What would be better dps to pop during a heroism potion of speed or potion of wild magic?

Ok, my fault. Took my information from wowwiki.com, and there are two different numbers for resilience. -.-

I must have been reading too long.

Thrawn, read the threads in these forums, you have asked in two different threads a question that has been answered multiple times, the most recent of which was yesterday, so it should not be to hard to find.

Thanks...I actually had the new version and just didnt notice the faction thing taken care of. Also I never really use the right hand window in the application so I never noticed the filter so thank you very much for that.

Is the t8 two piece bonus valuable enough to MM that it would be wise to keep it even if it means ignoring certain upgrades as far as the items themselves are concerned?

LITERALLY on the very page you post this on, the answer lies.

While this is not completely true for you, the do not beg for handholding likely applies here. Just by checking newer posts, I was able to find the answer you are looking for, as well as the reason that I am making you look for it. this question has been asked on 4 threads in the last two days, on one thread, it is asked 2x on the same page. At what point does it become more viable to run a Fury build over an Arms spec? At the moment, I'm wielding two edge of ruin, sitting at about 25 expertise, 190 hit and 57% (51% in Arms) ArP. Would I be better off running an Arms spec until I can get my hands on 2 232 weapons or with the gear I currently have am I better just running Fury? Regardless, I want to end up going fury mainspec, but I'm trying to get as much dps as I can in the gear im in (I might be in PVP gear at the moment).

Also, when it comes time to replace a trinket with the upcoming nerf to ArP, would I be better off replacing Mirror of Truth or Jouster's Fury?

In much agreeance with this comment, i swapped to playing full time fury awhile back, and once we got to this fight, i finally hand a chance to shine. We dropped 10man HM Anub with a melee heavy group, giving about 90% of the beneficial buffs, ended the fight with 8.2k dps, next closest was a ret pala at 6.1k and a feral druid close behind with 6.1k. But full fury with imp cleave and glyphed rocks that fight to no end, heroic strike for me, is only used when adds are just being to be glued to the tank, after that its cleaves away.

While your question is pretty vague as far as "certain upgrades", it would be helpful to know exactly WHAT you're replacing your T8 items with to break the bonus. For me, breaking the 2p bonus of Helm/Chest with the T9 helm was a dps upgrade (since I have the T9 pants for the 2p bonus).

The real answer you are searching is also pretty vague. The "value" is dependent on other variables that require to know what your other gear is. The best way to figure it out is, of course, to use the spreadsheet.

A.S.S. - Another Shaman Spreadsheet - Gear and Hit Calculator

First off, apologies because this is my first post and I can not create another thread as I had hoped. If this should be moved, please feel free to do so.

Referenced for your pleasure (via Filefront hosting), is yet another Shaman spreadsheet, but this one with a different flavor that others I have seen.

Why did I do this?
Originally, this spreadsheet consisted of only tab 2, “Gear Upgrades.” In my guild, after a piece of loot is linked, I have 5 seconds to decide whether I should roll or not – no exceptions. Therefore, I needed a quick and easy way to know whether or not I wanted something or not. Additionally, I don’t like rolling on gear others could use which are not, or only a minor, upgrade for me. This spreadsheet helped me make those decisions immediately. However, I was having a difficult time balancing my gear with having different slots with both hit and non-hit pieces. I added the other two tabs with an eye towards allowing me to identify which are the “cheapest hit” items I have available. Keep in mind that I do not have easy access to the top notch gear because our raiding progress is on and off.

How do you use this?
a) You can use this, as I do, to filter and sort on “Gear Upgrades” and identify which gear in which raids (from which bosses) are upgrades, so that you have a gear list for each raid.
b) After “Gear Upgrades” is updated with your own gear, you can use the next two tabs (“Item Comparison” & “Recommended Gear”) to evaluate the value of hit on your gear – and decide which items YOU should use to get to the hit cap.

DISCLAIMER: I am sure RAWR or other spreadsheets do this much more elegantly. This is a “beta” version with some known gaps – e.g. I have not coded any logic for trinkets yet – this is a huge gap (but selfishly, Dying Curse, Living Flame, etc. have all eluded me so I have not even bothered – yet.). I am not an Excel wiz, so there are likely many better methods to perform the logic I used – but, I did what I knew how. I have done very little testing on this, so some calcs may still be off and some values may produce boundary errors, etc. Lastly, updating the Gear tab is a very manual (and time-consuming) process, but I do not know a better way of doing this auto-magically.

I am going to pause on development, and see if people find this a useful addition to the other Shaman tools already available. If some people respond and do find this a tool worthy of continuing, I will continue adding features and functionality. I would be eager to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
