Seeing as we don't have a gear thread pertaining to specs. What's it look like for 2 piece t10 versus the 4 piece t9 for affliction specs.

3. Double-Roll system (yellow, special) is affected by #2, but since no cap, can be overcome if you have 104.8% crit
I guess the answer lies within the crit capping topic. So actually you should aim for the white hit cap (and exp cap) in order to avoid crit capping problems (depending on your crit rate obviously).

i have a question about entchants:
with t9 gear levels mongoose became stronger than berserking, so what about t10?
does berserking will become more interesting?
and what about black magic? had some discussions that it would be better than both with higher gearlevels.
anybody some ideas?

Edited:

Mongoose pulls ahead at higher haste levels due to the way haste scale.

At my current gear level berserking is still about 20ep better on main hand. (avg item level a bit above 245) Haste got an ep value of 1.9 to me at the moment.

same here with berserking higher in ep values but my prob is that newest spreadsheets do not contain bm...
so i assumed more like an answer in generell, if it COULD be stronger when reaching any levels of haste or ap?

Gearing walues

I have an issue about gearing priorities. I am the only preist raiding in my guild right now, so I of course have a holy and a disc spec and am aksed to switch back and forth often. So I'd like to know if there are good rules of thumb for stats to gear, gem and enchant for that makes it possible to use one set for both specs.
Also, while I find the T10 set bonuses relatively weak compared to the T9, do their stats and the fact that they are "easily" upgradeable (one token instead of huge amounts of emblems) make them worth picking up?

Seems like a list to go for.

I think i would personally go for the BoE belt from Saurfang: [Belt of the Blood Nova], since i'll prob be spending my first of many emblems on T10

My recommendation would be to prefer spirit over MP5 where possible. Spirit is a bit less useful than MP5 for discipline, but MP5 is far less useful than spirit for holy. Holy profits more from haste and crit than discipline, but since you will shoot for spellpower first in either case, you end up with more or less the same gear.

modified my earlier spec in accordance with the 3.3 changes, same thing in general except instead of 2/5rs and 3/3 vp it's 1/3 vp 4/5 imp poisons! similar gear setup to what i posted with before, still rockin the 2pc tier 8.

exceptional result:

World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis

this pretty much remains the go-to setup for this fight imo.

So since we are on the subject of new trinkets, what is the preliminary concensus on Deathbringers Will?
