is there a clear cut best spec for pvp (burst dps)?
i looked thru as many pages as my add brain would allow, sorry if i missed it

With the t8 2pc bonus would 0/10/61 spec be better then 7/10/59 or the normal unholy/blood spec?

With the new DRW change RPM becomes a useless talent IMO. The duration of DRW is fixed and only affected by the glyph, not the old formula where you could get an extra 3 seconds from 130 RP compared to 100.

If you are going for straight up burst, a frost spec would be best, an in depth discussion about playing frost in PvP can be find in the EJ PvP forums or amongst many threads on the Arenajunkies website.

Well stll some weeks ago I was tank in my guild because of this summer thing we merage with another guild and I decided to go dps (to dont have 5+ tanks in raid...) first thing I done was regeming everything to arm.pen. so now i have 448 armor penetration (still dont have grim toll or mjolnir runestone) the problem is that rawr is still suguesting me agi over armor penetration, so Im not sure or rawr dont have this kind of theory, or will start to suguest armor pen gems at 500-600 armor penetration. Here you writed that at 200-300 armor penetration, armor penetration become best gem. So question is, does rawr use that theory about ar.pen. ?

I have some trouble to choose the right equipment for max dps.
I started playing 2 months ago after 1 year of pause. First with two-hand (for pvp and pve); but since the patch of fury i tried doing some fury dps.

I think my equipment is quite good, but not BiS. As i played Arms, gemming ArP was the priority and as much ArP as possible. Then i got Grim toll and now i am not sure how to gem.

But first my equipment (will try to log out in fury specc): The World of Warcraft Armory

Here are the stats:
mainhand: worldcarver 232.5 dps (berserking)
offhand: rune edge 232.5 dps (berserking)
AP: 4360 (besri stance, without shout)
Crit: 32.90% (bersi)
Hit: 225
Arp: 666 (54.97%)
Expertise: 22 (manihand) / 25 (offhand)
Haste: 70

Now my questions:

1) Should i just gem all slots to strengh, cause of Grim toll?
2) Is the weapon combo of worldcarver+rune edge better than runde edge + ironsoul (offhand)
3) Would it be better to take "mirror of truth" and kick grim toll, and stay at about 55-60% arp (passice)
4) I also have gloves and legs T8 and could swap, so i could get the 4piece set bonus, but i think the loss of some important stats is too much? opinions?

5) should i change the legs with clockwerk legplates and so loose the 2piece set bonus of t7,5?


My Prob is atm, i am not quite sure how to change some pieces, so i stay at max dps possible. i am quit happy with my dps now, most fights 5k+, sometimes 6k+... but i always try to do my best with the gear i have or is available for me.
(My raid is doing 25 uldu and start hm's, we will do hodir hm next)... and in Uldu 10 we have most of the hm's down, council, general and yogg not *g*)

There is no reason to not use Rune Edge in your main hand. It shares the same speed and dps as with Worldcarver, only you'll see less dodges on your MH attacks.

Hi guys, I've been trying to workshop my dps as an enhancement shaman for the last 2 months, and I've been using this thread a lot. There are, however, a few things I've discovered on my own, that I don't see explained here (at least not clearly) that I wanted to share. That said, I feel I must disclaim myself by saying that if anyone finds flaw in what follows, by all means, correct me, the last thing I want to do is mislead people.

1st of all, my rotation:
at 5 stacks of MW - Chain Lightning. Yes, Lightning bolt scales better with spell damage, and I don't have the Exact number here, but my observations have been that prior to about 2300 spell damage, chain lightning still does more damage. Another note on this subject; For those of you looking for a macro that will cast both chain lightning, and then lightning bolt when CL is on cooldown - it doesn't exist. You can't make a macro that is contingent upon a spell being cooled down. The mechanics for it do not exist.
Next Stormstrike...
Next Earth Shock...
Next Lava Lash...

And finally, when those things are on cooldown, I'm either refreshing magma totem, or lightning shield.

Other data:

On the topic of spirit wolves and attack power:
buffs, and burning trinkets WILL effect your wolves damage, but it IS realtime. In other words, burning a 15 second trinket before summoning your wolves offers no real advantage, because as soon as the buff wears off, they will lose it too.

Well, that's all I have for now. Working on a few other things, but I won't post anything inconclusive. Hope this helps
