You lose a ton of threat/damage/better IBF/Awesome trash tanking tool for 3% stamina/1 expertise and some minor threat talents. Not worth it, unless you play with low dps players and want to join them doing low dps .

I have a question. With the updated spreadsheet, I realized that out of the three daggers I have(Icefall Blade(H), Dirk of the Night Watch(H), and Steel Bladebraker), the two 1.4spd daggers are the best dps. From the pocket guide I know that the fastest dagger should have DP and the other dagger, IP. Now, in this case, with two 1.4spd daggers, am I correct in my assumption that DP should go on the MH? And, is that what Aldriana's spreadsheet automatically does?

It just rocks in ICC, you got it almost on every trashgrp and very very often on bossfights. Before you say something like this be sure to check it yourself and respecc ! i´m sure you havent!

In most cases right. But Executioneer is viable if you are going to reach the hard cap and are at 85%+. Exe is slightly better then berserking in that case. I know it becuase i am wearing EXE atm...

Hey i have a question.

Ive been running the optimizer and sim and im getting consistent results, but i still have a question. With my current upgrades in gear, expertise is almost non existent. I understand that it isn't as important as it used to be because of our GCD but is their a certain number you just shouldn't go under?

Currently, i am sitting at 22 expertise, but within this week it is going to drop to around 10 (if i equip the upgrades the optimizer is telling me to equip). Is this too low?

Haste-cooldowns for Hunters
Hello boys and girls!

My name is Scrya, and i hope you can help me with some questions concerning HASTE.
I just rerolled to a TROLL Hunter, which has the racial ability "BERSERKING", which gives 10% attackspeed for 10 seconds (3 min CD)
Well, the 2. haste ability i got, is (since i am Engineer) Hyperspeed Accelerators, which increases haste rating by 340 for 12 sec (1 min CD)
And, since we are Hunters xD, we have Rapid fire, means increased attack speed by 40% for 15 sec (3 min cd for me)

Furthermore, i am using two on proc trinkets with about 45 seconds internal CD.
So, what i am wondering is, if i should use ALL those haste cooldowns for the first trinket proc, or rather save the accelerators and racial for the 2. proc.

since my ingame testing didnt rly show any results, and i also couldnt find any topic concerning this, i hope that you guys can help me a bit

Well, expertise is the best stat and as i see the Warrior BEST IN SLOT gear SHOULD contain some expertise then...

This would probably sound like a no-brainer to most of you but I believe that I should ask it to clear doubts of insecurity away.

What's the best way to manage your cooldowns? And I don't mean fights that last for less than 3 minutes but fights that last more than 5. I've met arcane mages that pop all their cooldowns (IV+AP+trinket if any) before they cast any AB for example, and then they activate every cooldown separately as the fight goes on (AP first because it's CD is shorter then trinket then IV). But what I do is to rise my AB stacks to 4 then PoM the fourth AB and open them up. The difference is that I always wait for all my CD's to be up before I activate them (which is 2.4 mins, IV's CD). Which method would you prefer for best results on a 6 minute fight and, does it change if the fight is shorter?

Edit : I also got 2T10, thought I'd mention it if the haste buff plays a significant role on the CD burning.

@Peeon: I could go the long explanation, but instead i'll go the "short" route. It'll take you something like 115 exp rating to cap with all WM and SoA. On items, this is either going to come out of our ArP budget (which we don't want) or our crit budget.

That 115 exp rating equates to 3.5% chance to not be dodged on all attacks but OP. However, we do 1 OP every 6 seconds, which equates to about 15% of our attacks, so that 3.5% is really only a ~3% chance to not be dodged.

At first glace, it appears that expertise is superior. However, when your attack is dodged, you get the OP proc.
From my last ToC25 clear, EXE + Slam is about 17.4k (including deepwounds), that's 17.4k/3 = 5.8k dps
OP is 1 second GCD, so my dodged EXE + OP is about 11.1k (including deepwounds), that's 11.1/2.5 = 4.44k dps

That's a 1.4kdps loss 3% of the time, which equates to about 42 DPS loss overall.

115 crit rating = 2.5% crit. Pretty sure 2.5% crit is going to get me more than 42 dps.

There is also the rage benefits : sudden death (20) + Slam (15 + the 0.5 pushback of your next white hit) vs Dodged SD (6?) and OP (5).

@Geo: Exp rating is probably at 0 because you are already capped. At which point, it doesn't add any more dps.

Madvil, this post, while mainly oriented towards haste CD stacking, also applies to any other CD you may have. The summation is use everything you have, as often as you can.

I don't believe that 2T10 would have an effect on CD usage, short of not using MI during the buff, because you don't want to waste a GCD in that 5 second window.
