My former post was removed and when i had sent it i was wanting to remove it myself. I've came to the conclusion from sovereign councils of my roomates that the gear and how you gem it is pennies on the dollar compared to the intel and practice of bosses. At times you feel depressed at the way you perform and start pointing fingers to ideals and parties not associated to the actual cause. YOURSELF!
I'm pushing 7k on normal bosses that don't buff raid on timers or have increased damage taken debuff timers. The other night my dps fell hard and instead of looking at the IRL factors that include: over exertion at work, mental awareness, sub conscience problems, Bio conflicts(like low activity or impairment of transductors that the senses work on); I changed my spec 3 times and gear thinking maybe i gemmed too much ARpen (634 + mjol) or maybe i have too much hit(407+ 4 points in precision) or expertise(24).
Then I remembered what got me there in the first place... stealing gear ideas and talent tree specs from higher ups! Jk, that doesn't work when your progressive and chances are you are the Higher Power. Sometimes psychological factors play a greater part then numbers. I can't apply the raw numbers that the game plays on, but i can offer psychological solutions like not getting hung up on something. Nine times out a ten you just need to put it down, walk away and sleep on it.
I have my own unique spec and the challenge of mixing gear to the highest yield. Most likely the main factor why i still play. I gamed a SP for 3 years and just started gaming Rogue progessively had some common problems at first like staying max range in the hit box, or knowing what boss fights i can take short cuts on to max my dps. I look at the spreadsheets but can't interact with them yet because windows won't allow me to unless i pay them money which is hard to come by when your a student.

Has anyone given any thought to the Tankard O' Terror that is dropping from Coren Direbrew? I know its not anywhere near BiS gear, but some of us can't do hard modes with our guilds.

I apologize if this has been answered already but with the ArP nerf are rogues in t8.5 /up going to go back to agility/set bonus gemming for max dps? When I read "going back to BC gemming" thats what I am thinking it means.

is there a better DPS output between spaming cast or timing cast with Quartz/Globalcooldown ?



I remember when Quartz was making a huge difference compare to just spamming button, but last nigth out of boredom I just spam my spell key and have the feeling i migth have do more dps but that also migth only the beer

Will test it when server are up again but anyone have an output on this?

3.2.2 is live, Armor Pen nerf, blah, blah, blah. Time to base this on the updated spread sheet.

Has anyone got some math on what mutilate spec you should run with from 3.2.2?

Currently running 51/13/7 with 3 points in Turn the Tables.
Will it be better to put those 3 points in master poisoner, or take 3 points from CQC and put em into TTT?
Considdering TTT basicly equals 6% crit on mutilate only while CQC gives 3% crit on all attacks including finishing moves (also gives more energy regen via focused attacks)

Any thoughts?

The best bet is to download the latest mutilate spreadsheet, I believe Aldriana just posted an update today, or possibly late last night.

Thanks for the concise explanation Rugz, I wasn't aware those 2 buffs stacked multiplicatively. Glad to see there will be a little more thought needed regarding socket bonuses once geared in 2xT9.
