im new to the fprums and i am just looking for a little feedback, heres my latest wws Wow Web Stats just lookin to see what i can do different to improve my dps be it through gear selection, gems, spec etc... and my armory link , The World of Warcraft Armory
Ok i didn't see the change they did at that glyph - so sry for that. I suppose tho from some posts i have seen that MM hunters have aimed shot in their rotations so it could still be a glyph they want to have
Gahh I'm a little concerned about my DPS in wotlk.
I'm currently specced Mutilate/Combat 51/13/7 and i'm pretty damn comfortable running a 4/4 rotation for a fight without losing HfB at any point.
We did our first guild run into Naxx10 on Friday, clearing spider wing, 2/3 Plague (30min fight on Heigan, 4manned from 50% ) and then went to go do Patchwerk, mainly to fuel my ego...
I however only managed 2800dps BM Hunter in raid did 2200dps, DK did 2100dps, Mage and Shaman did 1900 each so we were quite low in general, only had 30secs to spare on enrage.
My Hit I know is lacking, I've only got 260(lol) with buff food up, about 2700AP unbuffed, 14 Expertise and 30% Crit. I was flasked with an albeit old school relentless assualt flask and glyphed for rupture and SnD.
There is a wealth of information on these forums - so thanks for that, but I fear my only shortfall is my gear and I'm finding it so so hard to find +hit on anything. Anyone else seem to be stuck like this?
Titansteel Destroyer is clearly the best non-raid weapon, it has the quality of Naxx 10 weapons and if you have the money and don't have the possibility to get normal Naxxramas weapons then it's the best choice, or if you only raid 10 mans it's a good start to save dkp.
Sword of Justice is the best blue, because of its good 3.8 speed. It's comparable to the Colossal Skull-Clad Cleaver, the worst epic.
And despite the quite big dps difference, the sword has the higher max damage.
Personally i have the Runeblade of Demonstrable Power and intend to wait for a heroic Naxxramas weapon instead of spending 2k+ gold. Sure I would pick up the sword or the axe if they happen to drop but I won't farm for them.
thx for the help
ur right i wont have any money after getting my epic flyer at lvl 80 so I'm just gonna go for the cheaper alternative n get the Sword of Justice and as a JCer im gonna gem it with the +27 str gem (JC Only)
Math means nothing when applied. Raid comps and healing assignments will be different depending on the guild and situation. If raid damage is high enough, there is no threat of being sniped. 1.9 second CH 3x per WG / CoH - And if Shamans suddenly take over MT healing, are you really putting pallies and priests solely on the raid? When I say spot with LHW, I mean spot heal the tank - top him off between the next breath, hateful, etc. Hell, bounce CH off the tank to top him while topping off DPS at the same time.
Everyone sits here writing out advanced math breakdowns on what's going to be efficient and what's not and what's going to work in x situation when they've only seen y.
Do the fights and heal the way your raid needs healing. If you're in a situation where your guild doesn't have a steady paladin, sure, you can take over MT healing. If you're in a balanced raid assuming 8 healers with 2/2/2/2 (pally, priest, druid, shaman) or 7 healers in which case I'd say 2/2/2/1 (shaman being 1) then the best role you could fill is raid healing with spots on the tank.
Basing healing on math and rotations is unbelievable. It's the most reactionary role in this game so play it that way.
Hell our last PW was 4 healered, and I casted an amazing 5 LHW's and maintained 5600 hps. The week before was 5900 with roughly the same breakdown. We'll probably go down to 3 healers this week to see what kind of raid dps we can push (25 man) and if I'm in, I still won't be casting LHW - My mana will sustain a 2 minute fight while casting CH at 1.9 seconds with 27k for replenishment - meaning more HPS and a successful kill. Could I pull it off with LHW? Obviously. Is is the most efficient - depends.
React to what's going on. Don't rely on 'napkin math' to figure out what's going to work best for you, and don't fall into a RT - HW - HW - CH - HW - HW habit. Treating healing like a DPS rotation is ridiculous.
Why would you be casting CH in PW? All you do is heal your melee, reducing the cushion for the hateful strikes. Unless you are not having your melee step in the green goop to reduce their HP, which means you are taking a huge risk of a melee taking a hateful.
Back on topic:
With the reduction in IWS, and the nerf too CoH/WG, does that push us out of single target roles on most fights just because no one else will be able to handle the job? Im concerned we will end up CH spamming again not becuase we CANT do single target, but because noone else will be able to raid heal effectively.
Hunger for Blood x3 -> Garrote/Ambush/cheapshot (whichever) -> SnD -> Mutilate x2 -> (probably a 4CP)Rupture -> Mutilate X2 -> Envenom/Evis (depending on poison stack)
and yeah, of course don't let HfB ever wear off, that's a given.
Should I prioritize my finisher, meaning that if I don't have 5CP and 5DP stack, should I envenom at all, or simply stick with eviscerate? Just off top, I suspect most of the time I'll end up with a 4CP envenom with 5 stacks of deadly using this rotation. Should I try to employ shiv to get that last CP or DP stack then envenom or let it go?
Any constructive criticism in regards to my rogue would be appreciated.
Been checking this template out : 0/31/40
What would be the best spell rotation? I mean, between the MC uptime (CoA + corr should always be up?) and the Conflagration to launch in the last 3 seconds of immolate, i'm kind of lost...
