Ok, so I've seen a few Rogues walking around with Black Magic on their weps. So i had to ask. Does this new haste Proc stack to = 500 haste and if so does that > 800 Ap from Berzerking? I would have to imagine that it only procs from poisens.

Im Having some issues gemming for all arpen when the gear I keep getting is full of crit/str/ap? Any thoughts or supportive arguments oony why I should go crit/str would be greatly appreciated. Tyvm

I switched to the 2 piece T10 and 2 T9 recently and have found that it is great for 25 mans with large amounts of raid damage, fester etc. but worse for 10 mans or fights with low raid damage. This is just my personal experience but I would be interested to see if others have similar or differing opinions. Also I'm now trying to decide if I want to go for 4 tier 10 or just pick up some off pieces. Has anyone gotten 4 piece yet or have any opinions on which pieces to pick up? I have pants/gloves so far.

Ok, I have read alot of the posts here, and the math is beginning to really hurt my head. Or the vodka, I don't know which yet. But my question is this: (and I do apologize if this question is posted in the wrong thread. I will be glad to move it.)

I have been using "rawr" for the past couple of days trying to figure out my gear; gemming wise and enchant wise. Trying to get my best optimal DPS for raids.
But what I've always been taught, and what "rawr" is telling me now are two different things.
I've always been told to gem SP. But "rawr" wants me to do things WAY different. And now I feel I am messing myself up. I don't know??
I just need some help. If any well Elite Mage out there has some time, would you mind helping me out? I think I'im screwed over lol.

I'm in the same situation, considering that it is quite difficult to reach the haste soft cap (without CF).
Isn't it better to not get the 4T10 bonus and go for some cloth item ?

It will allow to do something like that (this is a quickly done profile, just for the example).

I couldn't really decide by simply going by what the Compendium said.

I haven't seen anyone (including the spreadsheet) mention anything about the two short duration buff potions that are available. Is the dps on either Potion of Speed or of Wild Magic (for the crit rating) too negligible to be worth giving up a mana or health pot if necessary?

Just a quick survey to see how many people actually match the metric DPS calculation from the spreadsheet? I test on the Boss target dummy and am usually just a little under what the spreadsheet tells me I should be doing, by about 100 DPS. I assume if people are hitting their targeted DPS then they are playing the class to the fullest (in terms of DPS anyhow)?

dosnt have to be uber long jus like some basic ground info for starting off feral tanking

I have a question about itemization.

Since start of WOTLK our guild has had an understanding that +hit items should go to dps first and that healers have priority for items with mp5. Now there is an argument that we should let caster dps bid as equals (we use dkp system) with healers on items with mp5 because it is a relevant stat to caster dps and that arcane mages especially benefit from it. A person is claiming that having a tiny bit more mana allows an arcane mage to cast a few more arcane blasts at max stacks instead of resetting their stacks and this being quite common mage knowledge.

I have tried to search for valid information that would back up the argument of mp5 being useful for a mage but i havent found any so i would appreciate your insight on the matter.

Does mp5 in gear really benefit caster dps and particularly arcane mages so that we should rethink the rule and let caster dps on the same line with healers?

I am currently using the CF spec because my haste is not quite enough to switch. (sitting at 752 haste atm) I am using Trauma meaning I lost all haste off my main hand. I'm not sure it will be possible to get 835 haste with the 4 set so you may be right. PP wont drop the bloodied smock for me it seems so far (qq) but we only run 2-4 leather casters so I'm sure I'll get it at some point. I'm just hanging onto my badges for now.
