Sorry to bust up all the fun discussion about the new weapons but I have to say one thing......ALL THAT ROGUE GEAR WITH SO MUCH CRIT IS GETTING ANNOYING TO SAY THE LEAST. I am having a hard time trying to balance things and having to literally keep nice gear in my bag because of the Crit Cap. Why on earth would Blizzard not see this and say "hmmm maybe I should replace some of this crit with Haste or ArP"? Does Blizzard even recognize the crit cap or simply don't see it as a big deal? The problem will only exacerbate when heroic gear is acquired.

(sorry for sounding like I'm ranting but I honestly would like some insight into what Blizzard is thinking).

Actually my current set has T9 258 helm/gloves and it's superior to gloves/shoulders, regardless of what pieces you use I think it's better than 4pcT10 iLvl 264 in any scenario.

The idea of being able to access the AH from the web is interesting, I think it is opening pandora's box though. If this happens it seems someone would be able to use a program to control their web browser on a website and never have any direct interaction with Warcraft. I foresee gold farmer companies and other people running programs that completely destroy the market for the casual user. Using a program to monitor the AH 100% of the time, always controlling and price fixing. The casual user posts an item and some program detects it and you are undercut within seconds. Bliz can tell me i'm not allowed to use a program to control my toon inside their game, can they tell me im not allowed to use a program to control my chrome browser? And just as important.... if they tell me not to, can they stop me?

The intention of this thread is to make the best possible lists taking into account the corresponding restrictions, not to argue about the fact if it makes sense to roll on leather/mail gear. That is why there are multiple lists.
I always pass for the hunter/rogue/etc. needing the stuff; in this case however, it is strictly about a list with BiS without restrictions regarding items...
Altogether, I simply asked IF it was better, not claiming that it was absolutely undoubtedly superior.

[edit: also, if Blizz didn't want pallies to even think about rolling on the polearm, they could have given it very easily a 2.8 speed or something similar; I daresay they are very well aware of what the present itemization of the polearm (and gear in general) means for retribution in particular]

I am pointing it out because it's unrealistic to achieve such set unless you roll against leather and mail wearers. Sure you may get one or two pieces if it drops frequently. By the time you get such set it will be obsolete. If you want to keep dreaming go ahead.

would appear be the BIS for us druids that don't get to do 25 man heroic but can still get 10 man heroic
and BIS trinkets would be [Muradin's Spyglass] with [Phylactery of the Nameless Lich], or does 258 reign beat out the spyglass?
from what number crunching i have done they seem the most likely candidates.

and for folks doing heroic 25 [Phylactery of the Nameless Lich] with [Phylactery of the Nameless Lich]
sound about right?

Quick question here.

Tier-10 tanking gear, which four pieces would you use? (or, more concisely, which piece is best left out)

I'd hate to drop that many frost badges if they could be better spent.

Just throwing this out there but if you have 5 sunders checked and change your armor pen from 100% to 80% and regem for Strength it doesn't change your dps on the spreadsheet.

im curious is it usefull to keep stacking Haste even after 1036 haste rating LHW hitting GCD nearly th0 but still >< , cant figure it out atm im getting haste capped so continue stacking haste or switch to sp / Int ?

Pleasantries aside, I have a question to make, and some may even find it noobish :3

Right, the thing is, I have not been the most forward planning birdie around, so I got 2pc of t9, and was happy. But now with ICC around, I really like the t10 bonus, and have been working myself up to the setbonus. But I now have a problem. I am in no way interested in waiting even longer times for my 2pc t10. Would it be a bonus or disadvantage from going from the 245 gloves, to the t10? (aka, loosing 2pc t9 for gaining 2pc t10.)

Sorry if this have been resolved already :3

Hello! I'm looking for information on a FoL paladin. While I did read the first post pros and cons, I believe I want to give this spec a try.

Right now, the guild isn't doing much hard progression content, so having two paladins HL seems to be a bit over kill. Anyway, here are my questions:

1. Is 4pT9 better than 2pT10 for a FoL paladin?
2. What meta is best for FoL paladins?
3. What are the optimum choices glyph-wise?
4. What is the gearing preference: haste/crit, haste/mp5, or crit mp5?
