So I'm considering switching from Blood to Unholy. I am the only DK in a 10 man ICC raid group that slightly favors casters in the makeup. IN addition, we already have a true shot aura. So, I figure I'll be doing everyone a favor if I throw in Ebon Plague over Abom's Might.
Here's my issue, as Blood I've been favoring ArP pretty heavily. From what I read here in the stat weight section, I need to reconsider my itemization, specifically where I've given up Str and Crit for ArP (Girdle of Arrogant Downfall and Banner of Victory, for example). The idea that ArP is worth less than Str I can handle. ArP only surpasses str when you reach a certain amount due to scaling in Blood, anyway. Does ArP overtake Crit at some point?
I apologize if this was covered in depth recently. I read through the first and last few pages of posts here for due diligence. If it was somewhere in the middle, I missed it. I have no problem using Kahorie's for individual pieces and whatnot, but I find it harder to use in big picture talk.
Anyone have strong thoughts?

I just got the first set bonus from tier 10 which is 12% haste for 5 seconds after Missle Barrage. I noticed that i can get off 3 Arcane Blasts in the 5 seconds, most of the time the Missle Barrage talent has proced by then. So then maybe we should change the attack rotation to AB 3 times or until MB procs then AM. Would this increase DPS versus AB 4 times or until MB procs then AM?

It's in the stat ratings in the first post, but essentially ArP is better than crit if you're not using 4T9 or have a high (mostly 264) ilvl, due to the ArP that's all over 264 gear.

one of the ones that Manny had. I am trying to find a spec with Incanter's absorption with it in there somehow, but then a lot of stuff in there pushes back as well, So I am unsure of what to do.

Could someone help me out with this?

So, if you look at worldoflogs.com, all the top dps fury warriors that are putting out excellent dps are landing more heroic strikes then anything else. Its also their highest damage attack throughout any boss fight. Is there some change in the typical rotation for this?

1% spellhit = 26.23 hitrating (Source: Combat Ratings thread on the general EJ Class Mechanics Forum)
BoP gives 2% spellhit per point, so 52.46 rating for 1 point, 104.92 rating for 2 points.

Most of the spreadsheets will likely have removed Mirror by now, or I'd recommend checking there. That said, this is probably the correct decision, as ArPen is not a strong stat for Mutilate. Still, I'd save some Triumph emblems and replace Mirror with one of the Triumph trinkets as well.

so far testing i have done of the t10 4/5 set is going pretty well the hot from chain crits rolls atm. so far i have got it up to just over 8k at tick on trash ill get some logs of it come next weeks 25man raids. should really be pretty insane numbers on fights like BQL. it looks like on avg. its doing about as much as ELW or a bit more.

hey all. been going over the forums to find a better build.
first off this one is a raiding hunter so mana is not much of an issue.
second not overly concerned with pet dps. since most numbers i have seen, the pet only does a small percentage compared to the hunters numbers.

this is what i came up with, and wanted a second (or more) opinion before i did it.

At 1400, 100% hard cap armor penetration, does it even matter if you have sunder up on a boss, for your personal DPS?

What do you mean?The typical rotation is to heroic strike on every melee swing at high gear levels.

I just came back from like a 3month break, and I had been trolling EJ and some other sites for the past few days to look at arp v str and make sure the rotation was all the same, but i actually had not seen ANYWHERE that you were to HS on every melee instead of bloodthirst. :P

If thats the case when do the bloodthirsts come into play at all?

This was discussed awhile back but pretty much icy Veins through Marrowgar's Bone Storm and go fire for gunship and you'll have minimal push-back issues. I can't see your armory link but it is possible that you don't have the raid-buffed health to take full advantage of 3/3 Incanter's Absorption; one of those points might be better spent finishing out magic Attunement.

HS does not invoke the GCD, so Bloodthirst has no effect on spamming HS; Other than rage usage, but as Powerslave said, HS might as well replace auto attack for the main hand at high gear levels.
