SoV's seal proc will not trigger on Judgement at any time as Retribution. I believe Protection may have a different mechanic due to Judgements of the Just.

I'm sorry if this was previously said, but I was currently reading through the last few pages about the discussion of haste/mp5 for Holy Paladins.

Right now a lot of my gear has a big mix of mp5, haste, and crit on it. Normally I've been going for pieces that would have huge amounts of both, critical and haste rating, however after reading this thread, I feel like I might be doing something wrong.

How would these three attributes be put into order from most desired to least? Would it be Haste, Mp5, Crit? or something else? Personally I haven't really gone for any sort of mail healing gear which usually contains a lot of haste/mp5, and have just been going for pure plate healing gear, with the aforementioned above stats on it (haste and crit). Right now I have my tier10 helm, and am going for shoulders next, upgrading them with marks asap. Is this the right idea? Should I shoot for some un-tiered plate/mail gear with mp5 and haste on it over any other attribute combination?

now my question (i'm quite sure its already answered somewhere, but i cant find it and dont wanna browse thousands of pages :/ ):

i just reached the soft defcap of 540 without the stoneskin gargoyle runeforging.
should i still tank with it?
or use swordshattering?
or even fallen crusader?

its +1% dodge +1% parry +1% less crits eaten +2% stam vs +4% parry (but diminuishing returns) vs +threat.

imo i would still use stoneskin gargoyle, but a lot of "guides" advise to use swordshattering if defcapped.
hows your opinion/experiences?

They're about equal. Stoneskin gives you 3% avoidance and 2% stam, Swordshattering gives 4% avoidance. Personally I prefer SSG for the extra EH but to each their own.

I dont use the sims because i dont trust them for one (blizz has been against them for awhile, last i looked. boss fight is only way to test real data.) and that makes the game too much like work. Im not @nal about every 1point of dps. I just want my stats ball-park where they should be then itemize from there based on MY play style. I shouldnt have to use an external program to get the most out of wow.

And I have the Frost in OH cause Lava lash uses 100% OH weap dmg so I put the highest dmg weapon in my OH. May not be best dps to ppl who sim stuff for hours on end but makes sense to me so thats how I roll.

SSG over swordshattering any day.1% avoidance does not ever win over 2% stamina, altough 4% parry gives you slightly more threat than 1% dodge/ parry / miss

Windfury also uses your Weapon Damage, as its generally 14-17% of our damage vs Lava Lash's 2-4% I'd put it in the Main Hand. Taking 3min to Sim it will show this change to be a positive dps increase.

Trying frost for PvE. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

My question is:

When FoF procs, am I supposed to go for 1 frostbolt, then a second quickly followed by Deep freeze if it is ready; I read that they fixed ghosting ice lances in on that second FoF, is that true? If so, when am I using ice lance if at all on a boss? If I am not using it at all I probably should glyph molten armor. If ice lance is indeed dead on boss mobs, the point in spell impact should go into TtW.

The usefulness of the sim shouldn't be underestimated. Many posts people have found it to be fairly accurate with the most recent having Rouncer matching it against one of his actaul combat log parses in post 472 of this thread:

(On a side note I've found the sim to fairly accurately reflect my own boss parses as well).
