I calculated 715 ArP softcap with a Mjolnir which would mean a new hardcap of 1380.

Still not working ruthless,

The warlock tier 9 4-piece bonus should now properly increase damage done by Conflag. We had a few problems getting this fix to work, but we think it is working now.

Keep in mind that since mind flay is a core part of your DPS cycle, increasing its range essentially increases the range of ALL of your dps spells as you'd have to run in to mind flay once your dots are up and MB is on cooldown anyway. Longer range = less time running = more time dpsing = more dps.

so im debating wich one should i pick, IA or MA, even tho IA seems like a decent dps buff in some fights, i think MA is better for surviving situations and might help mitigate mana dump

Confused with specs new 80 mage

Hi there,

I have been reading all the threads on Mage specs and I am trying to figure out what the best spec is for me. I run 5-man heroics every day and I want to start running 10-man raids. I am currently a FB mage. Here is my spec .

Is Fb spec still the "best" DPS spec for a mage? I find that on most 5-man heroics I need to AoE a lot of trash and the FB spec is lacking in that respect.

Any advice would be appreciated. I just want to get better.

At this point we killed the second set. I used AMS and VB on first set, and IBF on second set. Repeated when he poped up. The forth set of adds was the last one we killed. By this point Anub should be at 30%. We then popped Army (me and 1 other DK in the raid) and prayed. It was a close call but we downed it.

Dropping points out of Arcane Mind should always be your first step (it's a tiny dps increase), and if your guild is doing anything that's even remotely challenging to you, 2/2 MA is a must.

where was it "shown" to be inferior? i saw no explanation in the OP. I have not read the past pages.

I understand that blood strike will benefit from raid debuffs more than SS would, however, there is a drastic difference in crit rate, almost 20% from my data.

necro vs bcb has always been an interesting decision for me. I always view an single point in either talent provides 1% of my overall damage per point.

edit, like in my last test, on a full hp target dummy bcb acounted for 1.1% of my overall damage, and necro at 2%.
I also consider IUP very important compared to throwing more filler points in necro or bcb. Ill take my run speed, and beat you out of the fire on the ground, or the boss that just punted you away.

So with the nerfs to ArP in 3.2.2, the stat is still useful (#1 stat, followed by Agi) but you need a lot more of it for to get to 100%? I think the old number was ~1200 ArP to be capped (100% armor ignored). Anybody know the new number? Also, what is the new softcap?
