The decision to take arcane shot into your rotation isn't really based on pure ArP. It's based on Crit and ArP. Simply because if you crit with Steady you add 30% off that as a bleed dot, but with Arcane you dont. Ofcourse ArP favors Steady, but dont forget that crit plays a role in this. I suggest you to use the spreadsheet to find out wether or not to use Arcane with your setup, and find out why your dps dropped aswell.
I've become very confused lately about all the talk of haste gemmig and some EP values. I've been trying to up my dps as a 51/18/2 to compete with all these combat rogues. Here are the things I have kind of tripped me up. What are the updated AP haste and agility EP values for 3.3 for a HFB build? Also i saw an earlier post about gemming haste in yellow and stark in red, what makes his superior to AP in red and stark in yellow? My current gear uses a lot of yellow (7) would this make a difference? Thanks in advanced.
Edit: I read more where I saw that I should be hemming haste in BiS gear. When does i make the switch from AP and stark to stark and Quick kings amber, according to red and yellow slots, respectively?
After reading this thread on wednesday when tyrian created it and having thought about it alot, i specced 3/3 IA and it was fine for all of ICC, since there is alot of aoe dmg everywhere. But it really shines on Festergut if you are (one of) the unmovable ranged camps. I also moved two points into Frost Warding, which seems to be alot more useful together with IA.
I seem to remember someone opening a bug report about 2 x tier10 proc locking out actions on some occasions. I get this, 2 piece bonus will proc but I can't use any ability for 2 or 3 seconds, then it goes back to normal.
Is this still happening to others or is it just me.
It only locks you out of divine storm, it's an annoying bug but very easy to get around of, just proceed to the next highest dps skill.
You're gemming correctly for the most part, but has some room for improvement. Most top rogues gem as follows...
Meta: Agi + 3% (with few exceptions, typically orc or troll stacking duration reduction with racials)
Orange: AP + 5% Hit > Resi/Crit (Socket hit up to 5%, then resi or crit based on personal preference)
Blue: One prismatic 10 stats gem, rest socket red. (AP/stam is your best bet if you're dead set on picking up the socket bonus)
Ambush is a poor glyph as the ability really doesn't carry much weight anymore. I suggest sprint, preparation, or cloak of shadows instead.
My personal preference is gemming resil over crit, and using the sprint glyph. You won't need the run speed increase due to fleet footed.
Personally i'd run with Shadows Edge MH and Rammani's Blade of Culling OH.
Edit: Also with your gear, i'd try and drop Mjolnirs runestone and get Banner of victory and gem to hard cap. I reckon you could get very close to around 85-90% with full gemming arp and the expertise you get from ramanis allows you to drop the expertise gems. Run it into a spreadsheet to see what numbers you get.
well about haste vs crit with Tiny Abomination in a Jar and the cloak echant (i only use rawr cose its more user friendly)
haste dps value it have to do with the lenght of the fight or so if u play with haste and the time u dps @ rawr u can see the haste some times be more than all stats even str other times worth lower than agi and even arp (depends gear) even after Tiny Abomination in a Jar i think we dont gem haste after 4p t10 & Tiny Abomination in a Jar we go haste @ back

My biggest concern is as a Holy priest handling raid heals I value Crit quite a bit because A CoH or PoH crit is a beautiful thing in a fight like festergut where the raid takes so much AoE damage. What would you say would be a good amount of Crit/Haste mixture in order to maximie the speed of the cast without losing the benefit of those much needed crits.
Should a prot pally even worry about gemming or enchanting. My hit is around 70 right now with. Sometimes I have problems holding aggro but not often. So me question is should I change something? my paladin is horde named Kleav on Cho'Gall
