Just thought I would toss my 2 cents in with a couple of relatively short dummy tests. I used a 2/51/18 spec for two tests with awareness and vh sigil. Each test didn't include use of ghoul or army, but did use ERW. The rotations are fairly easy to keep going as FF > BP > OB > BS > FS and dumping a rime proc whenever it comes up. The two screenshots are provided below and the dummy was above the merciless combat HP range the whole time (IE: I didn't benefit from the talent at all) the only other debuffs being applied to the dummy was a moonkin so, +13% magic dmg and +3% hit to spells. The awareness sigil seemed to come out slightly lower than VH sigil but both are very close to each other.
In regards to 2h vs dual wield, I seemed to do much better damage to the dummy as dual wield but I am unsure about scaling issues (the moonkin again was the other person attacking the dummy at the time). At the very least dual wield spec seems to be perfectly viable as a legit damage spec come next patch... barring any major changes. The weapons I was using were 2x Serilas, Blood Blade of Invar One-Arm with FC on the main hand and RI on the offhand. I was using 4pc tier 8.5. My other stats are seen in the screenshots.

Yes I am aware dummy dps != raid dps, but given the ptr environment its the best real world tests I can do really. Maybe I can grab a few friends and wail on the patchwerk if they ever implement him =/ One of my questions though is why necrosis only proc'd on about 86% of my melee swings.... like I said the dummy had plenty of health for it to hit for the full amount every time....
