I think the hardest heroic i have done is halls of stone, always had a poor tank who cant control aggro of all the mobs when you have to protect the dwarf. So so far have avoided doing this instance although i need i for the champion of the frozen wastes title.

Hey guys,

Some guildmates and me were planning to slay Srtharion 3D 10er but we aren't quite sure if our setup is suitable for the fight. Our current setup is casterbased:

2Tanks(tankadin for all the adds and drakes/warri for sartharion)
2heal ( Healpally for both tanks and prist for groupheal)
6casterdd's ( 1 eleshamy/2warlocks/1mage/2moonkins)

I think every raidmember is very well geared and skilled... only the setup isn't quite sure...
Are 2 healers able to manage the high raiddmg?
Our plan was, to slay shadron before vesperons landing... we are all around 5k dps at patchwerk, while bloodlust a bit higher...

I only want to collect some feedback from someone who already maneged this fight.

I have seen alot of discussion about what spec DW might be best. What I havent seen (or have just missed and sorry if I have) is what are the best 2 weapon enchants and is it consistant with each spec or does the best weapon enchant combo change with wichever DW spec you choose?

I've spent hours testing the 32/39 with fast/fast, slow/fast, blood/unholy presence - and I haven't been able to hit anywhere close to the numbers that everyone else seems to be putting up.

So what was the best combo? Fast/fast or slow/fast? Blood/unholy presence?
I just specced this 0/32/39 to test out the dps compared to my usual unholy build, but on a dummie i do 400-500 more dps. Might be just the icy talon which you don't have in unholy, but you do get the 20% from shammy. It seems promising, but i only have 1 dps 1h weap, therefore i'm using a 1h tank weapon in my OH.

Man, i really wish they didn't remove the swing time loss off of slam. It used to be really fun and hard to do a slam rotation. I was awesome at doing that and timing it perfectley. Now its meh.

I have finally took the time to log into the PTR and test out blood tanking. I'm about to say that blood will be my new tank spec but I am having trouble figuring out what my rotation is as a tank. I'm also curious as to where my points are best spent. This may have been answered a few pages back, sorry if they have.

Then I have to decide on glyphs... I suppose this has all been discussed pages ago but I don't see to much.

Hey, i'm new around, unfortunately i didn't had time to read everything on the forum, so: my build

Few questions:

1. Is haste important for DW? More precise: should i drop the 3 points in [Virulence] or maybe the 3 in [Outbreak] and put 5 points in [Icy Talons]? Or is better to drop the [Icy talons] (and the 2 in [Black Ice]) and put the points in UH another talent?

2. Rune of Fallen crusader on both weaps?

3. Is OH importan to be a very fast weapon or i should choose a weapon with better dps and stats against a faster one?

Example: [Fang of Truth] or [Furious Saronite Beatstick]

Hey guys.. wish I could make a new thread about this, but I am on "post probation" since I am a new account. I have been reading elitistjerks for over a year and only now find a need to make a new post.

I have been trying various specs out and have found the 41/30 to be the most decent thus far after trying pure demo/pure destro/and pure affliction specs, I have not tried the 2/13/56 spec that people seem to rave about. My problem is that I lack sufficent crititcal strike at this time so really benifit from the 10% that you pickup from the 41/30 and love the 15% damage bonus of fire when CoA procs the buff.. my rotation I do is CoA/immo/incinerate until immo needs to be refreshed then rinse and repeat..

I stay away from laying curruption due to the mana cost and also the cost of the GCD effectivly making it better to cast immo/inc spam.

My question is this: I know that various specs are very gear dependant and here is where I currently stand on gear: The World of Warcraft Armory

I have 28.2% crit, so 33% on fire spells and 35% when i equip my firestone. My spellpower with the 41 in demo gives gets me to 2100 when fel armor is up with a demon out.

I am pulling close to 2500 single target dps, my question is I have seen people here claiming 4k dps to 5k dps single target dps. So my question is am I doing something wrong is the other specs really that better? I have tried the different specs and did not get near the dps I do now with 41/30 my gear has improved since those days but I know that 10% crit difference is making the difference with the 100% crit dps bonus that you get from bane. Without the extra 10% I would only crit out of every 3 or 4 casts, where with my current 35% crit I crit every 2/3 casts, with the norm being every second cast.

So with the gear that I have does anyone think I would benifit from another spec and what would the rotation be?

About glyphs... Some suggest Immolate/CoA/SL is the best while others go with corruption instead of SL. Which is the best?

Hey guys, long time reader, first time poster.

Just had a couple questions, but first off i'd like to say how appreciative i am that you take your time to do this.

These are gonna sounds pretty noobish, because i really suck with number crunching when it involves pets.

1.) The general consensus i get is that cats and scorpids will still be better post nerf, but out of those two, which is just flat out better?

2.) How much of a DPS reduction are BM hunters looking at after the nerf? I put out ~2.8k in naxx overall atm, hitting about 2.2 on bosses, and up to 6k on trash (<3 volley)

3.) I see how most of your pets are putting at least half of your DPS out, but mine only puts out ~900 where i put out 1900-2200. I'm currently using a cat.

PS, my gear really isn't that great, my guild is pretty much stuck in 10 man naxx atm, with a few 25 mans with another guild.

IMO affliction is like communism. both are great in theory not in practice.

i play on a pvp server so i also RAPE affliction locks out in the world. There is nothing like a soulfire gank

I know this is really basic to say, but make sure divine plea is used every minute and arcane torrent is used often as well.

Now, since I'm [sadly] a perfectionist, I was wondering about maximizing AP from professions. I've read on here that JC/BS is the best combination for adding DPS, but I'm mostly curious about how much better it is than enchanting/[jc or bs]. Are there any stats posted on this?

And lastly, how do these 2 stack up for future patches? Will you be able to make a decent amount of gold with JC in upcoming patches? I only ask because I'm pretty confident with my gold making skills using enchanting. If the AP increase is significant I'd probably change anyways though.

Since I installed WOTLK, my WoW has been totally out of commission (I'm a Comcast customer, no doubt). Sooo, I'm only 73. I've had little to no desire to read up on a game I can't play - but I am moving this week and will have new interwebz, so I've put together this MM spec - what do you guys think?

I was thinking of taking the extra points from efficiency and moving them into Go For the Throat, or imp arcane... or maybe keeping the efficiency points and taking the points out of survival.

Any thoughts?
