Just curious if the Rawr is updated with the new information on Bryntoll. Seeing as it is listed as BIS for UH on the thread and listed fairly far down the list on Rawr. Was just curious if that could be updated or not =)

Considering Stam, Int, and SP are on every piece of gear, and while having to reach a mininum of 10% hit, the variable stats are spirit, crit and haste. Since haste is so good, the optimal way to gear is to have haste on every piece of gear. The options on gear then are haste/hit, haste/crit or haste/spirit. Haste/crit pieces are superior to haste/spirit after you reach the hit cap with haste/hit pices.

So unless I'm missing something, we're going to have to gear with suboptimal stats because we reach the GCD cap so easily with ICC gear.
The more you gain of any stat the more all other stats become worth. This is why scale factors should always be taken with gains of salt, they might not be accurate for your gear, spec, playstyle, latency, raidbuffs, etc.

If you really want to make a BiS list, what you should do is create a BiS list, then generate new scale factors, use those scale factors to create a new BiS list, and again, and again, until your BiS list generates the same scale factors as the scale factors used to compile your BiS list.

Also it is wrong to just say "well this stat is better so ill ignore the other stat", the correct question is not which stat is on gear, the correct question is how much of that stat is on the gear and how much DPS the piece will generate with all stats gathered together.

The mind is like a parachute. It works best when it's open.

Yes, have noticed that.

Excluding Arthas loot, the best non-tier piece to use for ICC is the Gloves (highest overall DPS boost by using the 277 version of Aldriana's Gloves of Secrecy). That being said, the Chest is a close second, and it may be a better option to pick up the Sack of Wonder either initially (for the hit/expertise which you'll shed from a majority of your other gear) or long-term (if you'll use it for both tanking and DPSing).

O think speccing those untouched "spell absorption" talents will come up. I love to look at how pretty they are and valk twins is first time I've heard one mentioned (like tanks never needed to spec for valk twins was issue). I needs to take less magic damage according to my parry or something. Well at least if stacking resists/or speccing different would be a vialbe thought.

I don't believe there's enough magic damage floating around so far to make a decent guess. Deathwhisper is about it for a heavy-magic fight so far, and I would consider her tank magic damage output to be negligible on normal, and the adds... Eh.

Note that I say this as a fervent fan of Spell Deflection, despite it not really being "optimal". I just haven't seen it go off worth a damn so far in ICC, or go off on anything I give a shit about. I would imagine we'll see a decent bit more magic damage as wings unlock, but whether it'll really be worth the points, I haven't seen much good data on. I'll keep it simply due to laziness, not wishing to respec, and my irrational love for the times it DOES go off.

I'd get more expertise, it should be a noticable difference.
Also, considering the gear level you're in at the moment, i would get rid of the brewfest trinket and replace it with greatness agility card. Your agi seems pretty low, 1150.
Get rid of the 110ap enchant on your weapon and get mongoose!
Your crit is only 12.77% that makes a pretty big difference for threat as well as mitigation.

low dps?

Hey there,

I currently have some DPS problems and I really don't know what I'm doing wrong. My char: The World of Warcraft Armory. I'm using SoV on bosses with following FCFS "rotation": Judge > ds > crusader > HoW > Cons > Exo > HW

Don't know if it's my gear, my rotation or if I'm just awesomely bad, any tips on what I'm doing wrong?

EDIT: my dmg report on saurfang 10-man

Thanks!

Manacost per shot is also a factor since the use of more expensive shots may mean more time spent in AotViper. Note that Arcane Shot and Explosive Shot share a CD and therefor Arcane Shot should never be used in a SV Hunter rotation.

A SV Rotation revolves around the following priority list:

1. Kill Shot
2. Explosive Shot
3. Black Arrow
4. Aimed/Multi-Shot
5. Serpent Sting
6. Steady Shot

Note that Kill Shot is now on the GCD and can thus no longer be simply macroed to all your other shots to ensure maximum usage!
You can use Faceroller : WoWInterface Downloads : Beta-version AddOns if you have problems with the rota.

I'm so tired of going through all these useless posts.
Someone intelligent needs to revive these forums and keep them up to date. You get my vote.
Heh, I'd thought about doing some sort of guide or somesuch like I eventually did for Moonkin. Haven't thought in much detail about what one for a non-DPS class would contain though; it's a lot less clear-cut. Maybe I'll look into it more after some of the 3.3 changes settle out a bit more.

Hi,

My classleader has told me that arp is a more effective stat for mm hunters than agi, though my simulation in rawr stated otherwise. Prioritising arp over agi (changed my gems) leads to a serious loss of dps.
So my question is in which scenario is arp to be taken over agi? Does it make sense to use arp gems without the trinket?

If your gear has over 800 ArP (w/o gems or a trinket proc) arp is going to be better than agi. But this is not really accurate so use the sheet.

It is not possible to effectively analyze the major factors that may result in lower than expected DPS through a Recount screen shot, specifically rotation, latency, and buffs. However here are several steps to help improve your performance in raids.

1. Even for a veteran Paladin, a rotation assist mod (once properly configured) such as CLCRet can result in more consistent and even higher DPS.
2. High latency will result in lower than expected DPS. Make sure nothing is running in the background while you're raiding. I would also recommend Leatrix Latency Fix.
3. You are an Engineer, but you are not taking advantage of the profession perks. Use Hyperspeed Accelerators, Nitro Boots, and Flexweave Underlay! These all provide a DPS boost over your current enchants.
4. The STR version of Darkmoon Greatness is a huge DPS upgrade for Retribution. Start saving up.
5. You are 154 hit rating over the melee hit cap, and slightly over the expertise cap. Look for upgrades that do not have hit or expertise.
