Those statements make no sense at all. You shouldn't ever be getting 6 Plasma Blasts and you shouldn't have so little HP that Steelbreaker brings you below 15% on each melee strike.

AMZ only absorbs 20k magic damage, it doesn't absorb 20k per person under it.

He probably should have been more clear; steelbreaker's melee swings will hit for more than 65% of your health (even at 50k buffed hp) if you are the most critical tank - tank #3 in the rotation. He hits me for about 35-40k per swing at this point. You probably shouldn't have a tank #4 or if you do it probably shouldn't be for more than about 20-30 seconds tops.

Also mimiron's plasma blast.. he said ticks, not individual blasts. Individual ticks of plasma blast hit for 15k per tick twice per second, which isn't enough to one-shot you, but WotN generally does get used up during plasma blast and doesn't really do a lot there.

When we first got Steelbreaker last he died with 2seconds left on tank #4 (me). I went back through the list of parses and found our kill. I was hit for a maximum of 48k from one of his melee strikes. I didn't even notice that hit when I was tanking him but yes I guess each of his melee strikes will trigger WotN.

Dragon's Eye cuts are no longer prismatic in 3.2. This is months-old news, which was announced before the rest of the 3.2 patch information, and is the case on the PTR.

cooldowns

I seem to have a problem with my ui i cant get an addon or i dont know how to work OmniCC to show me a number cooldown on my skills for example iv seen some of ur uis that show a descending number on a skill you have just used for example Chimera shot 6..5..4 am thinking does maybe Bartender4 have anything to do with it?

I'm just wondering if someone could simplify the pages of discussion on MM hunters and ArP for me - to make a long story short after looking through the forums and my guild needing a 10% ap bonus - I've recently specced MM -

Now from what I'm gathering - because i do not yet own Grim Toll or Mjolnir Runestone - that I should stick with agi gemming as untalented im slightly above hitcap - My passive ArP at the moment is 236 and is not from gems but strictly gear - im around 25 badges away from my 8.5 4pc and im hitting naxx weekly in hopes of a grim toll drop since we aren't doing 10man ulduar hard modes yet.

In brief I'm just trying to make the long story of these forums short - and find out if im correct in using the Non ArP build which has imp arcane shot until i get one of those trinkets - in which case i would gem for 550-700 ArP and likely spec out of imp arcane shot and into imp hunters mark - as hit is not an issue.

Anybody out there that can tell from my description if I'm under the wrong impression? Or do I seem to be going in the right direction for being my guilds 10% AP buff.

^edit^ feel free to armory my toon - and in thoughts of getting grim toll i have several pieces of gear i can switch out for less hit if needed

Using the hunter's spreadsheet and your current gear/spec/glyphs, I see the following DPS numbers:

- 6933 assuming "whack-a-mole" rotation with Arcane Shot higher priority than Aimed Shot
- 6987 assuming "whack-a-mole" rotation with Aimed Shot higher priority than Arcane Shot (due to the glyph)

With your buffed crit rate and current ArP value, I would say the you would already benefit from switching to the ArP rotation, moving the points in IAS to IHM, and switching in the Hawk glyph for the Aimed glyph. Doing so in the spreadsheet shows the following DPS numbers:

- 7090 when not using Arcane Shot (CS->AiS->SSx4)
- 7089 when using Arcane Shot (CS->AiS->AS->SSx3)

So currently, you can switch to the much simpler and more consistent ArP rotation and increase your DPS. You can either use or not use Arcane Shot in your rotation and get about the same DPS. However, as your ArP and crit rate increase, the non-AS rotation will pull farther ahead.

Oh, I just realized that these numbers were with my pet build and not yours. Using Shark Attack instead of Wild Hunt is a loss of 5 DPS for you, which is not that big of a deal.

One final thing, if you have the Mirror of Truth, I would suggest replacing the FotFF with it since it is about 30 DPS better for you per the spreadsheet. The passive crit rating is a nice boost.

Dont mean to go off on a tangent...

Hi, first time poster here. I really enjoy all the work everyone has put into these sites, and i have benefited greatly from it. However, i would like to ask just a couple questions.

1. Stated above, at around 6300 AP buffed, i should start gemming to ArP. I only have about 5727 Raid buffed (Ideally)
However, with Abominations Might (10% AP increase) I am above 6300. I took this as a notion to start gemming ArP, since it directly affects my stat sheet. Was i correct to start regemming to ArP?


2. My current stats i have found to be decent but i would like to know if there is anything that is a little off or if i should work on, possibly switching gems out, would be really great =)

Regarding haste and OoC procs:
Since haste only affects the speed of your auto attacks and only a portion of OoC procs come from white attacks, I still think that haste should be below hit/expertise in desirability.

OoC ONLY procs from white attacks.

There are clearcasts coming from 2p T8, yes. But OoC proc rate is only determined by haste.

Question: at what point should you drop to lower level gear to stack ArP? Or rather at what point should you take an upgrade and drop ArP in the process? Is the T8 4pc worth dropping ArP to maintain? Thanks in advance.

It depends on the amounts of ArP you're talking about. The spreadsheet can answer that question very accurately though.
