Hi, Just a short question ( and i'm sure this is littered all through this post but i can't seem to find it) i'd just like to know what the Fury rotation is. I recently went fury and my rotation is as follows:

BT-- (Slam if it Procs)-- WW-- (SLam if it procs)-- HS/Cleave dpepending on my rage and what fight i'm on. Then repeat.

still a little confused on the hit cap w/o boomkin is it 446 or 367? I always thought it was 467 w/o boomkin...
also, should I spec all my gems haste or sp? or should I mix/match?
with other gear in my bags I can get my haste to 670s but my hit goes all the way down to 267 though my crit is increased..

any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Go read the tooltip for the Elemental Precision talent.

Quote from the OP:
"White hits have a hit cap of 27%. The talent Nerves of cold steel reduces this by 3%. At this point, no white hits (or any attack for that matter) will miss. This cap is not reasonable to reach for any DK, and should not be attempted. However, keep in mind that gaining hit over the spell hit cap still has a dps value as it will allow more white damage, more blood caked blade procs, and more Killing machine procs."

Yes it still has a DPS value as the post says, but the DPS value is way too low compared to other stats to be stacked.
I can provide you with EP values of hit after spell hit cap if you want to see how much lower it is.

Edit: These values are with my IIT spec and my own stats:
AttackPower | 1
Strength | 2,6
Agility | 1,58
CritRating | 2,03
HasteRating | 1,43
ArmorPenetrationRating | 1,67
ExpertiseRating | 3,49
BeforeMeleeHitCap<8% | 3,94
SpellHitRating | 1,84
WeaponDPS | 6,42
WeaponSpeed | 462,69
After spell hit cap | 1,09
2T9 | 122,22
4T9 | 444,44
Greatness | 201,52
DeathChoice | 303,03
| Template | IIT 1-53-17
| Priority | Frost
| Presence | Blood
| Sigil | Virulence
| RuneEnchant | FallenCrusader / Razorice
| RuneEnchant | FallenCrusader
| Pet Calculation | True

As you see, it's the lowest DPS stat. That being said, I'd drop almost 200 hit for other stats from your current gear.
On a side note I don't understand why you are spending a point on Deathchill in your spec?
Maybe I'm wrong about this, and I haven't looked at it in awhile, but isn't the spell hit cap 17%? Why would 289 be the spell hit cap then? 3% from boomkin/priest, 1% from draenei, 3% from Virulence = 10% needed from gear. 289 is close to 8% isn't it? Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Wouldn't mind a reason to drop some hit.

Looking at the new patch...Is it just me or is The Strengh version of Quel'Delar looking less appealing than its Agility ounterpart Quel'Delar?

That armor pen just seems so much more inviting than the haste, and I plugged them into Rawr and the agility one edged out the strength one...thoughts???

My gut really tells me to just go with the strength one...

Well from what I gather from the threads above, some people seem to think that using slam when it procs aint the way to go. Also WW does more damage per rage and has a longer CD so I think its supposed to be your first priority.

But the basic pointer I think you should follow is:
Take your average WW damage -> divide it by the rage cost
Take your average BT damage -> divide it by the rage cost
Take your average HS damage -> divide it by the rage cost
Take your average Cleave damage -> divide it by the rage cost
Take your average Slam damage -> divide it by the rage cost
Take your average Execute damage -> divide it by the rage cost

You can use recount and hit a dummy for a few minutes (or see the record of a recent raid you did)

Now see which ability does the most damage for the rage points it uses. Naturally if you have rage for all, you should use the one which provides the most damage for each rage point you spend. Also, since WW and BT have cooldowns, and instant slam can proc at any second, you should prioritize your WW and BT to be on CD before you use your slam, since the slam will be there even after your BT and WW (if you're fast enough, always use it right before it ends though i guess?) but if you use your slam first and then BT & WW, you might have to wait for a full duration of BT CD before you get a new slam proc, practically wasting 4-1.5 seconds worth of GCD:s (ofcourse you can use them to apply sunders, throw your weapon, pop recklessness/DW whatever) so you really have to adjust on when you use your abilities in the end. But a wasted proc is always a wasted proc, so if you got less than 1.5 seconds left on your Slam! then smash it before going to BT/WW.

