Honestly its not entirely necessary to turn the whole 180 degrees, turning to your right or left and summoning it should do the trick, as long as you don't directly face the center of the boss. I personally do almost all my movement with my mouse as its the easiest way for me.

Turn your mouse??

Xenonz they did another hotfix nerfing proccs even more, thus nerfing Bryntoll (disease applications dont procc it anymore). I wonder how this affects FC uptime.

Parry rating vs. dodge rating seems to come up quite a bit lately, in my gearing "should i or shouldn't I"s. Parrying is beneficial as I see it because the blade-ward enchant does damage on each successful parry. (if I'm understanding it correctly) but correct me if I'm wrong, wouldn't stacking expertise be a bad thing, since it lowers the chance that your attacks can be parried? Would it be better to just skip expertise entirely and let blade-ward procs work more often? I understand that tanks are more concerned with surviving then dealing damage so long as they keep threat but its always nice when you end up soloing the last 25k of a boss.

This raises a question I've been unable to find an answer to: what are the approximate attack power and armor of current raid bosses and how do you find that data?

I wanna see if anyone ran numbers on this or have tried it as well.

When you get to a certain number haste lets say 1000 GCD watch is vital and a bit annoying. During a blood lust its really annoying lol. Conflag will put everything below the gcd. so either do we not conflag which would prob still be a dps loss cause we wont get the buff to dmg or what i have been doing is throwing in soul fires, 3 in a row for 20k crits or so. soul fire is like a 1 second cast time in those 3 casts. idk if this was like a normal practice but i only started doing it.

any thoughts?

Has anyone tried out the 11/53/7 spec, I couldnt seem to find it throughout my search I found the standard 7/57/7 spec I wish I knew how to link it. Using 3/3 in IHM and ISS if everyone is seeing personal bests in DPS, removing the 3 points from IAS, with using 5/5 in IAotH, 2/2 Focus Fire, 3/5 Endurance Training to get the extra talent point in Aspect Mastery for the 30% AP bonus. Im currently sitting at 486 ArP w/o any trinkets and contemplating switching from SV to MM.

Really not worth it; Aspect Mastery doesn't increase your AP by 30%, it only increases the AP given by Aspect of Dragonhawk by 30%, so a disappointing 90 AP (which basically costs 4 talent points).

paper cutter

Hi, would it be possible to add the blue paper cutter dagger to spread sheet, to see how a 1.3 weapon with poor stats and dps scales with gear

So, i've read through all this

Hi all, first time in taking a part of a discussion in EJ, i've been keeping tabs on the frost DW discussion, as i'm a DK playing frost DW right now, I try to stick to the priority and i try to gear correctly, but i'm having trouble breaking 8k, while everyone else in here is pushing 8.5-9.5k the only way i can think of why thats happening is i'm doing something wrong, this is an armory of my toon The World of Warcraft Armory - Angelofsin @ Skywall - Profile, and for a good look at dps here's a a WoL link World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis, If i could get some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Frost raiding

I have more fun playing frost but the difference between Arcane and Frost in my gear makes it hard to get selected to raid if frost and not arcane!

:S

When do or would I see the difference make a smaller gap that I can raid as frost with out any issues?

Hi,

I'm running Microsoft Excel:mac 2008.
Unfortunately the file doesn't open giving me the error:

Excel cannot open this file
It may have been damaged or modified from it's original format.

Macros are enabled etc.

Would it be possible to make a version available to the Mac community? Or perhaps I should get a different version of Excel?

Thanks for your help.

Subt Dead?

Greetings Guru Gougers!

I'm new to a rogue, I have been playing it non-stop for the past two weeks. Unfortunately, I have become addicted to the dreaded subtlety spec! It's far too fun and I haven't run into many 1v1's I couldn't deal with.

As I'm only 68, I'm currently running this spec. I intend to add glyph of preparation. Depending on what second tree I go down, I'll either glyph vigor or leave gouge?

I've been perusing this thread for some time now and can't find a definitive answer to my quandary, what is the most effective way to play a totally dead spec (Subtlety)?

I'm in love with the control and utility. Nothing is more satisfying then following a hunter's disengage, trinking a lock's fear, or other knock back effects with a well placed shadowstep to shadowdance to cheapshot and so forth.

I think I already know that Subtlety is the "worst" pvp spec. What I would LOVE to know, is better ways to play it! Yes I'm that guy, I want to be at my best playing the worst. For instance, should I be using slow swords and macros for ambushes? Am I stuck with DP/Crippling? Any tips you old shadowstep veterans may have I'd love to hear of them.

Cheers!

Spooks

Mongoose is better in every way than Blade Ward. Parry diminishes so much worse than dodge that it will never be worth gemming for survival; I haven't crunched numbers but I'm fairly certain that if you want a survival/TPS gem you should go for Agi. In any case parry rating would be an insignificant contribution to your threat.

ok well that puts that spec outta the question, i guess I'll just stick to the standard 7/57/7 spec, but speccing into IHM instead of Pierceing Shots, I've been told that the talent isnt that great, please correct me if im wrong.
