Hi, I know im a little slow but what's the minimum hit we should have now? I have lowered my hit rating all the way from 256 to 178 and gain a lot more dps according to Roguecraft BC 0.4.1.xls by Vulajin. Or am I doing something wrong.
Also, people here say that Xs/Yr/Ze does a bit more dps than Xs/Yr but my spreedsheet disagree with that.
Some information before hand, i dont have much LUA understanding so keep that in mind.
I have a question about this. Since Blizzard is banning automated scripts that make certain decisions for you, isnt this addon illegal? Because i checked it out and didnt have to do much thinking about rotations or even didnt have to watch threat.
Dont get me wrong, i love this addon. But i would just like to be sure.
If there was a single keybind or button that in association with S&A would cast shock, LL, SS or LB depending on what it thought was best, that would be illegal. However as I understand it it simply notifies you when you have a 5 stack, and monitors your other cooldowns. You are still required to 'decide' to press the appropriate key at the right time, so not illegal.
I guess a grey area would be if you had a series of /castsequence macros for the different cooldown orders, and S&A told you which macro to use for the next 3 casts or so, but even that would still be legal since it is not allowed to alter keybindings or similar while in combat.
I seem to have a few questions that looking through the previous pages I cant find a clear answer for, hopefully you guys can help out.
1. Is JoL stacking on raid bosses? WWS are showing that both myself and a holy paladin are getting procs of it in Sunwell last night and we also seem to get similar healed amounts. Is this normal? The tooltip would suggest that my JoL would heal for more but they are coming out the same. Bascially, threat issues aside, how are we best to make use or judgements with two holy paladins, 1 prot and 1 ret paladin in the raid?
2. Is there a generally agreed on "best ret cycle" out now? I have having all three abilities coming off CD at the same time but have generally been prioritizing Judgement over all other attacks due to its higher dps.
Thanks for any help, I am finding it harder and harder to find the information on ret paladins now with the size of this thread.

Hey,
I've looked for the most suitable place and this thread appears to be it. I'm hoping someone with US Beta forums access will post a suggestion for me as that appears to be the most active forum for blue feedback.
It might be a bit close to the expansion, but I'd like to suggest that the server-first boss kill achievements be changed to include faction specific server-firsts to try and accommodate those servers with extreme population imbalances. I can see this working best as an addition rather than a replacement to the existing achievement, so the first raid to get a kill will Get both the "Server First Dead Boss" achievement and also the "Their Faction Server First Dead Boss" achievement, leaving only the "Other Faction Server First Dead Boss" achievement available.
If anyone could help post that for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Call me insane but i have been thinking based off the numbers i see on my screen when i use my various spells and attacks (i have given up on a "solid" dps rotation as now with MW and the new SS cd being reduced to 8 seconds (7 in PVP gear), ive had to add some things to mods i use to tell me when i had full procs of MW. I try and benefit the group as much as i can, dps hard as i can, maybe throw a heal if needed.
The problem im seeing is that between maelstrom weapon, the new SS CD, throwing LB as often as i got MWx5 when applicable, and ES, my macro for attack/SS/LL is usuallly reset before i get to use LL. The other thing is ive never seen LL hit for as much as ES or LB and the GCD is a pain for me now as i never seem to have time to get enough things off as soon as i can. Is LL really worth the talent is what im asking? yes its only one point and there not much i could get with it, is it really worth the since most shamans will go deeper into elemental giving all their spells more damage when they crit, and LL will only in reality end up doing ~75% of weapon damage. Since a shamans OH does half the damage of its MH twin, non-crit with FT on the OH.
New question because i just thought of it, will 5/5 Elemental Fury count towards LL? I ask because its fire damage, but it is an attack. So i would think it would not, since it is an attack, not technically a spell.
I read this forum more than any other forum and sadly im more than mildly distressed atm not to be able to find all the answers i want (i have faith that yall will find them though). Theres just so many questions since the patch that finding the answer to one leads to another, to another and then the next answer brings the first answer into question. Its annoying, but i think the level of complexity is what keeps me loving my shaman
Has anyone had a chance to fully test aimed shot in a MM rotation with Chimera on test with the change to barrage? Is it worth using or is steady spam still the best option?
