First of all, let me mention that I bought a new computer in the end of November. My computer specs:
Intel Q6600 2.4ghz.
4096 mb ddr2 RAM.
Asus P5E mainboard
2xAsus EN8800GT
and onboard sound (yes, I know..)
4x250GB HDD (~300 gb free space)

You failed to say what OS your running, I will assume it is the 64bit xp or vista, as you have 4gb of memory and the 32bit versions don’t use more then 3gb if you are running 32bit it would be nice to invest in the 64bit version to utilize the memory you have. though this wont fix your overall problem
When recording most videos come out nicely around 30 fps, you can adjust your video settings and turning on triple buffering, lowering your distance, and texture will help maintain a more stable fps without the large spikes during aoe, or large animations.

I hate to ask what seems to be an off topic question given the posts in this thread. But I am haveing a great deal of trouble deciding on gear pieces, gems, etc and I am trying to use the dps spreadsheet mentioned in the initial post of this thread to help me out. However, I feel like I need a tutorial on the spreadsheet. How to fill it out, what the numbers mean, etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
If you armory me right now I am SL/SL spec in my pvp gear but normally raid shadow destro. I am in T4/Crafted gear and buff to about 1250-1280 shadow dmg, spell hit at 201 and crit around 21%. That gives you some idea where I am in gear progression.
Thanks in advance for any help with interpreting the spreadsheet.

Double Windfury?
I have read most of the posts here (not all, most).
I am also a enhancement shaman currently raiding T5 content.
Some of my observations:
You want double Windfury(WF).
You want to Dual Wield(DW) slow weapons.
Ideally, you don't want your Off Hand(OH) WF to proc as it has less damage than a Main Hand (MH) proc and resets the 3 second internal timer. In this manner, if your OH weapon procs and it is faster there is a chance that it will steal the cooldown from your MH from ever procing.
Here is my question:
If you don't ever want your OH to proc (in an ideal world), can a shaman not simply use a slow (2.6-2.8) MH with WF (maximum damage effect from the WF) and a fast(1.4-1.8) OH weapon with Frostbrand (a nice constant steady 321-322damage)?
I do understand that if a WF proc'ed off your OH then it would be more damage than 321-322 damage from FB... but that in turn steals the potential for the MH to proc... or am I missing something vital in this analysis?
When I attempt to use a weapon setup in line with my theory I seem to get a greater DPS than double WF.
If someone out there could set me on the straight and narrow... Thanks.

He was only released a couple monthes ago, so no, he shouldn't have been nerfed a couple monthes ago. If he was this much of a joke upon release, Sunwell would've been pretty weak overall. M'uru was great, they nerfed him too much. The best nerf they could have done is to nerf M'urus HP by a significant margin, like as high as 30% or so, thus shortening phase 1 significantly. Kept the Humanoid HP and Entropius HP the same. It would allow more guilds to see phase 2 more consistently, while keeping its difficulty the same, which would end up in more kills. Nerfing the HP of everything that is even remotely difficult to kill was a stupid nerf that wasn't well thought out.
Basically, I don't disagree that the fight needed a nerf in some way, but it should've been a more well thought out change, a flat 10% nerf to everything is a cop out.

Hi,
Currently my guild is clearing BT/MH and we had some tries on Kalecgos. Now we think he should be down this week and then it's onwards to Brutallus where you need really nice dps. There is a topic going on on my guildforum about mage specs to do most dmg.
First spec is 40/0/21 the arcane/frost spec. Imagine you take 2 mages with this spec and 1 with full frost to boost there frostbolts. These mages are only going to spam frostbolt so they don't run oom and have no mana problems on a fight like brutallus. They will also use molten armor instead of mage armor.
Second spec is 2/48/11 the deep fire build. Now you jus take 3 mages with this spec.
Third spec is 40/0/21 again but with the usage of the other rotation arcane blast x3/frostbolt until debuff wears off and without a full frost mage. Do you run oom with this spec even if you have an sp ?
My questions are
1: With what will you do the most damage ? (my guess is 3x fire)
2: Is the first spec actually an option or will that be really a lot less then the other 2 ?
3: Is the 3th option better then the 2nd?
Thx for reading.

We've just killed (or: saved) Kalecgos with a somewhat different tank-tactic and i was wondering if others have tried it as well and/or what people think of it. We used a paladin tank in partial arcane resist gear (not entirely sure how much he used) to tank the dragon the entire fight. Once the debuff stacked a bit too high, he would bubble/cancel-bubble to drop the stack and continue on. After working out some of the smaller details, he went down with about 6 hours of attempts (spread over 3 partial raidnights) behind us, so it seems like a fairly effective tactic.

CasterWeaponSwapper 2.4 (WoW 2.4.3): - Updated to accomodate 2.4.3's change, where swapping weapons cancels spellcasts:
- In combat, the mod now only swaps after instant-cast and channeled spells, which are not interrupted.
- When the mod needs to swap in combat, if it doesn't see an instant-cast spell, it will pop up a little notifier, so you can trigger the swap (and the resulting cooldown) when it's most convenient.
- To trigger the swap, you can cast any instant-cast or channeled spell, or click the button on the notifier, or use a macro that says "/cws swap", or use the keybinding available in the keybindings menu.
- The popup notifier can be moved anywhere on the screen by dragging it.
- This is a quick fix version, which I hope to refine over time. I know the popup may be a little annoying for now and that the mod may still interrupt casts out of combat; I plan to work on this.

Wow this sounds fantastic. I have to pick this new version up. I hadn't been using CWS since the patch, because I was worried about that dreaded tank death due to CWS clipping my Greater Heal or something.
This is also fantastic news for me personally because I'm the only enchanter on my server with Spellsurge

it is valuable
agreed with whomever stated that alone this talent does not prevent a wipe, but in a long fight that with lots of melee damage taken by the tank, and more importantly for rogues taking into account any sweeping strikes etc., it will benefit the healers mana conservation greatly. up against one or two mobs, in say gruul's lair, the effect would most likely pass by unnoticed.
and as for the math. when dealing with percentages you are utilizing coefficients. commutative properties apply and in no way will matter which is calculated first.

If nobody has, then that's fine.
For example: I asked a question on the WoW Rogue forums and proceeded to get the following:
- Trolled rudely about the spreadsheet
- I'm a 'lolol nub' because I recently made gear upgrades that gave me 3 blue gems while I don't yet have 15 badges to buy a Pyrestone.
- I had Slayers Boots for 2hrs so slapped a green gem in them for farming and get trolled bc I get the epic gem in the mail from the guild bank tomorrow before raid ...
- Trolled over using Imp poisons instead of Vile poisons despite it being a marginal 3dps difference the spreadsheet says. Also not considering that I'm working on M'uru currently where applying faster is more important bc of adds.
- Trolled for not knowing they had supposedly made DP benefit from Stormstrike without using up the charge. Something that is so obscure and hard to test.
Not one relevant comment Yea or Nay.
