Will this mace be replaceable come ICC? Is it worth finishing the second half of one mace and possibly building a third one for ICC or would it be a complete waste of possible progression time?
No, 2pc T10 is not enough to make ArP better than haste. It's still going to be our worst "green" stat, but it's better than nothing. I expect we'll have a piece or two with ArP in our BiS set, because it's on a lot of ICC gear and Blizzard will itemize for the majority (Warriors and DKs) before the minority.
IMO, improved execute is easily one of the most useless talents in the fury tree. I rarely get to use execute more than 6-8 times on any given fight. So spending 2 points to save at best 40 rage per fight is a waste. Secondly, over my last 4 raids my executes have crit on average 38% of the time........far lower than any other ability. I sit at 54% crit raid buffed, and every other ability crits +50% of the time. Both slam and HS hit harder than execute does (again, for me), and considering that HS crits ~60% of the time the rage cost is far lower than execute. So sub 20% I continue my normal rotation...spamming HS the entire time and using every BS proc. I still use execute rage permitting, but it is definitely my lowest priority. Granted my low execute crit% could just be really bad RNG, but even if this were the case it still crits for less than HS. I will admit the glyph is pretty decent, but taking up a glyph spot for an ability that is just such a minor component of overall damage is silly.
On another note, I do agree that the T10 4-piece could end up being one of the best we have seen. Fitting 2 slam procs into 2 seconds is going to a significant DPS increase if used intelligently. Even though the proc duration has been increased I think these decreased GCD slams may need to be moved up in priority, though I haven't done any math on this yet.
I agree that even with good gear there are short periods when we cant spamm HS in order to keep our BT/WW rotation but nevertheless after 3-4h raiding my forefinger feels kind of numb due to almost permanent HS key spamming. I also play an Wlock/Mage and none of them has this annoying 'use me each gcd' skill. I really hope that Blizz changes this mechanik in Catalysm to something more user friendly. Personallly I would like to have some kind of Hero Mode where higher dmg would be linked to higher rage burn like shaa wrote.
I have found the easiest way to relieve my finger from feeling the negative effects of frequently spamming my heroic strike key is to bind heroic strike to mouse wheel up or down.
So lets talk poisons in combat... With the addition to Deadly Poison causing additional procs for mainhand poisons, I think combat is looking at Instant poison on its MH. Rogues who stack armor pen out of its ass might want to look into taking Improved poisons a few points and leaving something behind in relentless strikes. But rogues without high armor pen and rupturless cycles may look into Vile Poisons and using envenom over eviscerate. Combat may turn into a SnD,Rupture, envenom or even just SnD envenom rotation. Either that or they can keep it the same and try it for the best, wounding poisons can still get the extra procs from deadly poison too.
I may get an infraction for this, but I searched the thread, tried to find it, and could not. How would you model t7 2+4pc set bonuses in the new sheets? It goes t10, t8, t9. I'd like to have them, as I am still in T7 and would like to see what good upgrades are compared to my gear level, even if this just means hacking in static ep values or some such.
