At the moment, I have a passive 701 ArP mostly gemmed ArP. I have 4 piece T9, so I do have the extra 6%. Up to this point, i have been using Grim Toll and Banner of Victory. I just recently got the Needle-Encrusted Scorpion. I'm at a loss as to what I should wear and what I should do.
About the new BiS section, what about the Ashen Verdict exalted ring? I still believe its pretty weak since i don't like agi stuff, but the proc should overcome others STR ring (damn blizz for not making a str ring)? I didn't find any info about the proc rate, but the ones from Scale of Sands is on a 45 internal cd, so it should be the same, i believe!
I've taken a step back to look at our current DPS output compared to what we were pre-3.3. Obviously the "proposed" Scourge Strike spec has been destroyed, so there's no point throwing salt in the wound. So if you compare the old 17/0/54 spec to how it is currently, you can come to the following conclusions:
Death Coil: With the nerf to Unholy Blight, now does 110% damage instead of 120%. Obviously this varies based on how long UB is allowed to tick, if the add is burned down before it's duration. If it was ticking for half-duration before, it would have been +10% to DC's damage, and now it would be +5%.
Tier bonus: Our 4piece T9 bonus was effectively cut in half by the nerf. 50% less crits on diseases.
Glyph of Icy Touch: Now gives 10% increased damage instead of 10 Runic Power. This equates to about one less DC per 4 rotations, and 10% increase to IT damage.
Scourge Strike: Pre 3.3 it did 357 damage plus 10% per disease on target. Now it does 50% weapon damage plus 400 as Physical (Crittable) and 25% Shadow for each disease on target (Uncrittable). Then: 357+20% Shadow, Crittable. Now: 400+50% weapondmg Physical, Crittable + 50% Shadow, Uncrittable. Armor and ArPen now affect the Physical part.
This equates to nerfs all across the board for Unholy DPS. I haven't done any ingame testing of DPS then and now, but I'm thinking it looks like 10-25% or so single-target, everything accounted for.
Honestly, I loved the 3.2 playstyle for Unholy, and will be glad to go back to it, provided they revert at least some of the nerfs, to get our overall DPS back in line.
Has anyone else noticed a loss in DPS as arcane since 3.3 came out?
My starts at 2545 Sp 30.1% crit 459 haste and 312hit and a 56/3/12 spec...I seem to have lost almost 1,000 points of dps...Am I the only one to experience this?
I've seen this too, but it's not a dps loss that you're seeing. From what I have been gathering, several auras/effects have not been posting to the combat log. One of them is Arcane Barrage. I've seen Hot Streak and Brain Freeze mentioned as well, among several other effects from other character classes.
One side-effect is that addons like Recount will show inaccurate damage/dps values. This is what we're seeing as an apparent "dps loss."
Is it good for us warlocks?where would you put it in your table,my current trinkets are bit old(Living Flame&Dying curse)is it worth to exchange them? For example,in toc there was only one good trinket(Reign of dead ofc)and I never could get it.
Did you even read what you're saying? The combat log isn't registering procs. That has nothing to do with you then using that proc to deal damage. Recount doesn't register your DPS if you get a Missile Barrage, only if you use it to cast Arcane Missiles.
And with 312 hit as Arcane I'm pretty sure you weren't even doing 1000 dps in the first place.
