Ok Thanks I'll test myself again this evening. Can anyone assist then in giving a definitive list of things that proc ED please. I verify that against my own testing.
Heh, I got back to do more testing on it, possibly to devote a half hour to it, but... My realm is down!! ;_:
I am really trying to put together a destruction spec that will allow me to do great in PvP, but still keep my damage up in PvE.
I have comed through the 44 pages, and besides my vision blurring, I just can't seem to find what I am looking for.
So 1 I would like a good spec
2) what talents are optional
I found it useful to bind my auto-run to my scroll-wheel click - you can toggle it on, jump turn/target and not stop moving.
When keybinding spells, I reccommend doing it slowly - don't replace all your 1-9 with q,e,s,f,g,t,v,c,z,x (plus ctr/shift) at once, you will fail horribly. Do it a few spells at a time, and pvp with them a bit to get used to using them on the run.
Does anyone know if having dual specs means you have to keybind 2ce?
My thoughts on runspeed to boots is not that it increases my dps by getting me from A to B faster but rather that it gets you out of w/e is at A faster. Dead dps is no dps and sometimes you just can't use aspect to move out of something. Maybe 10 more AGI is worth that risk but I personally use Cat's Swiftness because it is a risk that doesn't seem to outweigh the benefit of a chance at not dying..
Not to sound rude or anything, but what happened to your Dual-Talent Specialization?
While the build you linked is as close as you can get to having a multi-purpose build, I reckon the lack of Improved Imp and Improved Soul Leech will hurt you. Also, for PvP reasons it really hurts not including Improved Succubus, which (in my opinion anyways) is one of the talents classified as "Must-have" for Destruction PvP. You also lack Fel Summoning, another cooldown that often needs to be use to adapt to certain PvP situations. Personally I really get butthurt over not having Improved Soul Leech. I reckon the build you linked will be a good 10-15% behind a pure PvE build due to your Imp basically being harmless and you having to Life Tap alot more.
Another thing to consider is glyphs. I know for myself that I feel naked not having any PvP glyphs (and mind you, I -barely- PvP as it is) and/or having any PvE glyphs. Let's say 15-20% behind, at the very least.
In the end, I would just like to say that my main point is that you will be 90% (arguably less) at two things instead of 100% at one thing. Ask yourself if that is really what you want. If you were raiding with me I would never recommend ending up like that, but eventually, it is (of course) all up to you.
As for the "what talents are optional" I reckon you should check first post one more time. At least to me it provides me with the information you were looking for, ie. which talents that can be ignored/avoided and so on.
In the weapons swapping 51/18/2 spec, for yellow socket with +4 agility, is it better to gem with:
- 20 agility
- 10 agility & 10 crit
- 10 agility & 10 hast
and what's the gain of EP between a dagger 1.8 speed and a 1.4 dagger with same ilvl in MH?
If I use a scoring by EP, I have 725 for the first and 600 for the second, but I think the speed of OH is very important because of the talent Focused Attacks and for the OH poison.
Phoenixrisng, if the answer to that question isn't immediately apparent to anyone that sees it, they will never become a first-class mage.
As an arcane mage with 4 pc t9 what is the dps conversion for one point of haste in comparison to one point of spell power in terms of how much dps they would equal, obviously yes i know spell power is better i just cant seem to find the numbers for it.
Is the speed is really the most important, considering the talent Focused Attack, or it's better to take a lower speed dagger in OH if it had a better stats (better EP score for example) ?
The thing is, when you refresh your diseases with pestilence the damage doesn't change. So even if you refresh your diseases with 3000 AP less, it won't affect them. They keep on rolling on your buffed AP. With my crap gear i usually have over 2000 average damage per tick through the whole bossfight. (unholy spec)
I dont use Bleeding Hearts because it doesn't work. I use Powermeter to track my AP.
Im new tho the replying on this forum i like to read about it. Stats etc..
Im a feral drood not new to pvp but deffility not a 2k rating player. we did 3vs3 but its not what i wanna talk about it.
I recently started 2vs2 with a rl friend of mine a disc priest. And he started with the bleu set of pvp. And i wanna say that since we got that instant nature spell we kinda rock at pvp. Im full furious relentles geared but still the priest is way undergeared but we win. So i think feral droods are rocking in 2vs2
Hi guys, I'm currently playing a fury warrior, you can probably check out my armory...
But here are my questions: do you know any rotation or something for fury that might boost up your DPS?
Do I have anything wrong in gems/items for my class, and do I have to use Heroic Strke 24/7 while I'm dpsing in 25 mans?
Currently I was DPSing in Ulduar and TotC25 but I never managed to get anything different than 4000-5000 DPS using a WW/Bloodthrist on cooldown and heroic strike 24/7, Bloodsurge when proc and BL/WW are both on CD.
And after the nerf is it worth stacking ArP once again?
Thanks in advance!
Hey, I've been doing much reading of the discussion between agi / armp gemming for current MM builds. I've played both specs at top ends and i enjoy marks much more. The one thing I'm confused about however is when gemming for armor pen becomes expotentially greater than agility? The World of Warcraft Armory here is a link to my armory, I've been messing around with using the Runestone as well as a greatness deck there. One thing I know from marks to survival is i lost 11% crit on the dot basically(11.02%) and I feel my crit is currently too low to run the armor pen style. I am not good with the number crunching of hunters as I haven't been playing wow for along time(Played Lineage2 for 3 years) If anyone is willing to help me understand this a little better, or help me where you think you could I would greatly appreciate it, I guess my main concern is where do i want my crit / armp to be before removing the runestone as I see many hunters who used the runestone at 1k~ armp, now remove it for greatness / darkmatter once they get to about 1200. Thanks in advance!
Hello all ive been hearing alot of different things pertaining to is Arp or Str better to gem for warriors atm since the nerf to Arp and im just trying to find out which is better for a Warrior does it depend on ur gear the fight etc etc? Please shed some light on this subject if u dont mind.
I haven't seen anyone mention this, but it LOOKS like the ooc proc chance with predators swiftness is 58.33%. I haven't tested this, but my guess is: predators swiftness causes spells cast to be treated as if they have a 10 second cast time. At 3.5 ppm, the chance for a ooc proc is 10/60 * 3.5, or 58.33%.
I am not so good with macros, so i have one for Def stance, shield and ShieldWall and second for equiping offhand and berserker stance
But i'll try that posted 4-5 posts above
Seems to me like a pain in the ass, and it will probably end up kinda bugged or shitty. None of the changes, blizzard gave us rly were extraordinary, i will try not to jump in conclusions tho..
I've tried posting this on simple questions/simple answers only to get an off-the-wall answer w/ no explanation.
If pve hit is 14% base +1 for every level above 80
What is pvp hit for "special attacks and spells" against another 80 in pvp?
I know that melee is 5% or 163.95 hit rating for pure melee swings against an 80 (i'm hit capped for the 5%)
The problem here is I tested how hard I hit w/ SS on my resto druid friend and I missed 4 out of 5 special attacks while having a 164 hit rating aka 5% hit.
My question is what's a comfortable hit rating to shoot for in pvp against another 80 where we won't have to sacrifice too much but we'll never miss w/ spells and special strikes.
In simple questions/simple answers I got a response of "you need 4% spell hit" but didn't explain how he came up w/ that number when base hit against an 80 for a spell caster is 14%
