There is nothing keeping you from switching the two, but I don't see how that would be a DPS gain, perhaps you could explain further. If anything I would think you'd always want to be DS'ing first for procs. Looking forward that switch would strictly be a DPS loss at 4-piece, as you want all your runes going on cooldown as close to together as possible.

Rotface is a pretty bad fight for DPS comparisons unless you can be sure neither person ever got unstable mutation. Additionally I have helped kiters by tossing the occasional chains, so that would further invalidate any dps comparisons.

That being said, Festergut is pretty much Patchwerk2.0 for melee, save the occasional multi spore in melee (and even then you can make the casters run).

I think I see what you mean. The difference in cast time of having to cast 2 SB's would be more than just casting one Haunt. The pure damage is higher but the duration is longer. For some reason I couldn't get over the fact that Haunt has a duration even though it only damages on the initial hit. My math was basically keeping the spells on equal terms since they were both direct damage spells.

Yeah, I cannot even go into the 3 new heroics, or ToC due to my gear, heh. Not via the tool at least. And thanks for the comment about the DPS. I know I am not the crazy uber dps cat and whatever else, and I never claim to be. I am usually extremely quiet in the group, and do the best I can. Not getting anyone killed, not screwing around, and tossing out a battle rez when the opportunity, and then just out of no where someone will pop off a comment. Almost always someone in full T9+, and usually a Pally, but not always. And yes, I get out damaged by the tank in most situations... Does that really need to be rubbed in? Sorry for venting.

Ok, I've just seen it before. They didn't change the tooltip of the talent tree in the armory (always 15 % !)... that's the reason why I asked that... I am going to check that in game.

Glad to see the return of this thread. Saved me from doing the math on taking BF as a talent again when I grab that second Tier 10 pc. =) As it goes for the drastic loss in DPS as raiding in frost, It has not been my experience. I commonly will put out 6-7k dps in raids. (approx. 5300gs) Granted Arc/FFB/etc. defintely do have the advantage in movement based fights, a well directed blink has served me well, as mana consumption is not a concern with my current build. Traditional 20/0/51build.

I have given some of these custom UI addons a try and I can just never seem to get in to them so I end up turning them off.

This seems like a lot of fun. I think I might give it a try but my only problem is that I am my guilds raid leader and I am already leading 4 raids a week so I don't have time to make another pug.