Or it may be useful for PvE without being DPS addative. If there are any mobs in raids immune to poisons and the glyph allows mutilate to treat all mobs as if they were poisoned it would certainly be a clear winner for most rogues over any of the alternatives after SnD and Rupture.
Take in the consideration blizzard is not kinda enough and that would be dare say a overpowered glyph.
You beat me to it... I have mixed feelings about all of these changes to remove any form of consumables from the game using the reasoning of it being too burdensome to raiding.
Here is the text of the blue post:
Sharpening Stones and also Wizard Oils have been discontinued. While they were something nice to use once in a while for most people for many raid guilds they were simply another burden to the cost of raiding. They also caused some issues in that they only helped certain classes and took away some of the uniqueness of other classes who were able to imbue their weapons with temporary enchants such as rogues and warlocks.
while the 2 points from UA could be in Impurity aswell if another DK in Raid got UA. Should i skill Virulence aswell?
I think alot of you guys tested alot of speccs, i heard frost does great DPS at the moment in Raid, so do you think this is a good build to run with?
Second thing is since i read alot about Rotations and stuff, which rotations would be the best one for that specc. If u compare it with the Equipp to start naxx with.
Or do you think this specc is not as good as specc "XY" and why :P.
So Strength is no longer the best stat to have correct? Guess it's time to change all my gems. Thanks a lot for the new information. You guys are the best.
Hey all just a quick question ... that may of been answered already but I hope not for my sake, I understand that there is alot of math going on at the moment for Mutilate builds in WotlK and Now/Live and I am finding it difficult to get info on Combat in your forums many pages . What I was wondering is if your still combat swords atm and specced as 5/51/5 for your raiding would you retain the same Xsnd , YRup ? Or adopt a new finisher in replace of an old ?
Atm I have been doing a Xsnd,YRup,YEnv (Only Envenoming if possible), question is am I doing something wrong or have I over Looked something entirly ? BTW I've been reading that since the patch it is better to gem for Agi instd of the regular +Hit is this true for ALL rogues or based off Mutilate ?
Thank you for your help
P.S. I am not too sure how long I have been using this site for Math/Mechanics either way it has been VERY long Keep it up xD
First time poster on the forum (not so long time reader :p)
Since 3.0, I appreciate the DW arms (using 2x1H Axes) and I'd like to keep this build when I reach 80.
As of today, it seems SD is going to be nerfed to a 9% chance on hit.
Considering this change + the fact that there are no good 1H axe available at 80 (at least not thru PVE content), I was thinking of an arms sword spec using 2 fast swords (1.6s) to maximise SD proc + Deep wounds. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
What do you think of this template vs TG Build / 2H Arms Build
I'm asking me which chest is doing better for Mutilate PvE DPS atm 51/5/5 specc.
Becasue you wont will switch all Items so fast till you get Naxx loot.
Yet another one of those "critique my hypothetical build" posts. :P
This Unholy 12/5/54 build is what I'm thinking of working on while levelling. I chose Toughness in Frost instead of Rage of Rivendare, in the hopes that it synergises with Bladed Armor more. I've got AMZ because this'll roughly be the build I use for raids when I'm asked to bring it along (of course I'll be going with Unholy 17/0/54 for better DPS as often as I can help it). Since it would be more of a utility build anyhow, think I could get away with not moving those Toughness points back to Rage of Rivendare for raiding?
I think I'll race down to Scourge Strike ignoring Magic Suppression as much as possible, then fill in all of the Blood talents. I'd finish up with all of my Unholy talents and use my last 5 on Toughness. What do you think?
I hate to be a crybaby but I really am sick of the nerfs, I wish they would just nerf us dead, or just stfu about it. Everyday EVERY single day all I see is "pallies will be getting nerfed".....Like we've been adjusted and nerfed and hotfixed like 50 times, about the same amount as druids and mace stun was for BC, oh wait.
But I digress, I just want to know what to play for wrath, right now i'm #1 or top 3 on all fights in sunwell, if i'm going from that to always 6-10 i'll just play my hunter, so if anyone has some insight or anything they want to share with how horrible or great ret will be once ALL of these fixes nerfs or w/e go live, fill me in
