I'd like to see a glyph for divine hymn. Something along the lines of removing the incapacitating and damage reduction effects, but reduce the cooldown significantly, to something more like a minute at the most. I'd actually be able to use the spell at that point.
what is about a cunning pet (specially for marksman) ?
Maybe a windserpent or a dragonhawk come pretty close to the nerfed cat or am i wrong with that ?
I love my set up i have the DoTimer that i absolutely love. I feel every unholy dps dk should have this. Completely moveable (i have mine next to the targets portrait) and it shows how many seconds left on your diseases. Makes redoing them and knowing when to strike so simple. Also helps your dps a lot (if you dont have a timer you may waste a scourge strike). Did a 25 man Naxx and i was able to make 4th overall dps on the ranking sheet. I was also wearing gear with defence rating on it and icebane chestguard (frost resist), so i'm pleased with this timer.
Thanks for the advice. Makes alot of sense to save mirror image for aoe mobs not to pull aggro since aggro splits. So I guess ill stop scorching after hotstreaks. I heard that Ex: If u crit ur 2nd FB for like 10k ,gain hot streak, then use pyro, the pyro ignite wouldn't register and casting scorch has enough cast time to allow FFB to land, ignite tick, and enough time for ur pyro ignite to register.
Freaking Thaddius is driving us nuts. He's such an easy boss, and yet he literally becomes unkillable on heavy raid nights. After knowing about the severe lag in the encounter back in the 40 man, one would have assumed they would fix the issue for the 25 man when they expected far more people to be doing the encounter. We've tried everything, but there doesn't seem to be much remedy other than "come back on an off-night and finish Naxx". Trying to do him on Wednesdays anymore is just asking for a kick in the nuts.
Be careful, I ran a wasp when I was raiding in Naxx and OS and melee were complaning that they couldn't see mobs or effects on the floor because of it. I was asked by an officer to switch out my pet back to my cat, which didn't sit well with me. I mainly ran the wasp because I was tired of cats in general, we do have a fair amount of feral druids who do amazing DPS which would have benefited my cat more, but I ran the wasp to save a GCD for them and to satisfy my tastes.
Well yeah, that's what happens when you use the terribad huge Northrend wasps >.> *cuddles Blacksting* Sleek and non-annoying IMO!
Really looking forward to the Wasp getting more raid use - I've started to use it now even though it's a DPS loss to do so right now but we only have 1 raiding feral and the wasp keeps the debuff up much easier with far less micromanagement
Honestly, alot of these calculations may be correct, and alot may be incorrect. One thing is for sure it's alot of headache and very confusing for most. The key factors that matter when raiding (whether it be naxx , maly or any other future tough encounters) there are some simple principals you follow and you'll be just fine.
Rotation:
1.Shield Slam
2.Revenge
3.Devistatex2 (shieldslam when S&B procs)
During endless rage encounters you must ensure you are spamming heroic strike constantly as well of course between those attacks.
On boss encounters you'll want to ensure you keep "improved" thunderclap up as often as possible to reduce your dmg taken as well as demoralizing shout. It also helps if you have herbalism for lifeblood/enraged regeneration macro as this adds extra threat and keeps you topped off in alot of situations.
During trash pulls in places like naxx you'll want to heroic throw your X and charge your skull ensuring Tclap hits all mobs in the area (improved Tclap range glyph is helpful) and using tclap at every opportunity to maintain AOE aggro. It greatly helps to put vig on your TOP dpser during trash pulls (which should absolutely always be your TOP AOE guildmate, and not a hunter cuz they can feign)
If you don't bring a pally for AOE trash pulls (DK's don't count I'm sorry :P) it helps to have a shieldblock set because it adds to your dmg shield value (which you should have in your talent tree no question there)so mobs will stay on you alot easier. Using conc blow/shockwave/and tauren AOE stun helps threat greatly too by upping your heroic strike dmg while mobs are dazed/stunned, also hitting lifeblood/frenzy regen right as u charge a pack of mobs helps.
You'll also want to raidshout to your guild to dps at "max range" if they can as this reduces their threat by 30% to remind them.
"Thee" only encounter I've seen where threat cap is a problem for warriors is malygos, and primarily only with warlocks during vortex's (because of their escape/teleport bug advantage) or spark bonus DPS. In these cases make sure you have vig on yur top dps warlock and do an intervene on him before each vortex to knock his threat down by 10%. Also remember a properly dps'd spec warlock is getting extra threat from healing himself so don't let his ego get too big cuz u see him high on threat :P
But remember, tanking as a warrior is simple, and the best way you can learn is by tanking as often as possible. I'm sure alot of the people that posted before me are accurate with their calculations but I hate to say it alot of it isn't needed. And you'll want to save your extra abilities like conc blow/heroic throw etc for situations where you'll need them. For example when tanking gluth, when it's the other tanks turn to take his aggro (cuz of his debuff) you can leave the boss and use shockwave or conc blow on the zombies to help your kiter.
