I plugged them into my spreadsheet and says DBW+WFS would be the best combo but I know I shouldn't totally trust the spreadsheet. I just wanted a second opinion on which trinket would go best with DBW, Regular DC or WFS?
I'm reading it as a 13.8 DPS decrease using Death's Choice, which doesn't make it totally obvious or an easy choice. Considering the completely different nature of the trinkets 13.8 is not a big difference. In my opinion, Death's Choice > WFS in most cases. For AoE fights (H Anub, trash) I'd pop on the WFS since volley gains more from Attack Power than Agility.
Our set bonus is still trash to me. It's pitiful that this is what Blizzard are hoping for us to accept. The Tier 9 set bonuses are far more attractive and the fact that the 4th bonus works against the 2nd is unbelievable.
As for the 4th set bonus, it's hardly a boost at all and if they really feel we need a damage upgrade to movement fights, then why don't they give us a fix somewhere other than a sodding set bonus.
And as for people saying "I will accept this bonus because now I can attack adds instantly", why would you use Lava Burst when you can use Chain Lightning on adds? And if you can use both then why not use Flame Shock on them anyway?
It's just epic fail. Surely there must be someone at Blizzard with his face under his palm at the other designers.
Ok, I will certainly try and keep corruption rolling on each fight. It certainly helps to have the boss on focus with focus dot timers so I can always see the time remaining on corruption.
As for Marrowgar, I don't usually have a problem on this fight as the bone spikes should go down fast enough for your dots not to drop off, plus during the bone storm I make use of nightfall procs and if he's not close I try and throw a haunt or shadow bolt. I also believe the initial cast of Drain Soul refreshes it, I haven't tested this but would simply casting drain soul then cancelling it be sufficient to refresh corruption?
As more and more wings of ICC open up and Emblems of Frost become more and more available, when would be a good time to purchase Libram of Three Truths?
Would it be wiser to save up for 4 pcs of T10 or just buy 2 pcs T10, the Libram, then the other 2 pcs?
I believe Libram of Valiance is still better because of the long ramp up time on Three Truths, atleast for bosses with adds, or frequent pauses between dps phases. It will be useful for situations in which you don't use SOV though so keep that in mind. Even so it shouldn't be a priority.
According to the Calculation Spreadsheet that I found on the page I shall have 8k dps..
In ICC10 on Deathbringer Saurfang I have around 6.5k dps..
My DPS rotation is;
Then it's just random, if Execute procc I'll use it instant same goes with Overpower.. If neither of em are usable and MS is on CD I'll use slam until someone of those 3 attacks are able again..
Refresh rend after last tick, always have MS on CD
And WHEN shall I use Overpower? Directly when it proccs OR ~5-6 sec left on the procc? Same goes with Execute..
Instead of Banner of Victory I can change to Victor's Call[Heroic] so I reach my expertise cap, but when im standing behind boss I still have 100% non-parry (if you guys doubt that choice of trinket)
Looking through the Loot tables at this point in time, it seems like not a lot of gear contains the haste/mp5 for which is very impeccable for holy paladins. Even most mail gear has the lack of haste/mp5 as a combination of stats, and more haste/crit and crit/mp5. So it seems that with mp5 being one, or our most throughput stat, that someone who wants to "maximize" it's potential will have to pick up a bunch of crit/mp5 (which seems to be such a bad combination).
Considering that when raiding you may have 4 or 5 more healers with you, who also will be healing all over, and considering provided raid buffs; smart healing on your part will lead to less mana loss, so trying for a good combination of mp5 and haste, followed by the amount of crit between pieces of gear is all preference of the player.
