Okay Im new to these forums and im sure somewhere there is a post about this topic but to be honest, I suck with forum hunting. Me and my Lt. in my guild have been looking at some of the higher end rogues out there and they all seem to be stacking ArP and we compared our gear to theirs and found we arent -that- far behind. So we thought that if we switched out our Agi gems for ArP we might just find ourselves pulling 7-8k DPS as opposed to their 10k. Well we found ourselves greatly mistaken and saw that our DPS remained about the same if not dropping slightly. Now my question is, since we were only attacking a target Dummy self buffed, does stacking ArP require raid buffs to pull the big numbers, or does it require a baseline agility or something to that effect.

For any dps number to matter, it does require full buffs. Otherwise, check a spreadsheet to see if you're at a point ArP is better than Agility.

From the "WotLK - Complete Mage Compendium (3.2.2 Combustion Update)" thread front page:

* AB4MBAM (AB spam, use MBAM on 4 stacks only) is the new standard cycle, it seems sustainable.
* AB Spam is the burn cycle, but rarely worth using. A 2% DPS increase at a 300% Mana Cost increase.
The only time I'd *personally* break from that is if I somehow haven't procced MBAM after 5-7 consecutive ABs and I'm running low on mana. I'd save PoM+AB for that in order to use the GCD to see if I finally get a proc. If not, ABarr and start over.

But the official rotation is AB4MBAM.

Well, we aren't good enough to even consider yogg+0, and we got our yogg+1 on 10-man for rusted. Are we the only guild that actually doesn't use FoK on faction champs? We go with single target dps with designated kickers on off-target heals, so that people can free-reign their CC on melee and what not.

When 3.1 was coming out I saw a mention that Bandit's Insignia was buffed, yet later on I heard an opinion that it's worse than mirror of truth. I still don't have a good second trinket (still trying to get runestone with my casual schedule) so I have to choose between the two - and I can't really trust the spreadsheet on that since I doubt it properly averages out buff stacking (e.g. mirror proc during bloodlust).
I guess banner of victory wouldn't be a very good choice, considering I run mostly SV?

On a side note, as far as I can see the only good trinket in the whole 3.2 is Death's Choice, or am I missing something?

What are you doing with your Arm Pen gems now that 3.2.2 is live? I was trying to figure out if your spreadsheet is using the new nerfed values, but can't tell.

From what I can see, Agi now "appears" to be slightly ahead of Arm Pen on a straight EP basis ... but since Arm Pen scales, I"m wondering if there is a magic number at which point Arm Pen pulls ahead of Agi again. Or if my numbers are even correct about Agi showing stronger than Arm Pen after the nerf.

On the "Settings" tab, cell B3 allows you to use the 3.2.2 ArPen conversion.

The issue isn't the damage nerf to FoK, it's definitely the Interrupt removal. That really hurts. The most aggravating thing is removing the only reason to take a talent that's near the top of a tree. No trade off balance, and now It'll cost 20 gold (not major, just irritating) to get my talent points out of a totally useless ability. Quite frankly they should have just removed the talent and given us a free respec. The damage nerf they can sell me, it's lame, but as mentioned, it was expected. If they want the ability used less, INCREASE the friggin energy cost! Is that so hard a solution?
