The mage set doesn't have any spirit either so this might mean they are building the sets based on what the Items will be in Catalysm.

Hi All, quick question.

What do you gear for? I know Simcraft gives me the best statweights for increasing my own personal dps, but as Demo I tend to do it a little differently. Basically, I value Spellpower at 1, and spirit at .64, and then try to remain hit capped. Basically, I try to maximize my buff potential. Unfortunately, I end up rolling on healer gear (go go spirit) all the time, and loose out a lot to guild. Should I be doing this? I've been sitting at a stagnant spellpower and spirit for about a month now with minor upgrades, and am thinking about turning to aff or something. Any advice is welcome.

Additionally, if armory doesn't show, my UB stats are 892 spirit and 2552 spellpower...

Armor penetration is more for your Marksmanship hunters, even lately, results have been showing just as much dps for those gemmed/geared towards agility. As a survival hunter however, you're going to want to stay agility as black arrow and explosive shot don't benefit from armor penetration as far as I know...

still mages dont benefit as much as warlocks from spirit

lets hope those are not the definitive stats

Hey guys I'm nubbing it up over here. My rogue is pogotheclown on Archimonde and I was using the spreadsheet and it told me the evis only rotation was the best for my gear but I am losing dps like that and had to go back to high rupture. I may be missing something. If I don't have Grim Toll so how much arpen should I stack within reason. Any help on this to clear it up would be appreciated. I have read this whole thread but I suppose I fail on comprehension hehe.

I found the above very helpfull and I wanted to thank you for this post , I am still having allot of trouble with my dps and it is consistantly very low for what I have . I have been working on it reading and testing I will not give up !

its all good and stuff, but i cant seem to enter my spec - is that because im doing something wrong? i play on EU servers btw.

and when i go to wowhead it suggest that i use the SP/Int meta - is that really the best for arcane? having some dissucions in my guild atm.

One thing we always get stuck on is why genesis would not be worth it for the dot damage from insect swarm and moonfire, especially with 2pT9. Genesis simply does too little DPS to be of any use. Looking again, it's arguably as good as Brambles for single-target DPS, but we're still talking like 10 DPS per point. Any of these talents (Genesis, Brambles, Owlkin) are talents you're taking as complete filler because you've exhausted the Balance tree of useful options.

The priest set also has no spirit, so these must be just placeholder sets.

Now it is showing optimal gems being straight AGI. apparently I'm riding the fine line because if I changed the gloves from 9.5 to H Silver Assassin all the optimal gems are 20 arpen hehe. I'm in min/max limbo. I'll keep geming for arpen and pray for drops. I need to clean them up a bunch anyway.

Hey guys, relativly new Elem Shammy here

Just on general gearing up, i was hoping someone could point me towards some numbers to plug into pawn or a decent read on how different stats work for elem shammies

as far as i could tell, this seems as good a place as any to ask for this. sorry if its the wrong place.