Their are a few things I wanted to come on here to ask, to clarify for myself cuz I heard it's pro mages here. I've seen so many different theories about this FFB rotation and Ignite Munching with Hotstreak. And can someone thoroughly explain the mechanics to me
Rotation
1st I heard: Imp Scorch X2 -> LB -> FFB
Then LB -> Imp Scorch X2 -> FB
Also, if your mana can stand it, every 12 secs LB.
Also, with Ignite munching & Hotstreak procs. After 2 FFB Crits I heard to Cast scorch then Pyro.
Then I also read somewhere that : LB-> 2X Imp Scorch -> Combustion -> FB was wrong.:p
Also, is there a particular time to use Mirror Image? I use it every time the CD is up. Don't really have to worry about aggro to much. Only 1551 spell damage atm.
Also with 5 man hero's. On Trash scorch is a waste right? Mobs die to fast, just LB a mob and FFB spam? This is what I usually do, but just wanna see if that's most effective. You guys seem to have tested everything.
With the shaminism skill, it looks like we are finally getting a little help on the dps, but with what was saying above, it could be maybe a waste of talents points or a bug. We will have to wait and see with the next new PTR notes.
I'm getting around 3.2kdps on Patch, which is subpar IMO. The server is always laggy though, so my rotation was obviously not perfect. I've hit 3.5k dps on Patch in 10 man Naxx, no lag.
Replacing some pieces of gear is obvious, but any constructive input/advice is welcome.
I am not sure how well it works as I am still tinkering with it. I am in some epics and blues with a green trinket still. My average dps sits about 2400ish in 25 man naxx. I have provided my armory link as well. I find that the vast majority of my dps comes from HS and physical damage.
Ishatara,
What pixel font are you using? Combined with the outline, it is the first UI where a pixel font has actually looked usable for chat. However, I can see that you aren't using the old Visitor font standby (turns out visitor is caps-only!) dafont.com has 48 pages of pixel fonts, so needle in a haystack and all that.
You are missing my point about the gear scaling differently for different classes. That was all I was trying to put forward. Not trying to get mixed up over whether is was pre s1 or mid s1 to mid s2.
Of course my post didn't offer much more than "lol l2p" The post it was replying to didn't really have anything other than "qq nerf rogues eyonix".
Reducing damage while stunned is the same thing as removing them. Why would anyone use a stun offensively if it is going to decrease their damage, they may aswell leave it as a secondary CC or to lock someone down. Do you or anyone else lobbying for a stun nerf really want to see what rogues and paladins get to replace stuns? I sure as hell don't.
As for defending my class. Its not my class, but it is a class that adds a very "cool" aspect to the game. Azeroth without rogues would be like world of age of mythology with a LOTR spin on it. Besides, someone needs to stick up to the nicely said 'qq' you guys are spinning up in this thread. As soon as you guys come up with a realistic and fair solution to stuns I'll remove that comment. The only thing being said here is "Nerf Rogues" And I'm quite tired of it. Enjoy the thread. I'll enjoy my ban/infraction. high five, have fun hfhf.
All 25 man gear i have now, wasn't in that fight, but i agree, i did mess up alot, I'll switch back to the Omen of Ruin and just donate a shard for taking the TM, thanks about the advice on BS.
Oh wow, you are on my server. If you wanna chat just add Luch(alt161 for the correct i)n to your friends. I should be on tonight.
EDIT: I just realised you are in Hordie's new guild. Do you have access to our forums?
with more of my gear shifting towards plate as i've been gearing up i've been wondering if going 10/32/29 might be worth it over 32/39 i was one of you amazing math crunchers might be able to answer that question, with less of a dependancy on gargoyle i was thinking Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
this would be with more than likely with a slow/fast setup.
Tooltip has been fixed in today build so it reduces CD by 2.5sec.
Storm, Earth and Fire now Reduces the cooldown of your Chain Lightning spell by 0.75/1.5/2.5 sec (Up from 0.5/1.5/1.5 sec), your Earth Shock and Wind Shock range is increased by 5 yards and the periodic damage done by your Flame Shock is increased by 60%.
I'm still experiencing the immolate bug. I know one of the other affliction locks in our guild has problems with it as well. I can't figure out what exactly causes it, but it might be that the new one hits just as the last tick was about to tick. Has anyone tested this on the PTR?
You know, I had thought the immolate bug was fixed. I did not experience it for about 2 weeks.
I noticed in the raid last night, that quite often my immolate was not on the mob.
Considering I'm hit capped, I guess the bug might actually be back.
Thx. I just wondered about the much armor penetration on T7 and random drops.. it would have been around 15% ignore on Steady Shot... 21% if you go for 16ArP gems.
