Sorry, this is my first time posting so I hope I am not being too much of a noob, but I am one of those long standing lovers of dual wielding frost DPS. Up until recently I have been rocking the 0/54/17 build, which I have to admit was pretty solid dps, but I decided to hit up the 15/54/2 build, and I really like the increases AP and the Crit, but I am curious about the spell hit cap as well as the Improved Icy Talons proc rating.

So here goes, Question #1, the Noob post, should I be shooting for 12% hit rating dual wielding with only two points in Virulence? I think so, but I am not sure based on what I am reading in this forum.

Question #2 Without the lovely Epidemic Rating, I am finding myself having to use the IT abitily far more. So if I am correct in asking this, does not the proc of IIT increase, making it so that is pretty much constanly up on the raid? And with that though it mind would then the Glyph on IT not be rather important as increasing the damage of the IT as much as possible?

Okay this is purely a speculating question, but when you all are working on a test dumby, are you taking the time to factor in the 12% reduction of Frost Strike, Holwing Blast, and Obliterate, if the dumby is below 35% health? I have been constantly beating on the dumbies, and I put up about 4k sustained as blood and 4.2k sustained as Frost, so I thought to myself Frost is the way to go, however when I put all the data into a spread sheet and reduced the damage of those three abilbities by 12% and then took 65% of that number and added it to 35% of the uneddited numbers i figured my sustained as frost to actually be 3.9K. Just food for thought. Hope yall can follow that ranting.

been reading tru this tread a while and am pondering if anyone could give a list of pet's for the bosses, you all mention turtles gorillas and warps and bears a few times but i would think some migth have an advantage on some bosses over others.

personally i love my bear swipe is a nice feature for solo farming but that is on regular mobs and a few normal underbog

also are crabs at any point a usefull thing or is it turtles all the way

migth have missed one or two posts reading but i really didnt see any pet listings

oh and thanks for a wonderfull discussion been a reader for ages EJ has help me a lot in the past with improving my game /love

I read a lot of post today and all of us talks about ABSpam34MBAM , ABSpam234MBAM, ABSpam24MBAM...

Can someone made me a quick explanation of what the 34, 234, 24 means? Ty and sorry for the noob question ^^

a Question ive read in the faq:

Q: Which dagger goes MH?
A: The higher-DPS one. If they're of equal DPS, the fast one. If they're the same DPS and the same speed, it doesn't really matter.

Q: Wait, what? The fast one?
A: Yep. Basically, the extra poison procs you gain just barely outweigh the loss of Mutilate damage. See this post for numbers.

is this actual for the newest update?

i mean if i got a 1,8 speed weapon or 1,4 the proc rate was fixed with 3.3 or not?
i mean 1,8speed for mh means more muti dmg, or is that wrong?

ABSpam34MBAM means spam Arcane Blast 'til you get a Missile Barrage proc, and if your AB stack is 3 or 4 use up the proc (Arcane Missiles). 234 would mean if you have 2, 3, or 4 stacks, 24 is 2 or 4 stacks.

I´ve tested Ovale today the first time. I still use the old Feral by Night and just wanna test Ovale. I don´t know what is wrong with Ovale but the 10 minute test on boss dummy says:

Feral by Night: 5084dps
Ovale: 4407dps

What is wrong with Ovale that it is that bad? I have done the test on dummy again but it ist still something around 500-600 dps bader then FBN.

Maybe you can advise me another script for Ovale to let it work better....

Hey guys I noticed that no one has mentioned the "Tyrannical Beheader" (2h axe) from POS hc. I have been needing a new weapon for ages and have carried my Ironsouls and Death's Bite around since before TOC came and therefore have decided that I need a new weapon. However I noticed that this new axe has 137 str which is a very big buff compared to ironsouls 105 str and deaths bites 101 str. Also it has a yellow socket with +4 str bonus. However I found that the great blunder with this axe is the lack of crit, meaning that if I were to dual wield the Tyrannical beheader I would drop 159 crit rating meaning a loss of 3.46% crit chance and 62 hit rating which is a loss of 1.88% hit. However, I would gain 92 haste rating over 0 and 106 ArP over 84 ArP. Of course this is excluding the gems in the axes. So to be honest I would think that these axes are most beneficial if you have atleast 35% crit with them/gemmed them to get you 35% crit. If no need to gem them for 35% crit, then for 20 str. However would one say that these axes are worse htan the current setup I have described above and I believe this aswell. Though what does everyone else think and also is it more beneficial to gem a yellow socket with 10 crit 10 str or 20 str if you are already at 35% crit, because I feel that 35% is like the point between having constant flurry and therefore more crit in a time period of one minute as opposed to no flurry. I would welcome input from others thanks

I'm sorry I am posting here, not sure where else I'm 'allowed' to. I've been tanking on my DK for a while, took a break then came back for 3.3. I've always been "healer" conscious since my main is a Resto Druid. Anyways, I've noticed that I'm incredibly "squishy" I've run many heroics, and sometimes I feel the RNG is just laughing at me. I ran CoS last night and I asked the healer if he/she was ok, he/she said that I'm a little more squishy than he/she is used to.

Hi everyone. I'm trying to improve my dps, its low compared to a lot of other ele shamans that I see and I'm seeing if I can get better. My hit is high, which I'm trying to get lower but I don't have other gear that doesn't have hit on it that is as good.

Do we still have a weighting system to stats as Affliction? ie. 1 point of Spellpower is worth 1.27, 1 point of Haste is 0.89. etc etc.

I'm sitting at about 70 Frost Emblems and wondering when and it I should break my 4t9. Gotta do some gear playing around.

Yes, Scaling factors still exist. You could download SimCraft and run your current profile for your exact scaling factors or go to the simcraft thread and read the scaling factors for the BiS ToGC gear.

how much ap do u get with a 20 agility gem then just going 40 ap i know u get crit with agil but im a mm hunter and i would just kinda like to be explained y agil is better for mm hunters i was told. also justtrying to get my dps up The World of Warcraft Armory is my armory plz hlp ty
