Hi there,

i'm new here and have not read the whole thread, not even more than the last page but i have some thoughts regarding the upcoming DW Changes.(Excuse my english since its not my first language)

Threat of Thassarian: New 3-point talent. When dual-wielding, your Death Strikes, Obliterates, Plague Strikes, Blood Strikes and Frost Strikes have a 30/60/100% chance to also deal damage with your off-hand weapon. Off-hand strikes are roughly one half the effect of the original strike.

Before i start i need to clarify the meaning of the new talent: Does it mean that the proc is 50% the offhand would have done or 50% of the used mainhand style?

1st Case, Slow Mh/Slow Oh, 2nd Case Slow Mh/Fast Oh.

Spec should be something like 2x/4x/0 regarding on the Tier Level of ToT.

Blood Strike: The bonus damage this ability receives from diseases on the target has been increased to 50% per disease.

I guess we can agree that Blood Strike will be the "Main Attack" of any viable Dw Build.

Rota should be something like It,Ps,Ob,Bs,Bs, Dump with Fs, Summon Ghoul, Bs,Bs,It,Ps,Dump (not really precise since i didn't calculate the renew time for the diseases but the direction should be right)

Each Attack in the Cycle triggers ToT except It.

Necessary Talents: Bloody Strikes(Speaks for itself), Threat of Tharassian(doh), Killing Machine(I'm not quite sure if its effective to dump the KM Proc when you reach 32 Rp for FS or just keep it till the RP Dump Phase), Frost Strike, Nerves of Cold Steel, Blood of the North(well, we can't get around 2 DR Convertion Talents)


Glyphs would be: Frost Strike, Obliterate, Blood Strike(Glyph applies on Snare Effects like Thunderclap even if the Boss isn't snared, is that right?)

I would gear for Style Hit Cap, Str, ArP and Expertise.


Unholy DW Builds are a huge dps loss regarding the revamped Blood Strike in combination with Bloody Strikes, i can't imagine the Unholy Blight Ignite with Glyph and Dark Death Glyph to equalize it but i might be wrong since i can't get myself to do all the math

However, i really need to see a 3.2 Talent Tree :/

Feedback pls just to let me know i don't totally suck at thinking up Dw Builds.

You'll want to be sure that nobody is judging the same as the Retri, for the same reason.

As for who judges Light, keep it simple and stay with the order you have in place. Light is still second to Wisdom if you only have one Paladin. If you have exactly two Paladins the second is judging Light no matter what his spec is, and if you have more than two there's no drawback to the Retri judging Light as it doesn't generate healing threat.

Vindication: Redesigned. Now lowers target attack power, is consistent and does not stack with Demoralizing Shout.

is that the new passive paladin demo shout ? (if it works on a boss ^^)

Yes, you can assume for 2 talent points it is the same effect as Demo shout. It is a great Prot Pally buff.

No, the 3% crit is an additional debuff, while the prot debuff is 'combined' with the judgement.

Need help with arms spec, gear and rotation/priority

I have too much hit and uh i recently rerolled from being a tank to dps . So now im getting geared for dps. So any suggestions. I really need to know a solid dps rotation/priority. I do about 4k dps but i should be doing more i think. Landsouls spreadsheet estimates me at 5k.

Morbidity or Revanous Dead

Hey guys right now I'm sittin with my 51/2/18 spec. But I can't decide wether to use Morbidity or Ravanous Dead. (spellcheck?) I like the extra 36 strength RD gives me but with the 51/2/18 spec, you use alot of DCs so I'm not sure which will give me the maximum dps that I want. Right now I'm leanin more towards RD because of the raw extra strength it gives you. Please help

Mechanically, HotC is tied with our Judgement debuff (unlike, say, Chilblains) and doesn't remain if our Judgement is cleared for whatever reason. So, it is like JotJ in that aspect, but JotJ doesn't produce an additional debuff for whatever reason.

According to the original post, SoC's PPM scales with haste. What is the exact mechanic behind this? Could a change in haste ratings in retribution paladin itemization perhaps make SoC viable? An increase in emphasis on critical strike % might change things as well, given that SoC can crit and SoB/SoM couldn't. All of this is assuming that SoC doesn't undergo radical changes.

What is this, Post Inaccurate Information Day? Guys, this info is right there in the first post of the thread, read it before posting please.

SoB/SoM certainly does crit.

SoB/SoM also scales with haste, and remains superior to SoC at all haste levels.

Of course, things are changing drastically in 3.2.

Regarding the new Vindication:
With 2 tp spent in this talent will it be like the improved Demoshout/roar or the untalented one?
My alt is a Protadin and I am happy if it just was the untalented one but if it's the talented that would be just amazing!
Does anyone have info about that?

I am dwarf hunter and atm using Siren's Cry (the bow from Auraya) should i replace it with the Giants Bane (the gun from Kolagarn) coz of gun specc or just stay with a bow coz of slower speed and more dmg with some shots?

Actually Giant's Bane is slower than Siren's Cry and should always be the better option, especially as a dwarf.
