I suggest using the spreadsheet.

Total side note, learn to use your shift key please.

So i'm not really sure if it's the fact that some of my gear is a bit outdated or if there's just something i'm missing with my gems or enchants. I'm hoping someone can help me out, I'm having issues pushing 4k+ in heroic ToC and such.

That's my armory, i know the fury rotation well WW-BT-BS procs, HS when rage > 50. I'm not one to use execute much, I'm not sure if I just don't have the execute part down very well but I find my DPS stays higher if I just keep up with my rotation. I've been trying to get rawr to work for a while now but every time I DL it and it gives me this error of how I dont have all of the correct files. I Dl it form the Rawr cite given by this forum. I've been asking on guild and realm forums and I have been unable to find the correct answer to my problem. Anyone have any ideas?

The things that stand out the most to me is your hit and expertise. You are sitting on 8.36% hit WITH precision you want to be around the 6% (164 rating) mark for optimal hit, though stats over are not wasted because they still remove white misses but you should still try to lower your hit considerable. You are also 12 expertise over the cap which is also pretty detrimental try to take your expertise down from 38 to 26 (214 rating). Your rotation/talent/glyphs are fine however (arguable).

You have way too much expertise and hit, as the person above me stated.

You could also use more crit, at least 33%.

this is far from a BiS, but a "right-off-the-bat" suggestion. Some fights will need higher avoidance, other higher HP, so some things change. The script linked the heroic version, but the normal versions of the items are good aswell:

I was always told stamina was an important lock stat and have always focused on SP/Int/Sta. Have I been doing it wrong?

Posted many times in many threads. Do you see stamina on that list? No? Then it contributes ZERO to your DPS output as a destro lock (which is the thread you are posting in)

Beware that the stat weights are depending alot on your gear level, I'd advise Avashnea to use the spreadsheet for more accurate stat weights for your own character or even better simulationcraft
