Question on +hit
So I picked up my 2nd piece of t10, shoulders. Big upgrade from cheap version of t9. My problem is I'm now at 6.37% hit, well under the cap.
What are my best options? Pick up Icewalker/+hit to glove chants? Is it worth it to gem some hit?
Currently hoping for 10m ICC belt from Rotface, which would boost me quite a bit. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Is the procrate good enough to consider that?
(oh yeah, I could try Solace but that dropped twice for us - once in normal, once in Heroic, think we're really unfortunate with trinket drops in ToC - same stuff was with Death's Choice)

Definitely not worth buying, imho.
50 badges are better spent on saronite for crafted gear or getting some set pieces ready for upgrades in 25man and eventually heroic. [Purified Lunar Dust] is easily replaced with [Sliver of Pure Ice]. The latter has more spellpower and ends up giving slightly more mp5. Because of the 45s-1m ICD on the trinket, a boss fight results in 68-76 mp5 (see wowhead for detailed calculations from several sources/tests), while the ice gives similarly 66-87mp5.
The trinkets you currently have access to sound just fine. Pandora has about 82mp5 if DP is kept on CD (depending on fight length too). Talisman still more mp5. Yeah, you lose some sp, but not much (talisman gives 30sp and pandora has the proc as well as 26sp from int/talents).

If you have the Molten Core build, I read somewhere here on EJ that the Quick Decay glyph exceeds the Metamorphosis glyph because it will equal more Molten Core procs.
I must say that, unless it's just my good fortune, since I swapped to the Quick Decay glyph from Metamorphosis, I've noticed a significant increase in the number of Molten Core procs.

You can still use the macro even though your runes are on CD. In fact I even hit any macro during GCD to make sure I activate the runestrike as sometimes you get the runestrike just before the end of your swing timer. Jus tmake sure your !Runestrike is before the skill you are using and the macro will execute that, get to the attack and fail on the attack, but it will activate the runestrike.

Crit Cap for Cat Druid?
Simple Question: What is the Crit Cap for a Cat Druid? I think I recall reading it being something like 72% before procs? I'm not certain though, and I'm coming awfully close (if not already there) so this is something I really need answered. Thanks in advance.

[Tiny Abomination in a Jar] was nerfed indirectly thanks to the PPM changes that affected all melee classes, but as far as we know the Sim is modeling it correctly - feel free to compare it with other trinkets yourself.

A Demonology Warlock using a Felhunter would actually be capable of mitigating a lot more of the damage. Master Demonologist reduces the damage they take from the spell effects by 10%, and Soul Link then mitigates a further 20% after that, totalling a 28% damage reduction through their spec, plus the effects of any resistance they can pull together.
Also, from what I've read, the Empowered Shadow Lance is unaffected by your resistance, which puts a mage a disadvantage at this point. While the damage should be easily mitigated via the nuclei, it doesn't hurt to have the extra 28% spell damage reduction that the demonology warlock has on top.
There' no reason why a mage can't tank it, it's just that I would rather allow a demonology warlock to do it if there is one available.

I had seen it on one of the best geared DK's from Ensidia's armory and glanced over it, but my guildy drew my attention to it more closely and now I'm starting to think that its cabbage.
First of all (according to WoWhead) the proc rate is roughly 10%. However, the proc is only on crits. Assuming most raids I'm in have me sitting comfortably over 40% (sometimes up to 47%) that means only a 4% chance to proc on each hit, to gain 15 seconds of 678 arp...
Compare that to the Mjolnir Runestone from Ulduar which grants 665 arp for 10 seconds with a proc rate of 15% on every melee hit (as well as losing 10 crit from the equip effect.) and I don't see why anyone (let alone someone from Ensidia) would pick NES (<---lol) over MR.
Is there something I'm missing? Or does the extra 5 seconds, 10 crit, and 13 arp make up for the fact that it proc's 11% less often...?
|
There is nothing you are missing mate. Unfortunately i don't have much luck on trinkets, so had to go down to use this one (i am quite a fresh dk, co raided ToC only several weeks..no luck...Ulduar was outdatet by the time i went back into the game allready). I have tested it at several ocations in ICC25 and im very much dissapointed by it. Lets give you a slight example. Yesterday on festergut (5minutes fight) i got 2 procs...have been smashing the bastard through the whole fve minutes flat and two procs...that is not impressive at least. My crit is about 37% unbuffed, 45% buffed i suppose approx.

I got myself [Drape of the Violet Tower], but that's mostly because I didn't have chances to put my hands on Anub 25HC one.

I'm a bit newer here, so I do have a few questions.
What is the 5x1 rotation? It wasn't explained in this thread and it seems to be assumed in the others I've read.
Regarding mana regen, if I use Rejuv as my primary heal, then it is rarely an issue. However, as I've been picking up more gear, I've been going more and more to Regrowth as my primary heal, with Rejuv and WG thrown in as necessary. This is taking a toll on my mana, as I'm constantly self-innervating, asking for Hymns, and mana tide. Ultimately, this does lead to more throughput, as you can stack regrowths 20-10 seconds before massive raid damage, and then stack rejuv in the 10 seconds prior.
As a result, I've been stacking more and more spirit and mp5 enchants.
On Blood Queen 10 man, I finished the fight with roughly 7k mana, using 1 runic mana pot, Hymn, and self-innervate (unglyphed).
*edit*
Regrowth is roughly 40% of my healing done over the last week of raiding; I've been experimenting with Regrowth as my primary heal, since I don't use any set bonus.

yet again about armorpene :)
yo, either it is my sloppy search using or the forum mechanics im not used to with, but...
i was thinking capping my Blood DK to armorpene hardcap. talents give the 10% passive, so i need to hit 90% armorpenetration from gear'n gems (right?), what is the exact number of rating for 90% armorpenetration? :l
all i find on the forums is the 100% 1400hardcap blablabla 1400

Hi guys, i found myself playing with rawr trying to figure out the Best-in-slot set for me. I'm raiding in a guild that won't probably be raiding ICC 25 hard modes, so i decided to build up a 264-limit setup.
This is the result (imagine the set with full +20arp gems, and only a Nightmare tear on the chest):
[Sanctified Ahn'Kahar Blood Hunter's Headpiece]
[Rimetooth Pendant] or [Sindragosa's Cruel Claw], i'd love the crit tbh
[Sanctified Ahn'Kahar Blood Hunter's Spaulders]
[Recovered Scarlet Onslaught Cape]
[Sanctified Ahn'Kahar Blood Hunter's Tunic]
[Scourge Hunter's Vambraces]
[Sanctified Ahn'Kahar Blood Hunter's Handguards] or [Handgrips of Frost and Sleet] and here comes the big problem!
[Nerub'ar Stalker's Cord]
[Leggings of Northern Lights]
[Taldron's Long Neglected Boots]
[Ashen Band of Endless Vengeance]
[Frostbrood Sapphire Ring]
[Deathbringer's Will]
[Death's Verdict] or [Whispering Fanged Skull], i'd prefer DV but i'm unsure
[Hersir's Greatspear]
[Zod's Repeating Longbow]
The main problem here is the HANDS slot. In the end, it's a decision between 76 arp (that allows me to reach 100% armor penetration rating), and the 4-pieces bonus.
What do you think about this? Hard capping armor-penetration (100,3%), or getting 4-pieces bonus and stopping at 98.3%?
