You could at least check "Marksman Question" thread...Last post there has answer for that or frist post...or use search option.

"Armor penetration
Armor pen has been shown to generate some enormous numbers on the spreadsheet. This is because it scales exponentially, and the DPS per itemization point will go up as you get more. If you are trying to build an armor penetration setup, you will need an armor penetration trinket such as the mjolnir runestone or the grim toll. Your passive armor pen (without the proc) should not exceed 566 if you have the runestone or 619 if you have the grim toll. Any more than that, and your trinket procs will raise you past the hard armor penetration cap. This setup will change your spec and rotation. Your spec should reflect the fact that you no longer cast arcane shot while standing still.

Be aware that while building an armor penetration setup will have a higher maximum DPS in ideal (Patchwerk type) circumstances, armor penetration only increases auto-shot, steady shot, aimed shot, and kill shot damage. Having to move will cost you auto-shot and steady shot damage, which is a large portion of your DPS. One tactic that can mitigate some of this is to stutter your run when you have to move, letting go of the run key for just long enough that an auto-shot goes off."

Think they should redesign the class to preform the way a paladin should, not contradict it self. Actually shouldn't Paladins (from previous history background stand point) be considered a "hero class" ... >.> more Heros than DKs

[Horde][Ner’zhul] <Spike Flail> 0 light - Alg Down - Priest - Hunter - Ret

Hi everyone. Spike Flail on Ner'zhul(PVP) is looking for a few more dedicated raiders to join us as we push on in our WoLK Progression. We have players from all timezones but raid primarily EST/CST time, with raids of Sun-Wends from 6:30 PM EST - 11 PM EST. Pre 3.0, we completed our Heroic Glory of the Raider achievement; in 3.1 we've cleared Ulduar and completed all 9 Hard modes & have killed Algalon.

Algalon Down - # 38 US
Alone in the Darkness - # 20 US

Additionally, our 10 man group has completed the Glory of the Raider Achievement prenefs, clocking in 12th to do so in the United States, and have killed Algalon (Observed) in the 10 man difficulty.

WoW Guild Spike Flail :: WoWProgress - World of Warcraft Rankings and History

Spike Flail of Ner'zhul - GuildOx - WoW Guild Progress and Achievement Rankings

About Spike Flail:

The core of our guild came from the MMO Final Fantasy XI, where we were members of the guild Kupo, which was the top guild on our realm Pandemonium. A few of us had WoW experience in Vanilla, and when TBC came out we returned to the game, this time with many of our guildmates who were growing tired of FFXI's repetition. We started the guild from Kara up and slowly grew into a top guild on the server, finishing TBC as the 2nd progressed guild Horde side. Bringing with us our atmosphere from FFXI, coupled with the attitudes of the players who joined us over the years of TBC raiding, we've created a warm, fun and professional environment in which to pursue our endgame goals.

We currently raid from Sunday-Wednesday, from 7 PM EST - 11 PM EST, with raid invites starting at 6:30 PM EST. Our schedule tries to leave weekends open for our members to enjoy their social lives. We generally take 2 nights for Farm content, and 2 nights for Progression; so if you can't make the majority of these raids for whatever reason, its probably not the best idea to apply to us.

We take raiding serious, but we also know this is a game and meant to be enjoyed. While I know that sounds clich? and overused, I'm honestly proud to say that we're not the type of guild that takes raiding so seriously that we have run completely in the authoritarian manner and forget why we're playing. Our main goal is to maintain a professional environment in which we can play this game and progress, and we try to take that mentality into how we conduct ourselves when it comes to raiding and our reputation on our server. We've worked hard to create a professional and respectful atmosphere; and if you ask around on our server, I guarantee you'd be hard pressed to find a large number of people who've ever heard bad things about Spike Flail.

We currently run a silent bid DKP system, which myself or another Officer can give details on if necessary on request.

What we're looking for:

Our general requirements are as follows:
  1. At least the majority of 219 ilevel items in your gear. While gear is easy to obtain, you should have at least 10 man Ulduar level of gear to be competitive with our current progression.
  2. Ability to make at least 90% of our raids.
  3. PVE spec'd and geared.
  4. Dedicated raiding mindset. We require consumable usage on any Progression or Non-Farming Boss attempt. You must have the playtime and means to be able to keep up with the consumable curve needed for weekly raiding. You must come over prepared to every raid

MOST IMPORTANTLY: We're looking for intelligent human beings, and you should be able to convey your intelligence in how you present yourself. This includes knowing game mechanics, having quick reaction time, and being able to learn from your mistakes. You should be able to explain your classes weakness and strengths, know the theorycraft to min/max your class, and what abilities to use when. You must be able to learn quickly from your mistakes and adapt to new situations, as well as have a strong sense of situational awareness and the ability to multi-task effectively. You also must be able to express yourself in a way that shows you're an intelligent human being; this includes proper grammar and sentence structure. If you can't express yourself in a form that shows you have an education higher than a grade schooler, you probably aren't the type of person we're looking for. No "b4, u, r, sum1," every time you speak please.

