Give me a macro to use lightwell without having to move my mouse and click on it among ten people, and I'll gladly take it. :3
That aside, it might be worth it for sapphiron fight (unchained magic), although saph has been nerfed already.
But in P3, wich is the only relevant part of the fight, you need to move a lot, depending on how you manage the ice tombs and the stacking debuff.
Maybe blood queen as well, if will-be-bitten people want it.
On tear gas, it's a bit of a waste (no one dies during this). But do you mean you can click on the well while you are stunned?
In the twin valkyr fight in TOGC, i will place my camera overhead, and place the lightwell next to me, and its very easy to click it, providing that noone stands on it.
this is my armory link although its kinda useless...
i have hit the 85% passive arp cap for mm, so what now stack agi or what. normally i do my own theorycrafting or spread sheet's to figure out for myself but i have no time recently to spend any extra time on ss's.
After i stoped playing WoW for about 3 months i am now back on track and with very kind help of my current guild "planB" i got my shaman equiped pretty much in a short period of time.
I am using EnhSim and i am reading in the Shaman stickies as often as i can but to be honest right now i have the feeling that i am doing something wrong cause my RaidDPS isnt very competitive.
EnhSim gives me round about 9100DPS with my current gear which i can`t achieve even on very static encounters.
At Saurfang for example i am able to hit 8K at the very best but in most of the fights in Icecrown esepcially when there is a lot of movement i am more around 6,8 - 7,2K DPS.
I would really like to improve a bit more if EnhSim says there is room for it.
Have any discipline priests done any math with Trauma yet? I can see it being better for renew Holy priests, but I am wondering if it procs off of Glyph of Power Word: Shield.
Until recently (i.e., today) I have played disc exclusively (general healer for heroics, tank healer for raids). I am admittedly a casual player but nonetheless committed to improving my healing whenever possible. I have found it difficult to keep my 5-man team up in ICC heroics such as Pit of Saron due to the aoe and splashback damage from many of the mobs and bosses. As such, I've respecced out of shadow and into holy as my secondary.
From my understanding of the holy mechanics, my principal spells are renew, PoM, CoH and an occasional flash with SoL. In practice while running Frozen Halls non-H, I'm opening with PoM followed by renew and CoH where multiple teammates require healing. I'm unsure, however, of the following:
1. Should I be shielding as I did as a disc healer and, if so, when?
2. What are my best tools when someone takes significant burst damage (in disc, I would rely upon shield, penance and fh).
3. What's the best way of dealing with range issues when casting CoH. Should I be closer to the tank than I otherwise would as a caster?
4. Mana management is now an issue. I'm not at a point where I can obtain separate holy gear. Other than the usual suspects (shadowfiend, hymm, etc.), any tips for mana management?
5. My mass dispel is agonizingly slow. Can I improve this cast time?
Any assistance and general tips (and, yes, I have read the various compendia extensively) for a new holy priest would be greatly appreciated.
I am going crazy trying to figure out when gemming for armor pen over agil is going to be a dps increase. I am currently at 519 ArP and have the Needle Encrusted Scorpion. Putting me at the soft cap with gems always seem to result in a dps loss on the spreadsheet from gemming pure agil. Any advice?

Just wondering which DoTs spriests are supposed to keep up. I know Mind Flay refreshes SW Pain. Do I just refresh DP, SW, and VT during a MB CD or something?
How do you manage that the Tier 10 set has 0 hit rating on it, and most of the BIS ICC (nor HC) items also doesen't have a single point of hit rating on it?
Now I seriously lack hit rating and planning to buy 2 T10 parts for set bonus (together with 2 - T9 set bonus), but even if I am gemmed with +10agi - +10 hit gems in EVERY yellow socket, still only have 7,1% chance to hit, so if I loose the draneii from my group I am not hitcapped... If I change my random epics to T10 parts I loose that little amount of hit rating I have now...
Some with 4-5 parts of T10 - did you "waste" your gem slots and sacrificed them for hit rating gems or I really don't know something?
At BiS level, gemming hit will replace a miss with a crit (since you're pretty much at the crit cap), so it's not wasted at all. In fact gemming hit is much more valuable than gemming agi/haste at that level.
Other good ways to get more hit rating are using the marrowgar ring (or rep ring), and enchanting hit on gloves.
You should try to keep Shadow Word: Pain, Vampiric Touch, and Devouring Plague up the entire time. Shadow Word: Death is not a DoT, and is really only used when moving.
