I don't know if this has been answered before, but I feel like my swings don't hit hard enough. I have a decent weapon -- Bryntroll, and I think my gems and enchants are in order. My trinkets are on the weaker side, but besides improving gear, what other major factors play a factor in how much each swing hits for? Thanks.

When you don't give no actual numbers is hard to tell if you actual are. Weapon damage, STR(AP) and ArP will increase the numbers you are seeing on your screen from your swings.

His hit/crit averages on white swings as well as yellow damage are much higher. Just curious if that just gets chalked up to his raid buffs/debuffs or if there is something I can specifically improve upon.

Even I with a 251 weapon is hitting harder then you.

Regarding your damage, It most likely comes down to raid buffs and you forgetting blood presence

You should be picking the pieces that are the biggest upgrade for you. You could either use the AEP values provided by Consider in the OP and calculate which pieces would be the biggest upgrade for you, or (more accurately) create your own AEP values using Kahorie's simulator and then checking which pieces would provide the biggest benefit. All five pieces of the Heroic Tier 10 are currently best in slot as not all of the loot tables have been released, so it is impossible to say which slot will have the most beneficial offset piece.

These are yours. I'd gem for socket bonus for yellow with SP/Haste that would gain you more spell power, but I'd avoid gemming that way for anything less than 7 spell power and run straight reds except for the purple spirit/sp gems to activate your meta. Simcraft has an easy GUI to use...I'd recommend downloading it and playing around with it for yourself. This will save you a lot of frustration and in game gold regemming or swapping gear around and hopefully "guessing" what the outcome will be.

for some reason, my simcraft has error when i open them therefore i can't do any testing atm. My qns is i've 2 RotD both herioc and normal version. Last night, Nevermelting Ice Crystal drop for me. Should i equip 1 RotD(herioc) + the Nevermelting Ice Crystal? I'm affliction specced.

Hi, i'm new to this forum and after looking over the last few pages i have a few questions. Has MM become the new top dps raiding spec with the addition of t10 and if so what is a good build for it and how much arp should I be trying to get without trinkets having procked. If this information is somewhere already could you please let me know as i'm still trying to find my way around the forum.

ISB/IScorch stacks with boomkin/shaman Aura.

you don't pick that up as destro because it costs 5 points for something you don't use anyways.

Most reasonable raids have a demon lock to put it up anyways, not to mention affliction is top dps by far right now.

I don't see any reason to pickup ISB as destro.

I haven't done any simcraft testing on this. But I have tested it in-game since I got this trinket about two days ago. My results: It seems that NMIC carries over the crit rating for Corruption as long as you keep it refreshed via Haunt, SB, or Drain Soul. Instead of critting 35% of the time, this has been allowing Corruption to crit about 60% of the time consistently. This makes it a very good trinket, but probably not better than RotD.

I think the optimal way to use the trinket is after SB and Haunt in your rotation. Thus:

1. Shadow Bolt
2. Haunt
3. use NMIC trinket
4. Corruption
5. UA
6. CoA
... etc.

This also allows you to use the trinket again 3 minutes into the fight, in case you slip up and Corruption falls off the target.

It's not simcraft, but this might give you enough info to test for yourself and see how the trinkets compare. You can put this into the spell priority for simcraft the way I described it to get the most effectiveness out of the trinket in simcraft. My guess is, depending on how much crit you already have, RotD will win over NMIC for Affliction, and RotD would definitely be better for Destruction or Demonology. You'll probably achieve more consistent results with RotD as well.

Does anyone have Deathbringer's Will, and can clarify exactly what the hotfix has done to the procs?

•Deathbringer’s Will trinket will now proc haste as a replacement for armor penetration.

Edit: I realise we (Unholy) never had ArP as a proc anyway, so if it has been replaced by haste for all classes its the same for us anyway, I just wanted clarification from someone that it is indeed still the same for us.