I dont have a high lvl mage to try this out still working up (2 weeks so far and 1-67, getting there) and i never been a fire player so im really interested in the arcane builds. Ive been looking at a couple so far but seems that they still arnt that great but no one seems to have looked into arcane with either frost or fire trying for procs on ABAM. the only way i have to test is with rawr and not so great with calculations but seems a AB>AB>Frost Bolt>FrB>FrB> here hopefully by now you have a ABAM proc ready or you can cast AB again for the refresh now the timer has been increased. in rawr seems to be best on mana and dps wise but hey i could be doing something wrong anyone have input? again i dont have a raiding mage to test this on.
Iwkyb of Dethecus is doing a statistical analysis of damage across classes in WWS reports, and what his data is showing is that the "crazy hunter damage" is largely owing to the 51/20 Readiness/BW build+ cat rake + CotW stacking:
This data largely supports what many of you have said here.
Too bad that the blizzard can't read statistics or have to big of an ego to admit that they made changes based on QQers.
I think we should be focusing on damage control of the nerf here
Just a quick question before my guild goes to attempt 25 man KT Tonight, if
Sinister Revenge* Wowhead wasn't linking properly for me
Was to drop, would it be an eligible MH for Mut? I already have Omen of Ruin for when i respec mut, but I'm very confused on what weapons Mut uses for MH/OH, if someone could just quickly give me a reply on this it'd be much appreciated ! (I did search, found some handy questions but when i searched Mut weapon speeds it mainly come up with questions about poisons). If it's a crappy dagger for mut i will just pass it.

Just out of curiosity does anyone know how much EP Alchemy is worth as a profession? I am well aware it falls behind other ones but atm I am Herbalist/alchemy and don't really have the inclination to lvl a new profession from scratch. Though maybe it is easier and cheaper than I am imagining. I'm not going to be doing top end 40 mans, just mainly 10 and 25 mans so is it worth it to change?
I don't know why this hasn't been talked about already.
From 3.0.8 patch notes:
Mental Quickness: Reduced the mana cost of instant cast Shaman spells by 2/4/6% and increases spell power by an amount equal to 23/46/70% of your agility.
This is down from its current state, which increases spellpower by 10/20/30% of AP (which, of course, stacks very well with mental dexterity).
I'm getting about 900 spellpower from this talent now. Changes will knock the bonus down to about 500.
Weak.
So what changes can we expect to itemization and even rotation/priority as a result? I haven't been able to wrap my head around it yet.
Also, does anyone else notice how Blizzard keeps designing mail enhancement gear that is (in many cases) inferior to the equivalent leather piece? And, doesn't this change just make us more inclined to choose leather? They tend to have substantially more Agi. I'm tired of trying to explain to rogues and feral druids why I need "their" loot.
Since i hit 80 i have been trying a number of builds and glyph combinations. I have also been speaking to a lot of druids about where they think the class is heading. I was hoping i could get some input here specifically regarding some of my discoveries.
I suppose the first one is that i really like the 1 second Healing Touch build.
With enough gear and Mp5 there is something about a 5k heal and an 8k crit, followed by a 0.5 second cast that makes me think that this is a solid build for at least one druid in your raid. In addition druids can roll full hots and throw in these quick heals on fights such as Sarth + 3 and Patchwerk.
The second build i have tested is the RG build with glyph.
Whilst i found this build to be a solid raiding build, 1.9 second casts for 8k crits at a higher mana costs just didnt appeal to me. Even then addition of living seed seemed to perform poorly (Or so WWS would suggest).
Ultimately i have come to the belief that RG and HT are one in the same and a HT specced druid can use regrowth just as well as an RG specced druid. In addition i am sure there is some middle ground between the builds and spell rotations when fulls HoT's are rolling.
The following build is what i had hoped we could discuss. (Please note that it requires sufficient haste to negate 1 point in Naturalist)
I am looking for criticisms and advice on the merits of this build and where i can make changes. I am confident under the right amounts of haste and mp5 coupled with priority healing rotations (RG>Natures Grace>HT??) that this build will deliver more effective HPS within a raid.
I was sorting out two 10 men groups for raids the other day and noticed that after all warlocks have to be called useless to some extent. Bringing a warlock/mage or warlock/boomkin seems just straight up worse then mage/boomkin. I really had a hard time fitting warlocks into raids while getting the raid buffs correctly.
While I was trying to solve the puzzle, I had to ask myself the question why I am posting this:
Why does Curse of Elements exist in its current form? Or at least, why isn't malediction more powerful?
Boomkins lose about 3-4% dps according to our owl when applying the 13% spellpower debuff. DKs do not lose any, but need a specific spec. Affliction loses about 7-8% dps from not having CoA but gains a bit from more shadow bolts. Still it's a fairly big loss of dps.
For destro specs it's hardly acceptable to debuff CoE. You lose 5% outright dps and then Molten Core uptime goes to hell while your CoE only debuffs 10% more spelldamage taken and not 13%.
The way it works right now, I doubt many warlocks cast CoE any more in 25 person raids, if ever. You'll just bring someone else to do the job as right now the warlock's +spelldmg taken mechanic is just not very powerful compared to alternatives.
One way to make the warlock debuff more useful would be to buff Malediction but in a way that you only gain if you actually use CoE. Having to spec affliction to supply a powerful debuff is fine, especially as affliction is a very good spec to start with. But being punished for buffing the raid while pretty much all similar buffs/debuffs that classes bring to the raid are free additions just seems wrong and a plain oversight when they redesigned raid buffs/debuffs.
Its depressing that GC will decide in a number of threads to remind everybody not to QQ but won't respond to the bug thread. I had high hopes after seeing the progress be made on the Paladin Judgment bug.
