ArP and Str

I recently acquired a Mjolnir Runestone so i decided to actually drop a lot of my str gems and replace them with ArP gems to hit the softcap for Mjolnor, despite the fact that landsoul's spreadsheet told me i would loose DPS.

So now im at 569 ArP rating unbuffed, I believe, and with the Mjolnir proc i reach 100.19% in the character window.

Ofc I immediately ran some tests:

Solo with Sunder armor and Battleshout buffed on Heroic Target dummy I had a DPS increase of roughle 200.

In raids it was a little less significant, but I would say roughly 300 DPS depending on the encounter ofc.

I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this phenomena.

First off I want to say thank you to everyone here who puts forth alot of hard work in providing valueable information to the WoW gamers from casual to hardcore type. Your work has been exremely helpful to alot of us.

My question here is I have played several classes and currently am playing a Resto Druid that I would like to duel spec into a tank but here is my problem. I have never played a tank and really know very little about the stats to look for. I do know each class of tank is different in what they look for as far as dodge/parry % and what not. At least I think they do. What stats do I need to look for to build a solid base to build upon and can anyone recommend a build for Druid tanking.

I did look thru the different posts and just could not find it here. I am sure I am overlooking it. Any help is as always appreciated.

Thanks.

Thank you for the support. it is greatly appreciated. I didn't know that as long as you were tracking something from the list, the buff from Improved Tracking would still apply.

A possible reason that crit might be 'overvalued' would be my treatment of throughput and 'full duration' values as being equal, but given I've not yet had any mana problems that seemed fair. I could add a slider for that. What weightings do you get from your model, given similar start values as I'm using? Do you think there is any genuine error in the mechanics modeling? Or is it just the system I use to go from 'results' to 'stat weightings'? Seeing as all criticism has been of the weighting model can I assume the mechanics appear solid?
this board is simply the wrong place for this discussion ... it get´s very bloated by this sheet making it more and more complicated to discuss the pala-class itself.

Thank you. I figured there was an option like this, but still a bit of a newbie with rawr and couldnt find it.

Hello, I am new to the Forums. And I am trying to help my wife(who runs a Resto Shammy) with how to better heal. We are trying to figure out whats the best way to gem, enchants, and spec for her. So And I am running a lvl 80 pally tank/Dps with off off spec of heal. So I hope We will learn alot from you guys, But to be up front I have read some of the post here and I am totally lost on some of this. others I am starting to learn. So I hope That i can also add some to this forums.

My wife, love to heal, and As a tank its nice to have a healer right there next to you, not in just instant or questing, but in the same room so if things get alittle stick we can talk. But it like sometimes her healing lack. She still needs gear, but we want to improve what shes got so she can heal in heroic better. so if you could look at her armory and see what should be replaced enchant gems and spec wise. We are still working on getting her gear from heroics and embems.
Her toon is Lynthea on Thrall. Here is a link: The World of Warcraft Armory
Thank you.

Currently, this is true. JoL benefits (i.e. scales) from spell power and attack power. Previously, the spell power granted through the talent Art of War would not apply but has since been fixed. Ret paladins can easily average 900+ healing on JoL procs, while Holy paladins JoL averages around the 400-500 range.

After 3.2 goes live, JoL will no longer scale from spell power or attack power. Instead, it will heal based on 2% of the targets total health. This is more in line with the way JoWisdom currently works. While tanks will still be getting heals around 800-900, average procs for raid dps'ers will be in the 400-500 range. It will no longer matter who is judging light, the only time it will matter is when you have a prot paladin in the raid. In that case, you want to judge whatever he ISN'T judging as to not knock his Judgements of the Just debuff off the target.

PS: To fix a couple of things above, previously the SP from the talent Sheath of Light did not affect our Sacred Shields. It always affected our JoL.
I apologize if I got this mixed up. Should be able to keep this all straight, but I'll just blame it on our mechanics changing every patch. :P

You are not reading correctly. They each do identical amounts of damage. JoL also returns health, JoW also returns mana.

Until they change it in Patch 3.2, we usually recommend that Rets judge JoL because our version returns more health than other paladins'.

It's no difference in DPS. However the paladin with the highest Attack Power should Judge Light as a raidhealer.
