I have the 25-men Grid layout in the center of the screen thinking in holy spec, however I´m tanking right now, I hope for a long time. Perhaps I will change this layout whith the 3.0 patch. Also ,there are some addons only for raid control, like rabuffs or raidcooldowns, not really necessary for the interface, but very useful to me
At first, please excuse my english, this is not my primary language. So even if do my best I may do some mistakes.
As many of you, I don't understand what the devs want us to be. WG can't compete with the other AoE heals, our main tool to mitigate tanks' damages (LB) has been nerfed, we still have no real reason to use rejuv a lot (I don't know about you, but at first when I saw replenish added in our talents I was really happy... now I even wonder if I will take it or not : / ), nourish is not really needed the way it currently is (I don't think it's a "bad heal", it's just that I don't feel the need for it). We still have regrowth and I admit it's a very good heal, but I absolutely don't want to become a regrowth spammer...
I really don't understand why it seems that the devs don't want us to have fun in LK. It's not that hard to find skills and talents to help us enjoy the game more. Even trash mobs in SSC have funnier abilities than us... remember the giants in SSC, sometimes when they die they create blue mushrooms which help to regenerate health and mana. Why don't they add this kind of things in our talents when we die, it suits the tree and the fact that we could spread spore.
I'm also thinking of a way to make nourish more attractive, why don't make it act like a kind of swiftmend: you cast it on a target that has rejuv on it, it consumes the HoT but instantly heals up to 5 raid members in a 15 yards range for the amount of 1 tic of rejuv. It could be with a CD or not, I don’t really know.
I don't say this is what I want (I'd rather prefer some other suggestions made by other tbh), but my point is: if you want to add something which makes us enjoy the game more it's not that difficult. Here and on the official forum there have been many very good ideas given by players... and when I see that I'm going to completely ignore the bottom of the resto tree to spend more points in the balance one, it makes me a very sad bonsai
My biggest concern is not to have a raid slot because I'm sure that before I'll start Naxx on live something will be done to make my raid leader group me. I'm juste afraid to play like a bot... please give us all our heals back by making them worth the cast.
My idea for a warrior CC has been to change mocking blow to work in both battle and berserk and change the functionality of it to force the affected mob to attack you for maybe 30 seconds, and reduce its damage by 75 percent. This serves the double functionality of crowd control and gives you a little extra rage gain while the mob is beating on you. You can balance this ability by making it work only in a group or giving it a base duration of 5 second and increasing the time by 5 seconds per party member. This would be a unique method of crowd control and it is something warrior could really use.
What i do, is that i keep whirvelwind and bloodthirst on cooldown all the time, but don't use WW if its CC around you. If you see that you have 30 or more rage when both of those are on cooldown, i would time a HStrike to have around 60 rage when both are off CD. With your gear it shouldnt be a problem doing high dps.
Hello everyone, i have some questions concerning 3.0.2 and what build will be the best on 70 lvl. My guild is almost got Illidan and we hope to kill him before WoTLK comes, so it would be good to read some tips about. Is there any need in taking 51 talent on 70 lvl comparable to old pve specs like combat swords (20/41/0) or combat mutilate (41/20/0)?
Is there a guide to gearing a feral for WotLK raiding? Both tank and dps perspectives.
I searched for one but I couldn't find it.
I'm just about to ding 70 on my feral and I'm rather clueless on gearing, I figure I won't bother trying to figure out ideal TBC gearing since things are changing come Wrath (bonus armor, strength on leather, etc).
Thanks for helping a long time plate wearer get comfortable in leather.
I think the main reason is that in TBC we've been a lot better tanks than dps. Except for a few gimmick fights, we can tank anything a paladin and/or warrior can. DPS wise we've been strongly lacking, basically being beat by everyone at end tier (spriests and prot warriors might occasionally end up below us).
Personally I enjoy tanking by far the most though, whick is why I'm playing a feral druid (for various reasons I don't really enjoy playing a prot warrior or prot paladin much). I feel kinda sad to be saying it, but honestly if dps or pvp was my focus, I would not be playing a feral druid, but most likely a rogue.l
Well that was my point. I dont think im the only one who offtanked ssc/tk/mh/bt and dpsed the bosses where you werent needed as a tank and i really enjoyed that variety. I for once am alot more interesting in seeing how our dps turns out in wotlk than our tanking mostly because of sunwell. Might just be me tho.
Regarding pvp, ive got a rogue aswell and i had a blast the first week, with clos, sap, cripling etc. But after a while i found myself thinking stuff like "hmm travelform would be awesome right now" or "if i just could throw a couple of lifebloom". I guess its not as easy as one think to change from our beloved class.
Sadly i never got a betaaccount so im stuck at ptr trying our new stuff out. Berserk is awesome for bear with no cd on mangle, and maul hurts alot. Without glyphs i find it impossible to use any other rotation for cat than the usual shred to 5 cp rip, mangle repeat. Even with tigers fury i cant use ferobite without loosing rip making shred hit for alot less. Il try to find a trauma-warrior to play with and see how that goes. Think my best result with enh-shaman and warrior was 1800 dps and that feels pretty descent considering no other buffs
