Fair point. I probably should have prefaced my comment as being based off my current gear level. I'm curious, though - with your raiding gear, do you actually see Glyph of ToW pass Glyph of Flame Shock, or are you taking it more on a personal preference?

I hope I can get an answer for my question here. I'm pondering about which rotation and spec I should use with this gear:

I was thinking about speccing into Imp Evis and skip rupture since the 2 piece bonus of t9 is.. kind of bad; but with my low passive ARP I'm not so sure if it would be a dps increase. I'm getting a "low rupture" cycle on my spreadsheet, how is this rotation exactly? Any thoughts on what I ought to do?

Mostly personal preference. ToW will scale better with haste and movement (refreshing FS hurts the FS glyph) and in dummy tests I didn't notice a significant change in DPS. LB/Lava/ToW works well for PVP aswell.

Do you want a avoidance heavy set? Mitigation heavy set? Anub set with nature resistance? Stam stacking set? BiS is entirely based on the encounter you are tanking for.

Just few thoughts. im o theory crafter but Abaar get used by me when ive hit that mana wall and im praying for a proc... and POM seems to be outa faviour but still dam nice with a flame strike

Hi,
I am in great need for some direction. i have read all these posts and apply all suggestions but for some reason my dps can't pass 3200 (molten armor buff only) on the Boss dummy (skull).
I start out with Combustion, mirror image, icy vein, living bomb, trinket (599 sp x20sec), scorth and then I spam FF. living bomb is refresh after it goes off and pyro is use every time it cycles. I've done it repeatedly on the dummy and I still avg about 3200 after 1 min.

My gear is good and I enchant and gem to get most out of SP and crit.

if anyone can shed some light on this, i would be eternaly grateful because i'm royally puzzled.

Good day fellow Warriors

Ive been reading your excellent views and thoughts for some time now, have always been intimidated to get involved judging by some of knowledge ive seen here(its overwhelming & i guess ive been prot for so long so not as clued up as i should be for fury). Anyways there a couple things id like to ask/discuss - apologies if this has been touched on might have missed it.

I currently have Grim Toll & Greatness as my trinkets, i am top of PR with my guild by quite a margin so the first Dual Blade and Deaths Choice that drops will be mine(ye 4-5 weeks now and neither have dropped for us!) So my question is which trinket do i replace for it? Here is a link to my armory to help u decide, please feel free to comment on anything else you think i could improve. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys!
I have a problem about my tanking gear. I have T9 4/5 (helm, shoulders, pants, hands) and in my chest i wear that [Chestguard of the Warden], with +51 JC Gem.

I have problem with block.

Block chance 15.76%
Block rating 0 cos i dont have stacks from my gear
Block Stops 1713.

My defence is 544, Hp 34.6k and i have 28.31% Dodge & 19.92% Parry.

My question is:
1. Is low that Block?
2. If is it low, How can i fix that?

sorry if this is a nubbins question but. ive been a healbot for a long time. just got into dps'in i know there is no set rotation for a shadow priest . i wanted to know what the priority of spells are. or the basics of dps'in are. Priority

I've been gearing up in the 25 heroic TOC stuff but noticing the lack of expertise on leather gear other than twopieces being [Acidmaw Treads] and [Vengeance of the Forsaken] The second being pretty useless far as spreadsheets have been telling me compared to other trinkets. So is expertise that really important for combat rogues? At the moment I'm at only 13 out of 26 for the cap, given I just replaced my acidmaw boots for the 25 heroic ones from faction champions which my spreadsheet said were a bigger icnrease in dps. Leaving me with just my crimson star as my only expertise item. I take its not bad to have such a low expertise value as combat given our finishers can't be dodged, just our auto's and SS, just feels weird to have it so low for once.

in this order im in full t9 yet i cant break 3.3k dps in the IF heroic dummy.. have no idea why. i have 2700 sp , 15% crit and 11% hit and 454 haste

As i can understand the 4tht bonus of 4/5 T9 is shield wall 10 sec decrease so that is usefull on high-end raid TotG 10/25 and Hc's and unusefull for the Ulduar and down. As i can see the way to tank on high-end raids is to avoid with Dodge and Parry ratings and not Block. That someone can see at sets and gears.

I have the T8.5 Head and Chest but I see that if you have stack Defence You gain stats on your Block,Dodge,Parry. So its right to stack Defence in 560 or 570 or its useless that?

Based on your situation you would want to aim for the boots, but not make it a top priority.
