Why has the community discarded FBN as a move suggester for Feral druid?

I use it and produce 5-6k dps

I have been readint he Ovale thread but what does FBN lack that Ovale has?

Unless you're moving, even spontaneously generating Surge of Light procs is a decrease in HPS, since surge of light flash heal can't crit and takes the same amount of time as a normal flash heal. Spending extra time to mind sear will only decrease your HPS further. If you want to get high effective healing on Freya and save the raid from ground tremor at the same time, spec discipline and bubble-spam the raid.

When the mob has more then 35% hp will I lose DPS if I do not switch to Incinerate when MC procs? If so, how much? I tried to work with Simcraft but couldn't figure that out.

Are you sure about this? I haven't looked into it myself, but that may be where some of the bug may be. But in eiher case, this should not happen either, according to the GM I spoke to.
But why doesn't the retribution spell Heart of the Crusader, proc this also? They work from the same spell, both provides a debuff etc.
In any case, JotJ does not explain why the cleave is proccing from ShoR, as this should not proc it either

Fenz I just ran a quick Simcraft with and without Incinerate. The loss was 2.7% DPS.

Hey everyone; first post. I’m not sure if the following questions are considered handholding (I read all 24 pages in this thread and most are, understandably, prior to the last few patches and few deal with chants/gems…trying to do my homework, I swear, you all just scare me)

The “need to know” stems off of my following dilemmas:

I’m having a tough time finding recent hunter PvP info. online; I’ve tried to do my homework and maybe I’m just not finding good sites. I’ve done a tiny bit of 2v2 and 3v3 and I’m hoping to do more now that the holiday rush is over.

I’m trying to decide how to chant my 232 helm and chest. I’ve been told crit isn’t that important in PvP b/c due to resilience you hit less and therefore crit less often (I was also told to go for burst options but read here from a 2008 post we’re not considered burst in arena). I’m also not sure what my resilience should be at. The armory link probably won’t be helpful as both of my specs are currently raiding specs; trying out MM so I respecced out of PvP. Probably returning to Surv. as a PvP spec.

-My resilience is 915 without the two pieces chanted.
-Stats w/o the chants: ap is 4088, agility is 1225, crit is 36.59%, stamina is 1831. (my PvE crit is approx. 49%, another reason I’m not sure what to do).
-I’ve gemmed for the spell pen. soft cap of 75.
-I have the Frosthide chant on my 251 legs.
-I have one crit gem, in 226 boots, which also gives me a res. bonus.

1) Should I go for the res. chant on the chest or +10 to stats?

2) Additionally, should I go with an agility gem in the red socket and in the yellow an agility/crit hybrid for the resilience bonus and crit, or should I ignore the socket bonus/crit and put in two agility gems?

3) For the helm should I put the PvE or PvP chant on? Again, not sure about res. and. crit.

4) What, if any, important does hit have? My hit is 70; I was told hit doesn’t matter in PvP and I read mixed info on it; 5% seems to be the most consistent answer.

Or….should I not even bother with the new season coming out? I’m not sure what the new vendor gear level will be and I don’t know how quickly I’ll be able to get arena points/gear. All of my core pieces are 232 or 251. I have a 245 neck. All of my other accessories are 226, except for my trinkets which are 213.

1) I understand how IMotH can be questionable if you have standard raid groups, but I tend to only do PUG's and never know if there will be another hunter or not. Wouldn't the increase in attack power be worth it from a sheer DPS point of view, especially if there are other hunters in the group or raid? I understand it would be over kill if both had it, but you never know who will or won't.
2) I get the idea of a shot rotation, and this may be a very stupid question, but I keep assuming it means use shot, A, then B, then C, etc... is everyone actually talking about a macro where the shots are lined up in that order? If so, can they share the macro, I have only gotten into very basic macro's so far.

where can i see when the crit cap thing cells turns red??? how do i know when im crit and expertice cap
