It has been some time since I have been healing on Freya. That said, I do not see how Mind sear helps your hp/s here. Firstly, if you get locked out by tremor, you have been careless. In that case, you would also have missed casting Mind sear in time. Secondly, if Freya poses any challenge, it's Freya+3. In that case why not use Holy Nova, Renew, PoM, or CoH instead of wasting a GcD and around 1000 mana for a noncritting flash of light?

My personal guess is that your healing total has increased just because you have been paying more attention in order to do your tests.

I also have an old warlock I don't play a ton. I'd like to try affliction and also want the post on rotation, spec and glyph info. for 3.3

First off, I have an 80 rogue that I'm trying to up my dps. Using assassination, I do upward to 2K dps. Taking the talent spread and rotations from the site will help improve that as I get better gear.

Now then...Combat, s the bane of my existence. I can't seem to get this spec to bring the dps and functionality that I know it can do. For example: dps & interrupts, I'm often being asked to help interrupt a raid boss, but even with improved kick, I only managed to get 2 interrupts to land >.< . I've tried several rotations that I've worked up on my own, but I'm not really happy with them. I know everyone plays differently, but still I'd appreciate a rotation to fiddle with that makes optimum . I know this spec can bring good dps...I'm just having trouble knowing the /how/ to do that.

I really appreciate y'all's time, this is my first toon and I never messed with the science of the classes until now. It's quite interesing =). I hope this wasn't /too/ long, brief is not in my vocabulary =D. Final note: I really appreciate any answers to these. Thanks =).

Stats - I'm reading here that AP is the most important stat to stack. Well I did that once and it wasn't until I re-gemmed and switched to agi/hit/crit (not in that order) that my dps went from 1K to 2K. So...what's the deal here? I read one site that linked to y'all (Parry! Dogde! Spin!), which said that hit, AP, haste, agi, expertise, and then crit is the best order to work rogue stats. Honestly...I'm not sure what to do - I'm leaning more to the latter stat suggestion but I'm not sure the deal with all that AP. I was under the impression that agi was the best since it stacked with kings, whereas AP does not. With 1 Agi = 1 AP, it seems to make more sense to do agi since I do a lot of my dungeons/raids/dailies with a pally. So the question...

Caps - I have /no/ clue what the caps for any of the stats out there. How do I find this out? I don't want to use a gem for say...hit rating when I'm already at the cap for that stat.

These spread sheets are built with the idea that principle benchmarks are already met on your toon.

For instance, the EP weight of Hit changes as you meet the Special ability hit cap, and the poison (spell) hit cap. Same thing for expertise. This spread sheet was built for raiders with already decent gear that are knowledgeable of these caps and are either already meeting them, or making them a priority and achieving them before worrying about optimizing other stats.

An example of this that is very simple is that EP weight of Expertise is always the highest, but the spread sheet will never tell you to gem for it. The spreadsheet assumes that you will gem/enchant to the expertise cap yourself after which point expertise is worthless.

I'm wondering about my enhance shaman, he has 6.5 percent exp. and 494 melee hit. RAWR wants me to go straight haste, I always thought it was attack power. Did something change or should I try for haste now? Or maybe even a hybrid of haste and attack power?

First off, read This topic for the general idea behind builds if you havent already, which your glyph choice suggests.

Second, just looking through your armory profile -
Gemming. This should be one of following: 40AP / 20ArP / 20Agi in almost all sockets, if you have a blue socket - use Nightmare Tear [+10all] but use only one gem of blue colour. Everything else - red gems, plus occasional yellow filled with 10Agi/10Haste gems.
Meta gem is of course 21Agi/3% increased crit dmg.

Change your cloak and Hemmorhaging Circle for the Valor badge ones, it's probably the easiest upgrade for you to gain.
Additionally you're way above the expertise cap - which is 24, anything above this equals 0dps gain.

If you're sent to interrupting energy you'll have to "pool" energy, meaning:
You will have to wait for some of the energy to stack up and use a appropriate skill before the energy reaches roughly 60. If you will just spam the [for example] SS button, you will nearly never have the energy to interrupt.

Finally:
Never, ever, ever use a Slow MH/Slow OH weapon as combat, it's better to find something with lower dps but of 1.6 speed for example.
There's a couple reasons behind this, the easiest one to explain is how Combat Potency works, you want it to proc as often as it's possible. Additionally faster OH will stack it's poison faster and since you should be using IP/DP combination - by improving the OH poison proc rate, you increase the MH proc rate.

Hey, a few rogues in my guild have recently been switching their OH enchant from Berserking to Black Magic, because it will proc off of poisons.
Has anyone tested this out much so we would know if its a upgrade or no? =)
