I hate to be a crybaby but I really am sick of the nerfs, I wish they would just nerf us dead, or just stfu about it. Everyday EVERY single day all I see is "pallies will be getting nerfed".....Like we've been adjusted and nerfed and hotfixed like 50 times, about the same amount as druids and mace stun was for BC, oh wait.
But I digress, I just want to know what to play for wrath, right now i'm #1 or top 3 on all fights in sunwell, if i'm going from that to always 6-10 i'll just play my hunter, so if anyone has some insight or anything they want to share with how horrible or great ret will be once ALL of these fixes nerfs or w/e go live, fill me in

auto attack/auto shot issue
Issue:
Leaving the "auto attack/auto shot" interface option unchecked is apparently causing auto shots to fail to go off occasionally while spamming steady shot.
Checking the "auto attack/auto shot" option causes you to auto target the next closest target(ala tab key) if you are mid cast of a steady shot while your current target dies.
I haven't been able to find much information on what blizzard plans to do about this except one post on the wow hunter forums where someone states "blizz knows about this and plans to fix in an upcoming patch".
I have not been able to find any solid verification of this(blue).
Anybody have any more insight/information about this and any resolutions?

This comes up every couple of years. I actually remember suggesting user managed moderation way back in the SOE whineplay days, but nobody seems to want to do it, for whatever reason.

There's a problem with user managed moderation: Saying something unpopular can get you modded down really fast. And you can get modded down for disagreeing with someone. You get enforcement of the status quo, and the status quo of the WoW forums is TRASH.
I have a slashdot account that has negative karma because I: 1. Questioned why a post that linked a funny video was marked flamebait 2. Called a racist joke horrible
I stopped visiting the site. I don't like popularity contests.

Hello there, I was planning on rolling resto shaman for Wrath. Right now the build I'm looking at is Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
For those who dont like to click links, the notable differences from most specs I've seen is the pick up of thundering strikes (full 5/5) over healing way, or Imp. HW. Glyphed with the lesser healing wave glyph, the idea is that I would be capable of MT healing if needed, in addition to any other healing assignments.
The main question I have is if I'm missing something here. From what I can see, glyphed LHW coupled with Earth Shield looks to provide a powerful boost to shaman single target healing, and the free 5% crit from thundering strikes would help keep Ancestral healing up (as well as providing a steady stream of mana from IWS procs...)
Are there any better places to throw those points? or is it mainly down to preference by this point?

Hi,
as an affliction lock i noticed that shadow embrace works only for 1 affliction lock per raid. Is this working as intended? I mean, this would force us to 1 affliction per raid. :/
And what about the debuff slots? Are there still only 40? With curse, corruption, immo, haunt, UA, SL and shadow embrace i have 7 debuffs on the target. Imagine 3 affliction locks and we have already 21 debuffs.
Last but not least, did anybody noticed haunt sometimes not refreshing corruption too? Here is an example vid: World of Warcraft (en) Forums -> Corruption bug (updated with video)
Playing on an german realm i have no access to the us wow-forums. I would really appreciate if someone could post this there. Maybe we get a response from Ghostcrawler =)
regards
Senomar

Thanks for attempting to answer my question Nicarras and Vindra. To be completely honest, I was using the test dummies to test out my dps. My guild raids on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings, so for now I'm just waiting to get more results. However, using recount showed that I was only hitting 1.2-1.3k dps in Hyjal last week. I've never been in Sunwell before, and I only have the nimble thought crafted pieces and nethervoid cloak from BT and Hyjal. That may have something to do with the low dps.
Yesterday and today I have been spending loads of gold to switch between different specs, to see how their dps compare. While test dummies may not be very accurate, if I control the time I dps, and keep the conditions roughly the same (not very hard to do), I can at least see how the dps and total damage compare for each spec. I only had fel armor up, and a firestone applied to my weapon for control.
I need to start saving the data and link it, or I realize I'm wasting everyone's time. I apologize, and will try not to do that in the future.

Edit: nvm, it's pointless to try and understand their decisions. Guess the only thing left to do is wait and see if they are keeping their word in trying to balance all the specs or they're going to use another set of excuses.

Thinking a bit about frost tank spec, i saw some nice synergie between talent possible.
First of all i'd like to get every tank talent possible, that's lead my choice most of the time.
Then i were looking for skill i want use, and since any heal done generate threath i do think death strike will make more than obliterate.
Consider runic power mastery, you stack 130 RP, you now take death strike glyph, you have healing and damage done by you're death strike increase by 26*2%=52%.
You only use you're RP for Rune strike, you also are sur to always have enough RP stack for any of you're tanking RP skill.
I don't think epidemic worth it as tank, Ice touch is kinda OP talented, i prefere increase my stamina and strengh with ravenous dead and i do the old combo of toughness + bladed armor for threath.
I end with this kind ot template : http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?deat...00000000000000
Rotation would be PS-IT-DS-BS-BS-PS-IT-DS-DS, it left some spot in case a rune is dodge/parry or just miss and for use tank skill. Of course Rune Strike must be link to any skill.
Any opinion out of this ?

