since 12 spellpower + 10 haste, is better then 20 haste itself, but worse then 23 spellpower :

red socket = 23 spellpower
yellow socket =12 spellpower + 10 haste

Jc sockets/belt = 23 spellpower

and go for whatever trinket offers the highest spellpower

I've recently started using rawr and I am finding some odd results with different combinations. For some reason it tells me that I stand to gain higher dps from using Disguise of the Kumiho over Furious Gladiator's Cloak of Subjugation--this makes no sense to me since the pvp cloak has more spell power and more haste than the valor emblem cloak.
The only weaknesses of the pvp cloak as I see it is a lack of spirit and slightly less int.

Is rawr simply bugged here or is the 37 spirit that important?

That comparison is 1 haste and 8 spellpower (pvp cloak) vs 37 * 1.1 * .7 = 28.49 crit (molten armor) and some mana regen. Crit may be the worst itemized stat but it is far from useless.

I'm new to the forums, and had a couple of quick questions for the Fury DPS community here. I figured you guys would be the best folks to ask!

1) Armor Penetration vs. Strength - I have heard of Fury Warriors gemming almost entirely for Armor Penetration as opposed to Strength. I currently have the scorpion trinket that procs a ton of ArPen, but only occasionally. My current passive ArPen is at 711, or just a shade under 50 percent. Does anyone have any opinions about whether gemming for ArPen is worthwhile? If so, when does ArPen become more valuable than Strength and the attack power one gets from stacking it?

2) Hit Rating - I recently had a rare (and random) opportunity to run ICC with a Fury Warrior who was, for all intents and purposes, about as closely geared as I was, and yet his DPS outdid mine by nearly 500 points per fight. I spoke with him at length about his stats, rotation, etc, and we were very near identical save for one stat - hit rating. His was higher than mine by about 70 or so points (I am -just- above the soft-cap at 8 percent with 3 points in precision). Was he just getting lucky, was he a more knowledgeable player, or was his increased hit rating contributing to more DPS due to a higher amount of white melee damage?

I am certain that these questions were likely addressed and answered in the vast depths of this topic already, but I wouldn't know where to look. If anyone has the time or the wherewithal to answer these questions for me, I would be most grateful.

Sorry if this post is abit off the topic. However I am currently looking for a info post more or less about stats that rather simply shows whats the most benefical stats are spirit or int? Crit or Haste? Whats the Hit cap? along with some sort of report what proffs are the best taking into to bring once DPS to the max. There is one on the rogue forum but i cant find one here. If i missed it in some strange way i would love if someone could link it for me. Simply said im looking for a pocket guide for Elemental shamans for wotlk that keeps it self rather updated. Thanks for any help given!

Regardless about the enjoyability of the spec, we're talking about damage done, and unfortunately as it stands, Unholy is better than Frost. So unless your guild needs a 20% haste buff, then you're better off going unholy.

Hello I had a shadowpriest question my brother is fairly new to raiding with his shadowpriest he has decent gear about a 4900 gearscore rating and does good on aoe pulls but he is still only pulling 3k dps on boss fights. i have had him read this forum and try the rotation but maybe him or myself is missing something. His name is Rotman he is in the same guild as the DK in my avatar if you need to inspect before answering my question. Could someone tell me the best single boss rotation for his toon?

can anyone come up with a macro for Furious Howl.
i only want my pet cast Furious Howl. not attack my current target.
So if my pet stands left to me on passiv i dont want it to attack if it attacks target a and i am attacking target b it should stay on target a.