You can find a much longer post regarding all our expectations and requirements for our applicants at Spike Flail - View topic - Overview, Expectations, and Requirements. *APPS READ ME* I STRONGLY encourage any potential applicant to read over that thread thoroughly before making a decision regarding their application.

We are currently accepting applications from dedicated and skilled raids of ANY CLASS. However, because our recruitment is very general atm, we are being extremely strict with our criterion. Prospective Trials must be completely knowledgeable of their class's theorycraft and mechanics, dedicated and dependable raiders, and overall knowledgeable and skilled players. That all being said, we do have some classes that we need more than others, as follows:

HIGH PRIORITY:
  1. Feral Druid (Tank and DPS Geared/Experienced)
  2. Marksmanship Hunter
  3. Retribution/Holy Paladin (Geared/Experienced in both)

MID PRIORITY:
  1. Holy/Disc Priest
  2. Warlock

LOW PRIORITY
  1. Enh Shaman
  2. Resto Druid
  3. Rogue
  4. Mage
  5. Shadow Priest
  6. Prot Paladin
  7. Moonkin
  8. Prot Warrior
  9. Restoration Shaman
  10. Fury/Arms Warrior

How to contact us:

If you're interested in applying, you can visit our forums at Welcome to Spike Flail! and put an application in on the appropriate forum. Please be sure to read all the stickies before applying, if you can't be bothered to read the stickies and follow application directions you probably will not be considered for a trial. You also can roll a level 1 on Ner'zhul and chat with myself or any other Spike Flail officer.

Please be sure to read over all the information we've presented on our forum before making a decision to apply. If you think you meet our requirements and agree with our philosophy towards raiding, feel free to pursue it. However please don't belittle yourself by simply glancing over our information and tossing an application with no effort behind it. The application process is partly an attempt to weed out those who can't read stickies or form a proper sentence, so please remember that an application is your first impression, so try to make it as well crafted as possible.

If you wish to apply to us privately, please PM your application in the correct format to any Officer on the forum (Ushas, Melbufrahma, Zepp and Facts,).

Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon!

You talk about increasing your DPS from 4.5k to 5.9k if you were able to do everything perfectly (which obviously is not possible). I consider a 1.4k increase extremely significant.

Interesting thread on GCD; however, the haste rating given is for level 70. At 80 it takes 32.79 haste to equal 1%, thus 1639.5 (rounded to 1640) haste to equal 50% at level 80.

To add to this, certain talents will increase spell haste, and certain buffs will to. At 80, these buffs (when talented) will include Air of Wrath Totem (5%), Retribution Aura (3%), and Moonkin Aura (3%). All haste is multiplicative, so if you have 10% haste and no talents to increase it, along with ever buff mentioned earlier, your haste would become 0.90 * 0.95 * 0.97 * 0.97 = 0.8044695 or 20% haste.

How come in pvp everyone uses mooncloth instead of silk? As disc it should be better to use silk both regen wise and in order to be more able to counter bursts thanks to some crit. Have I missed something?
If you can't regen your mana, your stuck with the limited mana pool you start off with. Ooming as any caster in PvP makes you as good as dead.

Anyone else consider it bogus that you will be able to get EoC from any heroic...if you do the daily heroic/reg, that's 3 EoT you'll be able to get on a daily basis. It seems to me as if Blizz is discouraging people from having to work for their gear.

Everyone is mining saronite so they can smelt it on patch day. The only problem is when those epic gems start coming up, very few will be able to cut them for a while. I'm willing to bet uncut gems will go for a decent price, but if you're able to cut those gems...

The stat weighting especially really helped me out. However, does anyone know a good stat weighting for holy priests? The only place I can find is at BobTurkey's and I feel he values longevity way to much and doesn't put enough emphasis on throughput (i.e. mp5 = 1.00 and sp = 0.60).

According to wowwiki this is .005575. Mathan, could your druid's gear have had any mp5 gear on it? It's calculated separately from spirit-based regen.

2- The 'newer' revision.

I don't recall if that was said on a blue post specifically, but I do remember (and personally observed too) that now spell pushback protection talents don't work in a binary fashion as explained per their description, but rather remove, for example, 70% of the time the pushback would have been. I think this couples with the previous patch, so with 70% pushback protection the first and second pushback will be 0.15s, after that, for that spell, you remain immune to pushbacks. I haven't confirmed the pushback time personally, but did not on several occasion the bar was barely moving back. I should retry with quartz.
That's correct.
