I'm a combat rogue with a current Dps Spreadsheet calculation of 10710.5 dps. I'm closing in on my 2nd T10 piece and 2 set bonus. I'm trying to determine wether it would be advisable and a dps gain to drop KS glyph, picking up ToT glyph and swapping ToT with my other rogue guildie (him doing the same glyph swap and having 2 set bonus). Thoughts?

A nice Tipp for all should be to use the invisibility at 80% Teargas and 35% (Prof)
So you don"t have to chance on fire because of the dots it doesn"t matter.
Same like Vanish.

I got a question. Has anyone tried FB-spec lately? I ask because if I am not mistaking Arcane should best in DPS. But with the new Scorch improvement, and loads of (264) crit-epics are available for us clothies I was just wondering if FB would be even better these days as Arcane.
When fully fire-geared in patch 3.2 I had up to 80% crit in 25-man raids. That could become even more with T-10 gear. That's loads, wich also is good for Ignite-dmg. (crit-stacks) Also I think the 2x T-10 proc-setbonus will proc quicker with Fire than with Arcane.
Or is Arcane still simply the best spec as PvE-raiding mage?

Jaded
I'm a combat rogue who's been playing since pre-bc, about a week into it actually. Some of the new Changes that I'm seeing as far as combining stats, streamlining talent trees, and changes, just in general to how we gear, and how we spec our character... I don't like them. I may learn to... but right now I hate them.
If they had to earn reputation with me... which they kind of do, to keep my subscription running, they would have to start at hated and give MASS turn ins of content until their fingers were blistered from clicking on me to turn in.
Now don't get me wrong. There are a whole bunch of things that Blizzard has done and will do that are completely awesome. But I'm sorry, enough is enough.
As it applies to rogues, the way our gear will become shared is ridiculous. Building points as passives into trees, ridiculous. Blizzard got tired of having a complex gearing system and got pissed. Am I missing something? They've made everything in the game easier. Everything. I'm expecting to log on next xpac and just have a little note from Blizzard stating that all of my characters have been pushed to max level where I can just roleplay with other players on Hello Kitty Adventure Island to get a 3bajillion DpS Cape that I can wear with my Pikachu costume.
I do understand that the internal mechanics will be just as complex, if not more, and we will have new different choices to make. But it just seems that my rogue will have a little less flavor this coming expansion. He will have a little less depth, and he will have a little less well... Roguishness about him.
It feels like they're eliminating OUR choices about our class.
I hope I'm not alone in this, but this all just seems a little easier than it should be. This of course is coming from someone who walked until they were 40, had to get each individual flight path and remembers when only a few purple items made you an in-game god. So please realize this is a Jaded perspective.

Well my gear score is now just at 4800 and I am currently using the META/RUIN spec.. I am only putting out between 2.6 to 3.0k and there are locks in my guild that are close to a 1000 gearscore points under me that are putting out the same DPS I am. I need help bad!!!! can someone look at my stuff and help me get better please... My rotation is exactly what the thread about META/RUIN says to use for max DPS with this spec. Also I am duel specced Destro and I only put out about 200 DPS more than my current spec. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!!! I am tired of sucking!!!!!!!!!

I think you're missing the point of all their changes, and in fact have it exactly backwards. Blizzard's goal isn't to take choices out of the game, it's to give you more.
Look at how raiding rogues function now: How do we spec? The same. Do I have choices in talents? Not really, not if I want to raid, be competitive, and offer up the best DPS possible from my class. So what do I do? I come to EJ, find the top DPS spec, and spec into it. No choices, no real thought put into it, nothing.
Now it's unlikely they will ever be able to get rid of the best-spec mentality entirely, but by burning passive DPS gain talents like % to hit, crit, expertise into the trees, they are giving us an opportunity to spend our points on more unique offerings. Right now the PvE (and presumably PvP) trees are basically auto-fill, but imagine a day when a raiding rogue could spec into Deadly Brew, Riposte, and Throwing Specialization without feeling like they just ruined their rDPS. Now imagine you have a CHOICE of which handy-dandy extras you want to spec into. How novel! Those may come in handy!
As far as the gear changes go, I look forward to them. As it stands, it's hard for almost anyone to eyeball two new pieces of gear and pick which is better. They could guess, but ultimately they'd run to a spreadsheet and have it pick one for them. I don't think stat simplification will reduce my reliance on the spreadsheets by any huge factor, but at least I'll feel like I can eyeball an upgrade without a PhD and a gum wrapper.
I don't really think this is a great venue for some long drawn out discussion about an expansion 8 months off, so we should probably shelve it. Let's come back when we have actual patch notes to discuss.

There is also always option of using +6 stat gem to activate meta, effectively replacing 4 str with 6 agi (so only viable when agi SEP is over 0.67 - which is as often the case as not ).
As for your Ret pally bud - it seems right now for ret agility is almost exactly equal to crit unlike for us (they get better conversion rates) - so he might be right in his own sense

20% haste does mean 20% faster cast. People confuse "faster" with "shorter". 100% faster means 50% shorter cast time (twice as fast).

... and you know this how? Wowhead (or MMO-Champion) is the closest thing we have to actually seeing the the Heroic version of these trinkets will look like. So, simply saying that it is 2 mins without giving any evidence seems slightly shallow.
I would have to guess that this is a typo on wowhead's part, since reducing the CD by 50% AND increasing the mana output seems slightly insane for only jumping from 251->264.

i did also read this and i cant see how they have so low procc chance, i basically had it on cooldown by stomping healing stream, for example on Professor on position move, and it kept proccing of that.for me i would say it was above 80%.
linked the procc to Power auras and it pretty much was lit up constantly.
but yea not looking to say its anywhere near bis.

I apologize if this in not the proper place for this post, but here goes.
I just got needle encrusted scorpion to drop. Now if this proc's Landsouls spreadsheet tells me my ArP will shoot up to 115%. Does this mean I should replace my ArP gems to STR until I am around 100% ArP with the proc? If so should I also switch from Hearty Rhino to Dragonfin Filet?
Again I am sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I tired to post in the warrior forums but do not yet have access.

Im currently playing Mutilate (standard 51/18/2), and I got "Shard of the Crystal Heart", and "Herkuml War Token" as trinkets, but as of the new patch, were we benefit alot more from haste, my question is. Is it worth taking the "Meteorite Whetstone" from UP HC, over my "Shard Of The Crystal heart" ? This might have been stated in another thread of post, but I haven't found a direct answer, neither has it helped me to try and google it.

The only way that the Whetstone could possibly be better than Shard is if you are completely hit capped without the Shard. Generally, even though the Whetstone provides slightly more haste, the passive stats on the Shard boost its effectiveness beyond those of the Whetstone.
