I know this has been discussed but have yet to see an update on the first page in this thread.
I've found that disregarding 4pc T10 for Arms nets out more DPS until hard mode and Arthas loot is available.
My current setup has me sitting at 10,695k DPS.
Dislodged Foreign Object is an excellent DPS trinket, but it's undervalued in some older versions of Rawr--you might need to refresh item data from the Armory. It's significantly better than even heroic Reign.
Thanks, updating my armory item cache in Rawr atm.
So first of I'm a newb, been playing WoW for a couple months now, and reading this forum, and other guides online. I have found many post very helpful, but overall, I think I am failing to understand, possibly some of the basics.
I have tried mutilate, but at the time didn’t have a good MH dagger, and could not produce very good damage, so I went back to combat. Currently I do around 3500-4500 DPS on the dummy, and in 10 mans I hit 5-6k.
I have looked at the spreadsheets and everything tells me to get a MH, OH sword or axe, and I have Liars Tongue for an OH but have not been able to find a good MH sword/axe...
Anyways I have a lot more reading and learning to do, if you can critique what I have or point me in a direction for weapons that would be great. Again I am a newb so any help would be great!
I have spent days looking through only maybe a 1/4 of the posts and cant seem to find the answers I need. So, please, bear with me if these have been asked and answered.
I am a 20/51/0 Combat rogue. I downloaded the spreadsheet, and selected all my gear with current enchants and gems, and its still recommending expertise over AP or AGI in slots (plus hit!) and I am at 440 hit rating and 27 Expertise, am I missing something?
Second, how important is haste for combat? I have been gemming for it, but I don't know if that is a mistake.
And Finally, what is with ArPen, with so much of it available, should I start using it? If so, it would make gearing alot simpler as so many badge rewards would become viable.
I don't see how everyone is having issues with range on this fight.
Well, the strat our raidleaders were using called for the boss to be tanked near the green ooze spawn point, with all the ranged to be back in the corner so if we got knocked back we would hit the wall. It was pretty tough to get in range of the orange spawn point from there without losing a lot of dps time.
I don't know where they got this strat, but it was from some popular web site, I am sure -- maybe others are trying to do it the same way! Like I said, it went a lot better when we all moved out to the middle, and the tank moved the boss around to the green puddles. I found a good position near the entrance where I hardly had to move at all.
Anyway, Hawk Eye would be a convenience on this fight, but not necessary and not really a dps gain.
Hi first time post here. I am a fury warrior atm for dps raiding and I was really wanting to know if there is some secret to do better damage that I am unaware of or somehting. Currently I use the WW>BT>slam priorities and heroic strike almost always but i try really hard not to spend too much rage or not hit it enough, and I think I am doing ok on that. So in raids with my guild with full melee buffs, flasks, and food also getting hysterias from our tank, I usually only average around 4.6k. Both the spreadsheet and I confirm that I should be doing way more, but I don't know what I am doing wrong, so if anyone has any tips or can identify right off what I am not doing or doing incorrectly I would much appreciate it so I can feel like I'm contributing to my guild again.
I am not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I have seen several variations of the Unholy Spec and I wanted to get some people take on certain talents and why one should or should not get them.
I had a question about Shadow's Edge vs Bryntroll in the main hand. I am currently using Shadow's edge in my main hand and bryntroll in my offhand but i keep seeing other warriors doing the opposite. I'm just not sure if the more procing in the mainhand is worth damage lose between the weapons.
Side note: If the green ooze targets you, drop an explosive trap at the last second. We drag the boss along with the ooze so melee cleave hits both, your trap hits both too.
Side note, when green ooze targets you just feign death when it's few yards away, it will stop targeting you, then it waits for 3-4 seconds before it picks new target in which time it should be dead. When hunters gets targeted in our raid melee don't even bother swapping from Putricide to ooze.
1. Increase survivability with Magic Absorption, Arcane Fortitude and Arcane Shielding. I permanently use Mage Armor and Mana Shield. Also, if there is another frost mage, I cast frost ward.
2. Using PoM/Pyroblast is great against rogues/druids. Or simply use it as a finishing move.
3. Use snares and stuns wherever possible! Cast slow, Fire blast (with 2 sec stun) and polymorph for CC.
PS. NOTE GLYPHS.
PPS. I can't decide if I want 1 point in focus magic, 1 point in incanter's absorption or 1 point in netherwind prescence...