Final rotation would look like this i guess:

WW (Or Slam if Slam! duration is less than 1.5 seconds)
BT (Drop BT if your cleave does more damage against multiple targets than your BT does against one)
Slam (If you have slam!)
HS (If you have enough rage to pop WW/BT when they come off cd even if you HS at this point) or Cleave (If there are more than 2 mobs but your cleave does less damage than BT and more damage than HS :P)
Waste-GCD's (Heroic Throw, DW, Recklessness etc.)

Hello i have one question.

What is now the best way for feral kitty?(exactly i mean for TOC25 raiding)

hard arpen cap (75%)

or

soft arpen cap + proc trinket (52% + mjolnir/grim toll)

i have almost bis from toc10/25 hm and 75% arpen have without trinket from toc5

I think that hard cap is better for TOC25 cause .. many change position, change targets

for example
1, boss - second phase 2 worms
2, boss - portals,volcanos ..
4, boss - various tactics but changing colors/targets
5. boss - mass aoe

So i mean that these reasons are expressive why is hard cap better, if i go wrong tell me why, your reasons, your experience.

Thanks a lot Nidecker eu-BB Hellfire

Now knowing that mutilate will pull ahead of combat im interested how viable is combat against other classes, is there any major changes? Should I be expecting to see my guild leader say that I need spec muti cause of crappy dps? :P

combat since always.. wouldnt want to play muti to be honest + while not beeing hardcore player I find it pretty hard to get loot for another spec im not using at the moment in pugs because there's always MS prioritity for mutis

Hello there! Long time reader, first time poster.

I've recently rushed a rogue to 80, to help our guild with ToC (we have great tanks - one being my pally - and great healers, but awfull DPS). Just got to 80, and didn't even finish ZD, meaning I can't really use quest rewards for equipment. However, I'm farming reg ToC with a few friends, and will start farming heroics.

Anyway, the question is ... I'm going combat. How should I spec my weapons? I know I should spec for the weapons I have, but let's say I have different weapons (mace/dagger, sword/mace, etc). Which one should I spec into? MH? OH? The faster? The slower? I know I should try to optimize it, but still can't really get nice weapons. And is Combat with fast daggers terrible to start?

Can arcane mages have too much haste? Or a bad balance of sp and haste?

You'll find my complete stats on the armory, but essentially it's:

(self buffed only)
sp: 2550
hit: 325
crit: 830 (30.5%)
haste: 925

Two weeks ago, I would regularely see 7K+ dps with my cookie-cutter arcane spec.

Since then I've had a few upgrades with more haste, and switched a few of my gems to the +12sp +10 haste ones.

And my DPS has gone down.

Can anyone help me understand?

This may not be the place for this but here goes.
My Priest is now level 60, with all the changes/updates to priests talent trees (havent played one in 2 years).
Is it now viable to level as disc? I know 60-70 will be relatively painful but 70+ seems to be not so bad. What are EJ's thoughts on this?

You can, but it is a waste of time. Do it as shadow and save yourself a lot of grief.

Combat dagger is awful (and you'd need to use a slow mainhand)

You should spec into the best ilvl weapons you have. But MH/MH should activate the same spec. So it's Fist/dagger, or Mace/mace, or axe-sword/axe-sword. If you don't have consistant peers, you should check with ald's spreadsheet to see what's the best option with your gear.

MH must be a slow weapon , OH must be a fast weapon , because of combat potency.

Your haste seems really high compared to your spell power. You'll have to run your toon through rawr, but in my experience I've found that once my haste gets above 800, it recommends using pure sp gems in lieu of the sp/haste gems. I would armory you and be able to give you some more insight but the character "Solstices" wasn't found on armory, but off the top of my head, it seems that you may be close to being under the GCD on AB during IV and/or BL. Just for reference for you, I have 3080 sp and only 750 haste in my raid gear and top meters. BTW, you are 115 over the hit cap assuming that you have a spriest/boomkin.
