Hey guys just a quick question on raid DPS as a whole.
I have been a warrior for 5 years and always used to being in the top 10 DPS. Since patch 3.1 though I have really noticed an increase in my own personal DPS in comparison to the raid groups. These days it is extremely uncommon for me to not be in the top 3 DPS for my guilds raids. We are the top horde guild on Aman'Thul (still not very progressed though) currently working on Algalon 25 and Anub heroic 25.
My question is: Should I be in the top 3 (if not top of the charts) dps wise consistently (granted fights like twins are made for me)? Are warriors currently overpowered? Or do the other DPS in my raids just...... suck? Usually only beaten by a DK, Rogue or sometimes Ret pally (who are all better geared than I).
Shadow priests don't use a rotation so much as a priority system, which is as follows: Vampiric Touch > DP > Mind Blast > Shadow Word: Pain > Mind Flay. Essentially, make sure you have VT, DP, and SW:P up and ticking, and use Mind Blast on cooldown. Shadow Word: Death is really only used in one of two situations: if you are in a situation where either MB or VT should be cast in ~1.5s, throw in a SW:D as filler. Otherwise, you only really use it when you're forced to more, as it's obviously better to cast something as opposed to nothing.
I've read and read and read....then practiced, practiced, practiced....hoping I wouldn't have to post but I'm at my wit's end. It may just be my suckage but 5K in TOC 25 seems to be all I can muster. I've tried Incite and its worse. I got my priorities at rend, ms, op, exc, slam.
Dummy bash at 3.6-3.7k. The right gear aside, I feel I should be doing more than this..
A dummy isnt reliable for DPS testing. When it comes to warriors, you really have to rely on environmental damage for rage almost more then anything.
On a seperate note; does anyone have any strong opinions about arms versitility in icecrown? Do you think it will be more popular then fury for maximizing on DPS?
Same boat as the others ....Read this thread (at least the 20 last pages)and should be doing way more then 5k dps on Toc25. Hell my pally with worst gear does 6k dps on Toc25 fights.
Rawr also tells me that even replacing my arp gems with str gems wont much mather. Now i have a bunch of trophys and badges and i'm thinking of replacing my T8 pieces with T9 for the 4p bonus but since slam is at the bottom of the prio list and heroic strike a rage sink i'm not to sure it will mather much.
Hello, it's my first post here, but I read EJ Paladin forums for a long long time. My question is: does range dps need concentration aura on Anub hc? I started killing Anub just 3 resets ago, we're doing 10 hc and I always wondered if Penetrating Cold or Leeching Swarm is causing pushback?
leading with DS HS HS IT PS ERW made the first minute or so of the rotation kinda rocky. had to cut out a HS to get a pestillence in a few times cuz of waiting for DS to cooldown. Anyone have any remarks of advice?
also i know my DC damage would be a little higher if I was using GoDD with the other rotation.
Did you use ERW before or after IT/PS? Your supposed too try for after, if using the GoD rotation as the ticks from ERW do add up well.
Pretty much correct, and yes, the rotation is a bit fiddly, but if u can get past that, its fairly simple, but it seems GoD only slightly pulls ahead of GoDD anyway.
Also it depends on your procs, you usualy hope that 2 or 3 of your procs, proc before IT/PS, so too keep your diseases running at maximum AP, so there is a matter of luck involved in this rotation as well.
making gold in this game is very noob thing! in LA2 the quest u need to kil 16531316516 mobs and go to 86448.64 places to get 10k adena! o.O
doing some noob daily u can get 300 gold more very esay.........
Stormrage is no longer a gdkp virgin. The first run was arranged last night with great success. Full clear in about an hour with a pot cashing out 1210g per person. Could have been a lot bigger. First factor was lack of the really tasty items. No Solace of the Fallen, no Juggernault's Vitality, no Death's Choice and no Reign of the Dead. Only one weapon pulled the really big bucks. Regardless, it was a huge success and i predict a huge amount of people signing up for the next one.
Another issue being brought up was the balancing of the raid in general. The run was had with a fairly large majority being very well geared. More carries, as in people that could potentially grab several upgrades would probably boost every item more and the pot as a consequence.
I for one am sold to the merit of the system. Works excellent. Not only the gold, but also the incentive the participants get to actually complete the run with a minimal amount of fuzz.
Seeing our T10 seems to lack spirit and with spirit being eliminated in 4.0 as a DPS caster stat, I attempted to try and simulate a 3.3 output of a 0/13/58 warlock who is specifically geared and glyphed to avoid spirit.
This means wearing gear with as low spirit as possible and using Glyph of Imp instead of Glyph of Life Tap
These are the results I seen: (forgive me if it looks a bit messy, I am not good at these things).
*note: Kaere is my character name now, I ran simcraft based on 0/13/58 build, but switched gear to a selection of iLvL 258 items with as least spirit items as possible and 2 Reign of Unliving trinkets of different ilvls.
I used the latest GUI version of simcraft and set it to patch 3.3. 10k iterations used.
kaere : 9755dps
Name Race Class Tree Level
kaere human warlock destruction 80
DPS Error Range DPR RPS-Out RPS-In Resource Waiting ApM
9755 0.0% 8.1% 29.7 328.8 243.3 mana 0.0% 42.9
Sta Int Spi SP Hit Crit Haste
Scale Factors 0.0000 0.3277 1.0087 1.5686 4.3821 0.9440 1.3905
Normalized 0.0000 0.2089 0.6431 1.0000 2.7937 0.6018 0.8865
Now the results may seem to be low, but I suspect that I simply messed up with simcraft options...
Still seeing that both builds are rather close I am curious what are your thoughts on possible inclusion of a spiritless raiding spec, I believe it gives us a way to avoid spirit and yet retain full power output.