Zones and Quests
Loved the atmosphere you felt when entering HFP. Floating rocks, the skies were amazing, big ass demon fights outside the portal, it really felt like you stepped into another dimension. However frustration soon hit home as you were standing with two dozen people idling around a single mob respawn point. Zangarmarsh was a very strange follow-up zone imo, going from a war torn zone to a giant mushroom place didnt make much sense.
My favourite quest zone still is Shadowmoon Valley, especially the huge chains you can do there. Netherstorm I never liked much, too many belfs probably. As far as scenery goes, Nagrand is the winner.
Shattrath was terrible, it never felt like a city. But from what I heard they've learned a thing or two and applying that to Dalaran (no fly zone is a brilliant idea). Of course the portals to everywhere were a godsend, and most of my alts have been bound to the Scryer in as soon as I can nab a portal from a friendly mage.
5-men content
TBC gave me a reason to pull my tank out of the moth balls. At the end of vanilla I was raiding with my warlock, but it soon became obvious there was a glaring lack of tanks for dungeons. Before I knew it my warrior was my main again. As a result I was exalted or at least close to, with almost all of the dungeon factions before I even started doing heroics. Looking back though I had a lot of fun progressing and gearing up there.
Most instances I found bland and uninteresting, but I will never forget seeing some of the places for the first time, learning all the tactics and pulls was a lot of fun. My all time favourite has to be Shattered Halls, it really felt like you were storming the place and the mobs actively trying to keep you at bay. And it was a huge challenge, especially in the beginning.
The Auchindaun instances were terrible, except maybe Shadow Lab. The lowever normal instances (level 64-66 iirc) were hardly ever run, and I never understood the reasoning behind putting only two bosses in an instance of above average difficulty.
I hated Mechanar, but I had to run that place so many times back when both gatekeepers dropped a badge each and I needed the Suneater still (best looking sword in game).
Overall there were some good instances with nice mechanics, but most of them failed to hide the fact they were simply coridors and got old very fast. I hope the LK instances will be more on par with for example MgT, which is in my opinion the most fun and best designed instance in the game.
Raids
I spent too much time in Kara. Fortunately I got rescued by my current guild at a point in time where it seemed I would spend the rest of TBC in Kara with little or no hope of ever going 25 man. I have been with Domus since Gruul and progressed together through SSC/TK/MH/BT and now chipping our teeth on nerfed SWP.
TK has to be the worst raid instance, trash was terrible and half the bosses were boring and unimaginative. Kael was a legendary fight however, and has been said before probably the only real endgame content in TBC (pre-nerf).
SSC was okay, though I remember us taking a lot of time to get certain bosses down. I did like the atmosphere of the place and the bosses themselves a lot more than TK tho. Vasjh was a really epic fight as well.
MH was fun, once. After that, especially as a tank, it became mindnumbingly boring. Trash was a disaster, especially the latter packs. Bosses were annoying at best, and lets not get started about Archimonde...
BT my favourite, loved the atmosphere, nice pacing. Most memorable raid night in TBC when we killed RoS and Mother for the first time ever in the same night, pre patch 3.0 nerf. We killed Illidan since, but that was a hollow victory, never heard a less enthausiastic cheer on vent when we downed him.
PvP
Not much into pvp. I played some BGs with my nabtard in mm/surv spec getting s1/2 for honour, so that doesnt count. Had fun doing it tho.
World pvp was a complete joke.
HFP: Trying to get marks for the trinkets only to get ganked and camped by level 70s.
Zang: They shouldve made the towers permanently in the hands of alliance, caps would always be made by a single played who had 10 minutes time to waste.
Terokkar: Same as Zang, though the recent addition of the daily for spirit towers seems to tickled the interest of some hordies. Found the 6 hour duration always a bit long, when I was levelling it was virtually impossible to collect shards for a horde.
Halaa: What a disaster... all the rewards are for the level of the zone, yet as soon as the horde would try and complete a single bomb run half the alliance on the server would be there when you landed. Permanently in Alliance control, except perhaps during off hours.
Never played more than 10 games of Arena, never liked it, never will. As been said before, e-sports doesnt belong in a game like this and the resulting mayhem with balance is screwing over all sides of the game in my opinion.
Professions
Very nicely done. Among my characters I have maxed out Enchanting, Tailoring, Engineering, Jewelcrafting, Leatherworking, and a few gathering skills. Although maxing the profs out was usually a lengthy and costly procedure, the rewards in the end were well worth it (not to mention being self-sufficient with such a plethora of profs).
Best and Worst
In the end, I really enjoyed the chance I got at tanking, and brining it this far. The worst by far has to be terrible overall dungeon design, and the implementation of arena's.
