Thanks for all the replies guys, made my mind at ease.
I might have missed this a few pages ago, but could someone please explain the crit cap to me? I'm currently crit capped according to landsoul's spreadsheet, so wondering if I should make the jump to 10 str 10 haste.
TO BE FAIR: Their logic is essentially that the higher DPS/damage of the claymore (in addition to the raw gain in STR and crit) would make up for the loss of anything else. Equally, I also have [Ramaladni's Blade of Culling] and they are implying the same logic. Essentially, "anything" is better than what I have now. I realize the logic is not infallible, I just presume that there is some sense in a straight ilevel upgrade.
I'm 4pc T9 (245) UH with approximately 275 hit and 14 expertise.
I'm really thinking that the approx. 3.5% loss on BOTH ArP and Haste that would occur when going from Beheader to CEC would end up in a net DPS loss though I'm curious if I should be holding so much value toward 3.5% haste/ArP (each) as the stats appear a little bit lower in the table.
If I were to equip that weapon... something I view as a largely tank oriented weapon... I'd end up with something like 370~ hit. I suppose being UH, that's not so bad for my SS... it just really seems there is such a gap between ToC 25 (Dual Bladed Butcher) and then ICC 25 (Bryntoll).
First time poster but I believe I'm having an RNG or a crit bugg during raids. Destro specced, running with two other locks full time in the raid with a good comp, rotation is solid but I am having a crit issue on my spells that none of the other locks are having. I think I'm sitting around 33.13% crit fully raid buffed, yet as I have been watching recount lately on bosses and rechecking on WoL i'm only critting half the time, sometimes barely at all. Sadly this is happening a lot? Not sure if something's going on, my ticket with blizz did nothing, and I couldn't find anything forum-related about it. It's only been happening for the last two-three weeks or so. My biggest non-crit spell is my Incinerate, running as a 0/13/58 destro. Even on heroic twins 25 man I was putting out like 7.6k dps critting about 1/6 spells.
Although perhaps not the reason for your "crit" issue, I once had a similar issue w/ my crit percentages. I'm assuming you're running at least a 2 piece tier 9 set bonus, which relies on your pet to increase your crit chances.
The issue I was having was caused because my attack/passive pet buttons were attached to my up/down scroll wheel on my mouse. I would constantly scroll forward while in my rotation, interrupting my pet (imp), while in destro, during his own casting, impacting my increased crit chances. After only sending an initial command for my pet to attack on a single target.
I have posted here before about my damage that is being taken... No one really had a solution so I assumed my gear was a little obsolete. Now I have decent gear and still healers are complaining that I am taking a lot more damage than I am suppose to be. If someone could please check me and see whats going wrong (The World of Warcraft Armory) and let me know if there is flaw in my gear or what. Also are there any known bugs with dual specialization etc. Or heck is it our class that takes a lot more dmg in general? Please help
Is it worth buying Epaulets of the Fateful Accord instead Malfurion's Spaulders of Conquest ? Since i loose the Set bonus. (4) Set: Your Rejuvenation ability now has a chance for its healing to be critical strikes.
I dont know what i thinking abt this .. i dont know how to start even with this. Why when i was in combat arp with sux toc10/25 weapons i maked the same dps as i making being in hns(hack and slash) combat with ap gems and good icc25 weapons now. Ppl saying that hns is better with arp now than with ap.
Yes .. i'm a newbie so u can blame me for "flame" but i trying understand this how its possible and how this work. Maybe i have wrong strat (5cp, snd, cd's, evi, evi, 5cp, snd, evi, evi ....) or i should invest gems with haste or hr ??
I tried to read this class board cuz i'm first time here but there's moar stuff that i cant understand so mostly i basing on friends and random ppl on my realm.
hey hey. I got a simple question.
Anyone think about this Trinket : Tiny Abomination in a Jar - Items - Sigrie
it's look nice, but dont know how to calculate it's EP values, is that better than Death's Choice or Deathbringer Will?
We've been maximizing our DPS in terms of the stats give us with or without the two-piece and four-piece T10 bonus. I have yet seen anyone post anything about including two-piece T10 and two-piece T9 for a stronger rotation. I don't have the tools to support my argument for two T10 and two T9 for BiS gear, but if we don't want to screw with our rotation, then it'd make common sense to keep two T9 pieces for our Flame Shock to last 9 seconds longer to go with our two-piece T10 set bonus.
Right, Because most players that don’t/can't do their own math often have access to Heroic Mode BiS gear...
Every other class, every other spec loves having Pawn values to determine how much of a gear is an upgrade, what gear they should target as an upgrade. People like knowing without a doubt that a piece of gear is an upgrade, and they like to be able to quantify how much of an upgrade it is. This doesn’t just help people feel good about themselves, it also helps prioritize upgrades (in the case of badge loot).
The masses are the literally thousands of people who check EJ daily while researching their class and spec. Most of them do no post, they simply read. They come here checking for sound, free advice for talent, play style, and stat weight questions. The comment was not directed necessarily to any poster here on EJ, but rather to those that do not post. While the disparity between the top guilds and your average WoW player isnt as bad as it was in Vanilla WoW or BC, most people who read these forums do not have access to BiS gear. While these forums are designed for End Game content, it isn’t unreasonable to post also with more casual players in mind.

Silly thing to say. Concrete example. The Haste cap is a goal to shoot for, not a prerequisite for anything. Another silly example; Amassing a 800-900+ haste set with ToGC available gear. Surely the opportunity cost to do such a thing outweighs the stats in Regen, Spell Power, and Crit that you are giving up. I believe the numbers I've posted earlier back this up.
My guild want to see that im doing more healing.
I do too much flashheals on a boss fight and so my HOT's are to low.
But if only a tank gets dmg, why should i use circle of healer OR prayer of healing?
Of is that not the way too think??
