I've just moved all the Cataclysm discussion you folks had going on to the Blizzcon thread, until a beta with publicly available information has started please keep the discussion in there. There currently isn't enough class specific announced to warrant class specific discussion for the expansion. Thanks!
I am totally and completely baffled at how this can be considered productive or useful moderating. Embarrassing, seriously.
<Vontre> I removed the cooldown on evo
<sancus> and what happened?
<Vontre> DPS went down rofl
So, I think the problem we're going to find here is that going 3/3 Master Poisoner simply won't be worthwhile, as with, say, 2 points, we'll already have a 66% chance to not clear stacks and a 85% reapplication rate, which will result in very nearly full uptime - hence, taking a point or two in TtT (or whatever) will prove to be an appealing alternative over the third point, which will be of at most marginal benefit. This is somewhat true already, and I suspect it's only going to become more true with this change. And thus, nothing changes at all, as if we're only speccing 1 or 2 points into Master Poisoner, it makes no difference in needing to time our Envenoms, and makes little to no DPS difference as well. Which means that I'm not sure that this change really makes any difference at all from a practical perspective, save for enabling a "lazy rogue" spec/cycle - which is inferior by a relatively small amount and somewhat easier, thus enabling competitive if not optimal DPS for those who are not interested in doing what's actually optimal.
And what about specing 3/3 in master Poisoner now giving you the possibility to hold a slow OH ? Would the loss in energy regen be neglected by the increased mutilate damage ?
Could this change make it worthwhile using a slow dagger in OH for higher Mutilate damage?
I suppose this depends on whether Focused Attacks alone "pays" for using a fast dagger in your OH? ..or if the faster deadly poison application is part of the equation currently making a fast OH dagger prefered over a slow one?
I'm sorry in advance if its stated clearly somewhere that a fast OH dagger is prefered solely because of the extra energy gained from more crits
we got 3 more HM left for the glorie of the ulduar raider achievement and i would like some advice on the amount of healers needed per fight. Our healing setup is currently:
- disc priest (me)
- holy priest
- resto shaman (its his offspec, normaly elemental)
we got mimiron, general and yog HM left and i was wondering how many healers all fights need.. both me and the holy priest are ulduar25 geared..
on mimiron we used 3 healers
on general we used 2 healers (where disc shields+glyph helped alot) but only had 3 tries so far and got to 30% then the healer mana problems arrived (still need INT trinkets!)
yog havent tried him HM yet only normal..
what i was wondering now was more like should we try mimiron with the shaman in elemental and let him trow some offheals if needed.. his dps is around 4-5k so would help alot to get faster to the fases..
In this link i used every buff which can be used on a player. I might have forgotten a third glyph but you can use either glyph of eviscerate or rupture, depending on your talents ofc. Also you can reach 26/26 expertise (in this link mine is 23/26) when using the emblem ranged weapon.
Plz let me know what you think of this as I'm currently having problems implementing it in a spreadsheet,
Thanks alot in advance and also a very big thank you to Aldriana for all the hard work!
My Warrior dinged level 80 last week. I'm in a guild that, due to summer issues, only does 10 man Ulduar hardmodes and ToC10. 25 mans should be picked up again in september. We farmed the hell out of heroics and ToC normal. Currently I'm epic with badge/heroic gear except for a ring and 2 trinkets.
In the heroics I'm pushing 2.4K to 2.8K DPS. I'm just buffed with BoM and BoK. However, how hard I try to focus and push myself more and more. I just will not raise my DPS. It frustrates me as I want to improve further.
There's a few things I'm thinking about and would like your opinion on this.
1. The spec just doesn't allow any further DPS in heroics due to mobs mostly dieing before I get my procs off
2. My gear is basicly maxed out for what I'm doing at the moment and what is obtainable for upgrades
Or should I just be satisfied with my DPS considering my gear and dungeon content?
1. I am struggling with running Adriana spreadsheet on my mac — in both openoffice and iwork09. Some options simply doesnt work, well, most of them or so it feels. Is there any other options except for .xls spreadsheets, some online spreadsheets maybe?
2. I read in Rogue FAQ that mace+dagger come slightly ahead in bis t9 gear but swords and axes are still a strong options. Does it mean that generally swords > maces on bis t7.5 level of gear or mace+dagger are still good to go?
If it's not on the sheet, it's probably because [Broach of the Wailing Night] is better, and Emblems of Conquest are ridiculously easy to acquire now, so there's really no reason not to have it if you don't already. Same reason trinkets weaker than the Mirror of Truth were not on the old one. /shrug
Im having the same problems with my shoulders and wrists. I have Spaulders of Egotism due to the fact that we don´t do 25man at the moment and no better shoulders have dropped for me.
I would still like to use the spreadsheet. Is there someway to manually type in Spaulders of Egotism?
Or is spreadsheets only ment for when I get BiS gear?

For those who haven't discovered yet for oRa2 MT assigning, there is settings under keybinding's to do this. thus making it 100% easier for those stupid letter names, click the tank, hit the button u assigned to set MT and oRa2 will assign
