Well to be fair here, there was just a nerf to ArP in patch 3.2.2 just three days ago and a lot of people are interested in how it affects stacking of ArP. With that said, the discussion should be moved to it's own thread so other questions can be answered here.

Still Slow MH Fast OH for Mut?

With the recent changes to Master Poisoner (envenom no longer consuming deadly poison stacks), do we still want a fast OH dagger? It seems to me that, if you're 3/3 in MP , you could put a slow dagger in your OH for better Mut damage. It'd take a bit longer to get 5 deadly stacks, but they'd never be consumed. Do you think the extra Mut damage would outweigh the damage lost waiting for 5/5 deadly stacks?

The damage loss of getting five stacks of deadly are not the only factors you need to consider but also the potential energy returns generated from your OH via FA which indirectly affects your DPS as well. So when taking that into account I believe fast OH still comes out on top.

In general, you want the highest DPS weapon available to you in your mainhand. All other things being equal, slower is better, but generally not to enough of a degree that superior item level won't be better (though it will be close enough to demand spreadsheeting generally).

Why IFP and HC when you could put in 3pts into Icy Talons which will further your dps. Whereas HC and IFP does nothing to you in dps wise.

I've looked thru serveral threads under Rogue class mechanics but I can't find one that mentions rotations. Can someone please tell me what is a good rotation for a 80 combat rogue, still in low naxx gear, trying to get better gear.
Or link to a thread that has the info that I missed....thx

Also there is something that I haven't been able to figure out. Supposedly you can't use Ambush without a dagger in your main hand. If that is true then how, when I check other players on armor websites, can someone who has a fist weap in their MH slot, and a dagger in the OH slot be getting a percentage of their damame from Ambush?

swipe cat max dmg

hey, sorry if this question has been asked before,
but swiping in cat form at multible target.
is there a dmg maximum or a target maximum before the dmg per mob goes down?

i have noticed at onyxia that if i swipe one whelp pack i do about 6k -7k swipe dmg, but when we murge with the second pack i get a max of 1.6k per mob, so there must be a max dmg or a limit number of mobs before dmg goes doen (again dmg per mob not total dmg)

please advise

Personally I've never seen Anub and all 4 adds in range for a Flamestrike so I'd just directly Blizzard (because a 5 targets Blizzard should do higher DPS than a 3 targets Flamestrike).

I don't know, maybe we do? I never really thought it was "special", but I don't really know what other guilds are doing.

For hard mode, we all stack together with the adds and anub. All the raid and all the mobs in the same spot, so yes, I definitely am using Flamestrike since its hitting everything and the ground dot keeps going while my blizzard cast is going on. I would think most raids would have all 4 adds in the same spot, however, since they need to all be on the ice in order to avoid having them submerge. All of us stacking together is our current bid to have some control over Shadow Strike (as far as we can tell, it seems to always hit the person not stacked) -- though my personal preference is for us to just have 4 good interupters and an assigned corner each. I'm not quite sure why a 1.3 second cast, after mind numbing, would give anyone trouble.

We haven't actually killed him on Hard Mode yet, so perhaps we'll adjust that in the future, but for now that seems to make the most sense.

Hey all

Im new here, my name is onemanshow on bleeding hollows just wondering im speced for Combat and i have full t8.5...i have 2 piece of t9.5 but it seems the 8.5 bonus is better than the t9 bonus...would i lose dps switching? when should i switch? (how many pieces) any advice?