Ok I spent some time testing some kind of rotations against a target dummy in orgrimmar.
This test is nothing complete or accurate, is just first impression.
I used all my combat gear (almost everything 264) with Gouge of Frigid Heart(Ilv258) as mainhand dagger and Flesh-Carving Scalpel(Ilv251) as offhand.
My rotation of finishers was like:
5 cp Shadowstep + Rupture as main priority. (Shadowstep has 20sec cd now, so you can always shadowstep rupture)
Eviscerate if rupture and slice n dice are up and got 5cp.
Refresh Slice n Dice with any number of cp.
Shadowdance with 1xAmbush 1xEvis 1xAmbush whenever you got time to (mostly of time before refreshing Rupture to exactly time end of shadowdance with end of rupture on target).
I was alone with none in party so only my abilities flooded me with CP.
To build CP I used Backstab.
I gotta say that in combat gear (gemmed arp or exp/hit) with
5440 ap
429 hit
42,94% crit
16expertise
18,02% haste
65.52% ArP
I could keep my dps over 5500-6000 with no Blood Spatter talent with a pvp 16/0/55 spec.
I didn't use any pve glyph (no rupture, no backstab) or any buff.
I think we should really try some analysis to understand what is the better gemmin etc because this spec can really give much if it stays like that.
EDIT: forgot to say, Wound in main, Deadly in offhand.
The soft haste cap (around 700 haste) brings your HL down to 1.3s. To bring it further down to 1.2s, almost 1300 haste is needed. It's quite impossible to reach these numbers without socketing for haste only. And the impact is rather low.
It might sound weird but check your gems.
I have been on the PTR ~12h ago and I was also shocked when encountering a huge dmg loss.
But when I took a look at my gems I realized that all where gone! Just enchants were in place like they have been after migrating the char to PTR.
So I send some gems from a premade to the copied char and the numbers where like I used to know before.
I did, i find out that too. BUt still its far away from the DPS before...
I dont have a clue what can be the problem
On my warlock alt, Ayeela, I have run ToC 25 last night and was lucky enough to get 4 upgrade pieces, waist, gloves and legs and a trophy (wearing them now in the armory to use as a reminder of what I got).
Currently, I am using 4pc T9 (ilevel 232) and the 245 ilevel help from emblems. If I start using the new gear I will have to break my tier bonus down to 2 pieces.
Looking at my dps meters from last night, it shows that Corruption represents between 35% to 42% of my overall damage on boss fights. Being not a math genius, I was wondering if using breaking the set will affect my dps significantly.
Playing with RAWR I get the following differences:
Current set 4T9 New gear
HP 17724 17964
Mana 20526 21081
DPS 1006 1028
Bonus Dmg 2674 2727
Corruption 12176 11368
The only buffs I set for this comparison was fel intelligence with improved felguard up and fel armor. While I see and overall improvement in all my stats, I can not fail to notice the decrease in the estimated damage done by Corruption.
So, my question would be, is it worth to keep the 4pT9 bonus, and if so, until when? Since this is my alt, most of her emblems of frost are dedicated to get primordial saronite to feed upgrades to my main toon.
Any thougths will be welcomed
PS. I customized the new set in RAWR with enchants and using the sp/spi epic jewels.
Despite using my gear, I did turn off Bryntroll's proc, to be safe. Like you said, although Frost sub-spec does favor Bryntroll, the results still stand without it. I did do BiS (sans Shadowmourne) tests and it does eventually have Blood Reaping pull ahead... by a whopping 30 dps.
I'm not sure I understand why we would change then. The numbers you cite for using a frost sub-spec and GoBS are 50 DPS and 5 DPS respectively, but then in this post you note the 30 DPS pull-ahead as if it's not something worthwhile.
Essentially, respeccing/glpyinh/potentially changing gear around for a potential 50 DPS gain now seems to not be a great idea if other data shows frost sub-spec falling behind as more gear is acquired. Unless you're really looking for a new way to play Unholy I suppose. On that note I agree - Unholy has become pretty bland in general - it just feels like we're grasping at straws for a new way to spec for a half a percent increase in DPS that likely will get worse with gear scaling.
I understand that fleet footed will help you stay on a moving target and that we should put the two points from blood splatter somewhere else but i felt the energy refund of missed finishers from quick recovery would boost dps more. If you're over the soft expertise and hit caps does fleet footed then outweigh quick recovery?
